HUMAN RIGHTS DAY
This month we celebrated Human Rights day. An annually celebrated day in South Africa. Most people do not know why we celebrate this day, some see it as another public holiday where we don’t go to school or work.

uman Rights Day is annually celebrated on the 21st of March to remind us about the sacrifices that accompanied the struggle for the attainment of democracy in South Africa The 1960s were characterized by a systematic defiance and protest against apartheid and racism across the country. On the 21st of March 1960, the community of Sharpeville
and Langa townships, like their fellow compatriots across the country, embarked on a protest march to march protest against pass laws. The apartheid police shot and killed 69 of the protesters at Sharpeville, many of them shot while fleeing. Many other people were killed in parts of the country. This was known to be the Sharpeville Massacre. This also exposed the apartheid government’s violation to human rights to the world.

ACi Streetwear designs and produces quality streetwear for youngins who live to progress. The mission is to dominate global streetwear forever and become an undying necessity in street culture worldwide. CACi stands for “Constant And Continuous Improvement”. This is a promise made by the founder, Morena Makakane,
to spend every day adding 1% to his and other’s lives, after being involved in a near-fatal car accident. The promise was Progress. This is how the tagline of “Designed By Progress” came to be. Every product is a step towards a bigger picture. Every product is a puzzle piece.
Since its inception CACi Streetwear has designed and produced streetwear staples such as caps, bucket hats, beanies, jackets, hoodies, sweaters & T-shirts. In the beginning, CACi sold clothing with quirky sayings on them like “typing…”, “Some Hun
is Gonna Steal This”, and “Tswai Must Fall”. There was even a T-shirt range with a picture of a car key on it, in order to educate the market on how to pronounce the brand name: CACi = “Car Key”. As time goes on, the product designs are
moving away from the quirky sayings, because the brand is growing and people want to know its core value. As the demand for this grows, so shall every garment reveal the autonomy of CACi Streetwear.

A few days later I got a camera and he told me to do something constructive. At first photography was just a hobby. Now I make it my goal to capture every moment. I love the end result when you have a family excited about the work that you have done that feeling you get is my fuel.

We want to make you feel that you are missing out and that by not going out you are committing CRIMES AGAINST SOCIALITES and OUTGOERS. Recap of February Issue
It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing; but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
couples at a chaplain, these marriages were forbidden but because he believed in love so much he would not let any law or rule contest against love. Love conquers all and all it shall conquer.
The month of February is traditionally known to us as The Month of Love. This is obviously because of how St. Valentine would secretly wed
Many celebrated the common day of love known as Valentine’s Day where couples went on dates and spent quality time. For some Valentine’s
Day was just another ordinary day; they went to their places of work and came back home to rest. The day was literally like the 25th of October (just any other ordinary day). On such days you wish that you could have loved something too, just to fill up those empty spaces or that void in your heart. Well there obviously is-
something else that you could love that will fill up that place where love is no longer. That particular something is what you’re wearing now, and if you’re not wearing something; what we are talking about is most probably in your closet. Yes… FASHION; the clothing side of it. The love of fashion is one embraced by many and loved by all. Everyone on this planet has an outfit that they love with all their being and existence. People cherish shoes with their soles, visit the jackshack once in a while and rock their stone washed-jeans away. From the streets of kwa-thema, to the outskirts of thembisa, right to Johannesburg and Pretoria CBD you see all the different kinds of fashion. That is evident that without fashion we will be lost. Streetwear is the petrol behind all of this for it gives fashion the drive it needs to go places.
Here at Culturestore, we believe that a new kind of love to fashion should be added and practiced by everyone- the love for local fashion.
Though only a very few people love local fashion, not everyone is enticed by the idea. Let us all for once shift our focus away from international status and let us look at what we have here at home. Bear in mind that Nike is an American local brand but it is not our (South
African) brand. Let us start loving local brands and let us shop local.
