WORD FROM THE EDITOR Being the editor for the CULTURE MAGAZINE is not easy! The content never ends and you are constantly pushed into a corner few days before the magazine drops. Through all that though I can easily say that we are able to deliver the best that we can offer to. It has been a whole year since we established this fine movement. But before we got to a year we first had the seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, and months to value. That all comes down to how we valued those respectively; To know the value of a second, ask our technical team after the site has crashed due to excessive inflow of traffic in the site. To know the value of a minute, ask

our founders when they had just missed the train to a fashion gig. To know the value of an hour, ask our very own PR when they have signed a new brand on CultureStore. To know the value of a day, ask our marketing team after a whole day in the streets handing out flyers to promote CultureFest. To know the value of a week, ask the sales team when they have not reached a weekly target. To know the value of a month, ask me, your editor when it’s time to compile CULTURE MAGAZINE. To know what a year means to us, come to CultureFest on the 29th of June 2019.

It was not an easy road but what lies ahead is greater than what we faced throughout the past year. I, as well as the team would like to thank you for all the support you have given us. See you next month, or CULTURE FEST.

the best articles that we have had and with CultureFest around the corner we are going to give you all that you should expect on the day, the dos and the don’ts, what you should wear and what you shouldn’t and all the things that will give you the best experience at our first annual event.

Name: Leago Sinclair Surname: Moganedi Stage Name: EeQue Who is Eeque? “I was born in Limpopo at the Lebowakgomo Hospital on the 24th of February in 1999 . Moved to Pretoria (Mamelodi) in 2005 where I started my primary school years at the Jacaranda Primary School in the suburb of Ersterus , participating more in the school’s musical activities more than sports .

The journey of my music career started at a really young age . Listening to all the young music stars like Chris Brown and Bow Wow etc back in the early 2000’s really got me interested in the music scene . I then moved from Pretoria to Springs in 2008. I got a friend that had a studio in Highschool (2012) and started recording my own music and sending it to friends and family . Time went by , built my own fanbase in school and my township , while still in Highschool . From then on I started getting booked for free and performing my own songs. Currently I just released a club banger song that features South African HipHop’s very own Bonginkosi ‘KiDX’ Mahlangu titled #Kgalikgali, shot the video and it’s doing far more than great for a local rapper .”

If I’m being honest photography was not my first love. I wanted to be a club D.J. It’s a funny story really after telling my uncle that my life goal at that time was to spend the rest of my weekends at some club mixing music for drunk people he was not having at all. A few days later I got a camera and he told me to do something constructive. At first photography was just a hobby. Now I make it my goal to capture every moment. I love the end result when you have a family excited about the work that you have done that feeling you get is my fuel.
