香港作曲家伍卓賢是炙手可熱的樂壇多面手，對不同類型及風格均有獨到靈感。本身是當代無伴奏合唱歌手的伍卓賢對傳統混聲合唱一直情有獨鍾，時有佳作，廣受本地以至大中華地區合唱團歡迎，傳唱者眾。
藉本團與伍卓賢合作此音樂會之機會，正好回顧伍卓賢最近十年的混聲合唱作品，也表揚伍卓賢在合唱音樂創作之貢獻，讓更多觀眾認識這位年青香港作曲家。同時喚醒香港觀眾對本地音樂以至本地音樂發展的關注。
Ng Cheuk-Yin is currently one of the multi-faceted musicians in the town, equally at home across various genres and musical styles.
This CU Chorus concert will commence with a newly rearranged version of Requiem HK for chorus and piano. This work is originally conceived as a choral theatre for the a cappella group Yat Po Singers. The new arrangement attempts to explore various possibilities in traditional choral singing while preserving the dark undertone of the original work.
