AIESEC in Taylor’s University Know more about the local committee that is running this project AIESEC in Taylor’s University was established in 2004 as one Local Committee of AIESEC in Malaysia. AIESEC Taylor’s University has been creating positive impact in society for the past 10 years. Projects related to Environment, HIV/AIDS, human trafficking and others are milestones that we have achieved in creating a better tomorrow for our world.

Our Project Vision To create a young generation of leaders who are equipped with the soft skills necessary for the working world.
WHY B.E.S.T Project? To invest in current youths as the tomorrow’s visionary leaders of Malaysia for the betterment of the nation
To instil positive values in the students as youth leaders
To increase the employability of these students by expanding their capabilities and their world view of youth in Malaysia
HOW B.E.S.T Project Works? Organize and conduct 8-days period of 4
workshops spanning over a
weeks for two targeted high school students (2 workshops per week).
Exchange participants, who are known as the workshops’ international facilitators will be conducting interactive and engaging soft skills sessions, besides coming out with self-discovery activities like personal goal setting and personality test. As the project aims to promote cultural understanding among high school students too, exchange participants will be showcasing their home country culture through cultural sharing sessions.
WHAT B.E.S.T Project Do? •

Exchange participants will be educated about AIESEC Leadership Development Model (LDM). Once exchange participants are well equipped with this knowledge, they will design, conduct and facilitate the sessions based on the 4 elements in Leadership Development Model, which are World Citizen, Self-Aware, Empowering Others and Solution-Oriented The AIESEC Leadership Development Model:
Job Descriptions 1. Attend Incoming Preparation Seminar and Train the Trainers’ workshop conducted by AIESEC members and our learning partner respectively 2. Design posters to constantly update B.E.S.T in TU Facebook page, with the purpose of creating more awareness about B.E.S.T workshops
3. Plan and design soft skills sessions (leadership, communication, presentation, teamwork, personality test etc.) with other exchange participants for the workshops 4. Attend dry run sessions with project team members to ensure a smooth flow of workshops
5. Facilitate and conduct all soft skills sessions in the high schools’ workshops 6. Promote home country’s culture to high school students during workshops and to the public at exhibition booths 7. Participate in other AIESEC events such as AIESEC Gathering and Member

LC Activities
EP Challenge
Interns were given the opportunity to join in on various LC activities, such as Member Recruitment Drive, Sports Day, and various others which were held throughout the exchange period.
EPs were challenged to use Bahasa Melayu to communicate with students from Taylor’s University and solve simple questions that were given to them.
Outing with High School Students Around a week after the high school conference was conducted, the EPs had an outing with the high school students to follow up with them.
What Have We Achieved? Delivered 25 life-changing experiences.
Satisfaction rate of EP exchange experience is 75/100 on average. Impacted around 200 students from more than 5 schools (e.g SMK Bandar Sunday, Katholik High School, SMK SS17, SMK USJ 12 etc.)

Internship Details • Exchange Participants need to pay RM350 as TN Fee that includes Accommodation, EP Reception, EP Buddy Serving, Incoming preparation Seminar, EP Welcoming Goodies and City Tour. • Exchange Participants need to pay RM100 as refundable deposit.
• Accommodation is provided. • Internet access is NOT available in accommodation. Interns are advised to purchase data plan for internet access outside of campus. • Food is NOT provided. Average cost per meal is RM5 - RM10.
• Transportation is provided, but only for project activities and city tour organized by AIESEC members. • Public transport is easily accessible. • Arrival & departure support will be provided by AIESEC Taylor’s University. • Interns are advised to have travel insurance ready and available for use. • Working times are from 10am – 5pm on weekdays (May have events that’ll be happening on weekends that interns need to be involved) • Total working hours per week , 35 hours.
