Bachelor of Science – Youth Development Leadership NEW Online Degree Completion Program Now Accepting Applications!
The Bachelor of Science in Youth Development Leadership program provides a degree completion educational opportunity for working professionals in the field of positive youth development. The courses are offered online in an accelerated (6-7 weeks) format with an annual 3-day, on-campus activity. Students meet weekly for discussion and interaction through a synchronous web conference. Who Should Enroll Students in this program are working in a variety of fields and venues including non-profit youth organizations, middle and high schools, recreation, extension, pediatric healthcare, and faith-based organizations. The program will prepare entry- and mid-career level professional youth development leaders for careers in agencies, institutions, schools, and community organizations that serve youth. This B.S. degree completion program is designed for professional youth workers, transfer students, change of major students, and career changers who wish to earn a degree in youth development. Admission Requirements • 60 semester credit hours, including all of the Clemson University general education requirements (33 hours) and approved electives (27 hours). • Cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (scale of 4.0). • Completion of the Clemson University admission process. Method of Delivery • All courses are delivered through distance education technologies with weekly synchronous meetings and annual 3-day campus visits (including 3-day orientation). • The courses meet in an accelerated format of 6-7 weeks each. Students are expected to register for two courses each term (fall, spring, and summer).

Length of Program This program requires 120 semester credit hours, including the 60 hours required for admission. Students who register for 2 courses per semester will complete the program in 10 semesters.
