The British Travel and Leisure Industry is starting to recover due in no small part to the current travel restrictions on travelling abroad, having said that tour operators and coach companies have taken on board the concerns of GTO’s and their groups to ensure that customers, visitors and passengers are confident to travel, not only are there highly effective cleaning and social distancing measures in place, booking terms and conditions have had to become much more flexible, now many offer money-back guarantees or the option to rebook if circumstances change consequently assuring their customers.

Overseas The Bayard Horse Parade
Fancy a beer?
Postponed due to the coronavirus, this once every ten year experience returns in May 2022,The Bayard Horse Parade promises once again to be an impressive historical event with theatrical and musical re-enactments and contemporary performances brought by some 2000 costumed actors. Some 20 floats, drawn by exceptionally beautiful horses, create an imaginative setting and an impressive sensation. Acrobats, stilt-walkers, standard-bearers and special effects marching along the streets boost the festive feeling.
With the ‘Bierkasteel’, Kasteel Brouwerij Vanhonsebrouck makes history. The Bierkasteel is the name of a new and impressive brewery complex in Izegem. The Bierkasteel is unique because in the last hundred years no new brewery has been built from scratch to a new site in the country. The Bierkasteel is a multifunctional event, relaxation and experience location where you can discover the wonderful world of brewing beer. Enjoy, taste, party, discover, meet, etc. The Bierkasteel offers a unique setting for an unforgettable experience. The visitors’ centre is the starting point for an inspiring brewery visit. Accompanied by a professional guide and supported by strategically placed media screens and handsets with information in five languages, you will discover the wonderful world of Kasteel Brouwerij Vanhonsebrouck
The highlight of each parade is the prancing and dancing of the Bayard Horse, carried around by the sturdy dockers guild and ridden by the four children of Aymon in knight armor, the Bayard Horse Music Band plays the traditional Bayard song. The fiddler, the jester Kalleke Step, the arquebusiers and halberdiers do not recede from the Bayard Horse’s side.
What is included in the visit? Tour (1.5 hours) with a professional guide Explanation with multimedia videos Two speciality beers for tasting (2*15 cl) Lovely gift after your visit Tasting a beer praline in the Beer Boutique Free parking on the spacious parking lot

St Albans Cathedral
If you like your pint with a bit of character, St Albans is your place! As an historic inn-keeping city, it’s no surprise St Albans has the most pubs per square mile in the country, and is home to England’s oldest pub, Ye Olde Fighting Cocks. Dotted amongst cobbled streets and residential roads venues offer food and drink, live music, sport - all served with a smile.
This spectacular cathedral has been the centrepiece of the city for centuries. An impressive landmark it stands on the site where Alban, Britain’s first Saint was buried over 1,700 years ago. This Norman Cathedral is a treasure trove of history and a must-see on any visit.
With over 100 acres of parkland in the city centre, you don’t have to look far for fresh air, nature and a slower pace. Venture a little further afield and there are fantastic walking trails and cycling routes leading visitors through picturesque countryside, native woods and meadows.

has long been recognised as one of the UK’s leading group-friendly destinations. Now, as GTOs look to reassure their groups and restore confidence in travel, Southport’s mix of wide shopping boulevards and wide open spaces, combined with all the fresh air that goes with being a coastal resort, is proving attractive for an enjoyable and safe day out. Enjoy a walk along the pier or by Marine Lake, or a stroll on the beach, then relax in beautiful King’s Gardens. Discover Lord Street, the unique Victorian-canopied, tree-lined shopping boulevard, and enjoy Southport’s famous outdoor café culture. Adding to the town’s vibrant food scene, 2021 sees the opening of the new Southport Market, a purpose-built food hall that will champion local artisan suppliers. Combine time in the town with visits to Crosby Beach and Anthony Gormley’s world-famous art installation ‘Another Place’, 100 iron lifesize statues staring out to sea. Martin Mere Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) offers 800 acres of wide open space to see rare birds and pink flamingos. Visit historic Churchtown with its thatched roof cottages, and the nearby Botanic Gardens. Heart of England
Heart of England The Heart of England has always been a booming economic centre, starting with the wool trade in the Middle Ages which enriched Coventry, before becoming the pivot of the Industrial Revolution fuelled from the Black Country, it still maintains a largely unspoilt region found to the north and west of Birmingham, which means that there’s plenty of things to do both outdoors and indoors, walking, cycling, or maybe a boat trip on the canals (there are more in this area than there are in Venice, although we haven’t spotted any gondola’s yet), visiting stately homes and gardens, why not visit Croome Court once a secret wartime airbase and now a visitor centre. Outside is the grandest of English landscapes, ‘Capability’ Brown’s masterful first commission, with commanding views over the Malvern’s. This is arguably the most medieval of the UK’s regions, with great castles such as that at Warwick and literary trails around Stratford-UponAvon, home of the greatest writer in the English language, William Shakespeare.

