According to McKinsey research, racially and ethnically diverse companies outperform industry standards by 35%. Additionally, inclusive companies are 1.7 times more likely to be innovation leaders in their market. These findings are important for the mortgage industry which is beginning to see the benefit of growing its workforce beyond traditional norms. Building a diverse workforce begins with recruitment and there are specific ways to attract talent from outside sources.
