The property is situated in the heart of this pretty village, within a short walk of the cricket green, pub and shop. It is set back from the road and is approached past a pond, through a pair of wooden gates, where a gravel driveway leads to the house and a detached barn style garage. The house sits comfortably within the plot, with a large area of lawn to the front; as well as beautiful gardens and stunning views to the rear. The front door opens into an entrance hallway, with a staircase leading to the first floor, two doors leading to the principal reception rooms and in turn to the farmhouse kitchen. The sitting room runs from the front to the back of the property and has a large exposed brick fireplace. To the rear a pair of glazed double doors lead into a conservatory,

which has a brick base, a tiled floor and double doors leading out to the garden. The dining room is to the front of the house and benefits from an oak floor and an open fire with a Victorian style decorative surround. The farmhouse kitchen is to the rear of the house and overlooks the garden. It is fitted with an extensive range of light oak units, with space for a table and chairs at it’s centre. In keeping with the character of the house, there is a Rangemaster cooker with a decorative brick surround and oak bressummer and a butler’s sink sits beneath the window. There is space for an American fridge freezer, as well as dishwasher, washer and dryer. Off the kitchen is a vaulted entrance lobby and utility, which is ideal for kicking off dirty boots and hanging your coats. This also houses the boiler cupboard, a useful utilities cupboard and a very stylish and beautifully appointed wet room, with shower basin and toilet.

Wooden gates open to a gravel driveway which leads to a detached barn style garage with a workshop to the side and an office above, with light, power and a phone line. The vegetable garden, which is screened by trellis, has four raised beds, a large greenhouse and the compost heap. An arch leads to the rear garden, which is mainly lawned with planted borders and a variety of trees including apple and pear, weeping cherry, magnolia and a mulberry. A paved terrace adjoins the rear of the house, over which an arbour is clothed with wisteria and a grape vine. The side of the house is paved, with access to the vaulted entrance lobby and also to the front of the property through a wooden gate.
