Corporate Opportunities
Championing traditional values, but modern in outlook, the Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia is very much open for business and has outstanding facilities available for hire that will appeal to the corporate community.
The Club regularly hosts conferences and corporate events, staff training days, trade displays, product launches and much more. Our facilities are available 7 days a week for these occasions.
Horizons function room is suitable for all types of events from theatre-style conference layouts to U-shaped layouts for focus groups and everything in between. It features a ceiling mounted data projector, speakers, drop down screen and internet access.
The Kinnaird Room is perfect for small focus groups, training and breakout sessions and features microphone, PA and lectern, TV/DVD, flipchart and filtered water and tea/coffee as complimentary inclusions. A data projector, moveable whiteboard, and photocopying and scanning services can also be made available. The facilities are magnificent, but arguably the most compelling reason to bring your corporate event to the CYCSA is our refreshingly flexible approach.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest knows no boundaries
In Australia, approximately 30,000 people sustain cardiac arrest outside of hospital and are treated by emergency medical services each year.
f An average of only 9% of its victims in Australia survive.
f It can happen anytime, anywhere, to anyone — even young athletes.
f Early defibrillation is the single most effective treatment for Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).
f Defibrillation within three minutes of collapse can increase the chance of survival to over 70%.
Heart Safe Communities
Creating safer places to work, live and play. Mindray aims to create more Heart Safe environments across Australia by placing defibrillators in educational establishments, workplaces, sports and leisure clubs, public and community environments — allowing you to simply, safely and effectively help save a life.

No matter where or when SCA strikes, early use of a defibrillator can help save lives.
Be Ready
Sadly, on average, only 9% of people who suffer SCA outside the hospital survive. But survival rates of over 70% have been achieved where an automated external defibrillator (AED) programme have been successfully implemented. AEDs are designed to help people with minimal training use them safely in tense, emergency situations. They have numerous built-in safeguards and are designed to deliver a shock only if the AED detects on is necessary.
Be Willing
Anyone with minimal training can use an AED to help save a life. Quick action by the first person on the scene can truly make a difference.
Caling 000 in the event of SCA is critical, as is performing CPR on the victim. But the chances of survival from SCA fall by 10% every minute and the single most effective treatment is early defibrillation — providing a shock to the heart within the first three to five minutes.
Be Able
Costing as little as a personal computer, an AED is easy to use and maintain. Having AEDs readily available in your leisure or sports club makes sense, and can be the difference between life and death for a victim of SCA. Remember, time to defibrillation, the most critical factor in SCA survival, can be reduced if an AED is close by and can be brought to the victim quickly. Every minute that passes before defibrillation reduces survival rates by 10%.