London
London The world’s greatest city (although we would say that, perhaps we’re a little bias) needs little introduction, other than to say that whatever type of day out, short break or holiday you are after, if you can’t find it here it doesn’t exist. From free museums, art galleries and world-class theatre, iconic landmarks Big Ben, The Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, The Shard, we could be typing all day, with foodie delights, serious shopping and thanks to the abundance of greenery and outdoor activities, London has become the world's first National Park City. Why not do a bit of boating in Hyde Park or deer-spotting in Richmond Park? There’s history in abundance, from the early Middle Ages to be seen at Westminster Abbey and throughout the City of London where parts of the Roman Wall still stand — through to Regency and Georgian London magnificently preserved in the West End and around Regent’s Park.

North East
The North East A region that combines sandy beaches, castles and portcullises, miles and miles of natural terrain that's divided and dominated by Hadrian’s Wall, but also includes 3 vibrant and cosmopolitan cities and of course the birthplace of Ant and Dec who it would appear we can't get enough of. The magnificent Durham Cathedral, on a huge promontory overlooking the River Wear, is held by many tobe the finest example of Norman architecture in the land, and of course a more modern masterpiece The Angel of the North whose home is in Gateshead.

North West
The North West The Industrial Revolution created mighty cities thanks to textiles and shipping which are now home to arguably the greatest football teams the world has ever seen, well at least the most successful and lucrative. It doesn't come as a surprise to learn that this is the 3rd most densely populated area in the United Kingdom after the South East and Greater London, there's something for everyone here, iconic cities that are as famous for their music scenes as their grand industrial buildings and museums. Hear The Beatles resonate from street corners in Liverpool and the Stone Roses and Oasis rock in fashionable Manchester and now also home to Media City. For nature lovers, landscapes filled with lakes, estuaries buzzing with birdlife, and there's the Lake District another oasis of tranquil beauty.

The South East
The South East The South East is renowned for its beautiful gardens and miles of stunning coastline. Rich in cultural attractions, the region is easily accessible from London, and is also home to gently rolling countryside, two National Parks and some of Britain's sunniest and driest weather! Which has made this a firm favourite for those seeking a great dayout, short break or holiday.

Wales
Wales From valleys that are synonymous with mining to the mountainous National Park at Snowdonia and glorious sandy beaches that are among the longest in Britain.33 Interested in medieval history? The cathedral at the UK’s smallest city, St David’s, is a must. After great castles with battlements and drawbridges? It’s little wonder that Wales is also known as “the castle capital of the world”. Try Conwy, Caernarfon, Caerphilly and Beaumaris. For coastal holidays, you have more than 100 beaches dotted along the coastline, with 33 Blue Flag beaches. From Swansea and the Gower Peninsula to Pembrokeshire and Anglesey, Wales’s sandy beaches and coastal and cliff-top walks attract beach-lovers and ramblers from around the world. And with traditional Welsh villages in the north such as Betws-y-Coed, the breathtaking Brecon Beacons and traditional seaside resorts at Rhyl, Prestatyn and Colwyn Bay, it is clear that Wales is wide open and ready to greet you and your groups.

Scotland
Scotland Surely the most geographically diverse region in the whole of the British Isles, Scotland is a mist-shrouded land of mountains and fells, lochs and lakes, the Highlands and the Islands and with golf-courses, castles and beaches galore. Sporting tours — think golf, fishing, falconry and so much more — are an emerging theme, as is cuisine — Scotland’s food and drink offering is now truly world-class with provenance and sustainability envied the world over. Add in the ever-popular city of Edinburgh, with its Royal Mile, New Town and ghostly tours in the labyrinths beneath its streets, plus the possibility of island-hopping in the Western Isles (formerly known as the Hebrides) and the only drawback will be what to leave out…
