Cuteasabud is a collection based on different types of flowers, for the first collection there will be three specific flowers.

The first flower will be a Daffodil which means rebirth and new beginnings. The second flower is a Tiger lily which is a flower of compassion and mercy. Lastly will be the ever so popular Tulip which hold many different meanings depending on colour. All three of these specific types of flowers contain common colours and I took four of those common colours and made a colour palette for Cuteasabud's first collection. To ensure that each flower has a variety they will each have their own unique colour.

Since on average 40% of deaths world wide are caused from water, oil, and soil pollution we want to make sure that we help to reduce that percentage Cuteasabud strives on being a green company to ensure this we are make sure to continually use ecofriendly products in our business and garments. Our business and warehouse is made from 100% recycled and post consumer materials to bring down our costs and also help the environment.

Within our company we make sure to use both sides of paper when printing, do more digital communicating rather than leaving a paper trail, energy efficient lights, reusable cups rather than plastic and more.

Each flower that is a part of this collection and for each flower there are specific textures and patterns that come from the flower to create endless beauty within the garments. Cuteasabud wants to guarantee that each garment is made with the tender love and care that a gardener gives to their garden.

Our garments are made from 100% organic cotton and recycled plastic for the buttons. We want to make sure that not only our company is helping our environment, but also our clothing as well.

Daffodil Inspiration

Wine Less, Breathe More Daffodil Collection The first part of the collection for Cuteasabud, which is based off the Daffodil flower. Each garment design is made by taking different attributes of the flower and incorporating it into the over all silhouette to give each piece a unique look. The main attributes that will be being used throughout this part of the collection will be the flower petals, the cup structure in the middle, and the ridged lines on the cup of the flowers’ center. The colours that are going to be used for this flower are going to be the five continuous colours of yellow, coral, offwhite, sky blue and orange, and then the unique colour for this flower being a sea foam green.

The following garments will be featured in this collection: The Daffodil Cup Skirt, The Daffodil Cup Tank, The Daffodil Romper, The Daffodil Petal Skirt and The Daffodil Petal Tank.

This flower was chosen as part of this collection because it has been my favourite flower since I was a little kid and has remained to be to this day.

Tiger Lily Inspiration

Talk Less, Say More Tiger Lily Collection The second part of the collection for Cuteasabud is based off the Tiger Lily. Just like the first part of the collection, each garment is going to be made from specific attributes of the flower and making a unique garment from that. The main attributes I will be taking from the Tiger Lily will be long shaped and colours petals and the inside of the flower known as the anther. The colours that are going to be used for this flower are going to be the five continuous colours of yellow, coral, off-white, sky blue and orange, and then the unique colour for this flower bring a lilac tone.

The following garments will be featured in this collection: The Tiger Lily Flower Dress, The Tiger Lily Petal Dress, The Tiger Lily Skirt, The Tiger Lily Tank, and The Tiger Lily Wrap.

This flower was chosen as part of this collection because it is my Mother’s Favourite flower and she is the root to everything I am and what I have become.

Tulip Inspiration

Hate Less, Love More Tulip Collection The third part of the collection for Cuteasabud, which is based off the Tulip flower. Each garment design is made by taking different attributes of the flower and incorporating it into the over all silhouette to give each piece a unique look. The main attributes that will be being used throughout this part of the collection will be the flower itself and its’ overall shape, and the shaped petals that make the flower. The colours that are going to be used for this flower are going to be the five continuous colours of yellow, coral, off-white, sky blue, and orange, and then the unique colour for this flower being a lilac purple.

The following garments will be featured in this collection: The Tulip Dress, The Tulip Shoulder Dress, The Tulip Pencil Skirt, The Tulip Skirt, and The Tulip Shirt.

This flower was chosen as part of this collection because it was my Grandmother’s favourite flower and she was always the stem to my flower that kept me standing tall through all he wind and rain in my life.

Events Daffodil Days

Pick Your Own Flower

Daffodil Days is a fund raiser organized by the American Cancer Society, based around the daffodil flower. Since we have a daffodil collection we thought this fund raiser would be a perfect idea to help raise money for a good cause and also give Cancer patients something special.

Although these 3 flowers in the collection represent flowers that are meaningful to me I know there are many other flowers that have a special meaning to other people. So I want to give my customers a chance to pick their favourite flower and the winner to receive a specially made garment that has attributes of their favourite flower.

The daffodil flower is a symbol of rebirth and new beginnings, which is what the American Cancer Society strives on giving to its’ patients. Daffodil days have been around since 1957, when it held it’s first organized donations in Canada, it soon progressed to the United States in 1970 and has made over $1 billion since then.

To help with Daffodil Days Cuteasabud will be donated a bouquet of flowers to one patient in need with each purchase that we make. We hope to raise around $150,000, which is equivalent to 10,000 bouquets of daffodils. We will also be excepting donations from our customers by having a donation box at our cash registers.

There will be 3 lucky winners of this contest. To enter the contest you must purchase a garment and when you go to the cash register the cashier will hand you a form to fill out. You will need to provide you name (First and Last), address, e-mail, phone number, and of course your favourite flower.

After the winners are selected and the garments are made the 3 winner will have a photo shoot together wearing their new garments.

Fashion Show Cuteasabud is a very interesting company to begin with and we wanted to really create an event that helps our consumers get to know the line and the whole idea behind it. The concept of the fashion show is an outdoor theme because the collection is suppose to give you the idea that you are the flower. The stage is going to look like a bridge and the models will be from the “water” and walk along the deck, take 3 steps down into the grass area and stand as if they are a flower in a field (All the flower groups will stand together). The main idea is to make the audience feel like they are in a meadow of flowers. We want to create this whole new world inside of the fashion show space.

Each model will walk out with a brown sheet over them and once they step onto the stage the will start to walk and after 3 steps the brown sheet will fall off to give a sense of the bud to the flower process of growing. They will walk the full stage and then take 3 steps down into the “grass garden” where they will stand.

The order will be Daffodil, Tiger Lily, and Tulip.

The whole fashion show will be made from recycled materials and post consumer goods. The “water” area of the fashion show will be metallic paper crinkled up to give a wave and sunshine effect on it. The back drop will be the same metallic paper and also have the word “cuteasabud” made from twigs dangling from it. The grass will be old fake grass material and the guest will be sitting on fixed up broken picnic benches and vintage benches. The stage will be crafted and built from driftwood. There will be a huge sun hanging from fishing wire made from paper and along with tons of clouds made from cotton and pillow stuffing.
