A Spirit of Sharing

A PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE THAT UNITES CARL F. BUCHERER AND IGNIV

The flavors of life are so much better appreciated when shared with others. This is why Carl F. Bucherer and the IGNIV family, who run four prestigious restaurants, have a beautiful partnership, dedicated to excellence, passion, sharing, and open-mindedness. A philosophy of life that extends from Switzerland to the four corners of the world, so elegantly embodied by the Manero Flyback watch on the wrist of the IGNIV team.

"WE LOVE TO SHARE" IGNIV

“We love to share.” By choosing this slogan full of enthusiasm and generosity when it was created in 2015, IGNIV has made joie de vivre and a spirit of sharing the key elements of the starred haute cuisine it conjures up in its four restaurants. From the Grand Resort in Bad Ragaz to the St. Regis in Bangkok, from the Marktgasse Hotel in Zurich to the Badrutt’s Palace Hotel in St. Moritz, it invites connoisseurs of creative and refined gastronomy to enjoy an innovative culinary concept, as inspiring as it is irresistible, conceived by Swiss chef Andreas Caminada: the “Fine Dining Sharing Experience”. Far from conventional menus, this one is a variation of dishes, and can range up to thirty. It is a cavalcade of flavors, scents, and colors – a discovery of local products combined with an international touch. Indeed, IGNIV delicately pays homage to the culinary uniqueness of each of the cities in which it guests on a journey to far-off lands. IGNIV is skilled in the art of creating connections with places, cultures, and people, and we know that in cooking, as in dating, the secret of success lies in the bonding that brings and holds the ingredients together. This alchemy, so precious to IGNIV, extends to the warm, family atmosphere of its establishments, designed by the Spanish interior designer Patricia Urquiola, as well as to the name “igniv”, which means “nest” in Romansh. The group’s commitment is to welcome each guest into a cozy nest where life is good and where they get to enjoy a special moment.

TIME, AN OPEN MIND

Time is precious to Carl F. Bucherer and IGNIV, who lend it their passion, their excellence, their sense of precision, and their quest for innovation. Time is best spent making timepieces as beautiful as Carl F. Bucherer’s, and food as delicious as IGNIV’s. Time is sweet when you are with Carl F. Bucherer and IGNIV, where customer satisfaction is paramount. This sense of sharing is one of the bonds that contribute to the talent of the partnership between the watchmaking company and the restaurant group. The cosmopolitan spirit is another. This openness to the world is a value that is firmly rooted in their respective corporate cultures, as Sascha Moeri, CEO of Carl F. Bucherer, attests: “With IGNIV’s culinary concept, the way to relish time enters a new dimension. As a watch manufacturer with a cosmopolitan mindset, we are very proud that a bit of our watchmaking ‘Made of Lucerne’ art enhances the culinary experience of the team and their guests in the restaurant.”

Excellence is definitely close at hand in the IGNIV team. “Just as Carl F. Bucherer has impressed its customers around the world with its watchmaking art since more than 130 years, we want to offer an exceptional experience to our guests, whether in Switzerland or in Bangkok.” says Ines Triebenbacher, sommelier and manager of the IGNIV restaurant in Zurich.

THE COSMOPOLITAN SPIRIT EXPRESSED BY THE MANERO FLYBACK

Designed to explore new horizons and opportunities, the Manero Flyback is an automatic chronograph powered by the CFB 1970 caliber, with a diameter of 30.4 mm and a height of 7.9 mm. It features two chronograph counters, the date, hours, minutes, a small second, and the flyback function. This one allows to set a new stopwatch when the chronograph is already running. True to the vintage aesthetic and sportchic style of the collection, its design has been reworked. The dial is available in bright blue, silver, black, or blue gray. The hours and minutes are indicated by perforated lancet-shaped hands. The steel case, 43 mm in diameter and 14.45 mm high, has retro pushbuttons in the form of a brass fastener, and a tachymeter. Its sapphire crystal is considerably curved with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. The case back reveals the movement through a sapphire crystal. This beautiful, high-performance timepiece has a 42-hour power reserve and is water-resistant to 30 meters (3 bars).

The Manero Flyback and IGNIV are at home in Switzerland while flying to Thailand, where they feel right at home. The next destination will be a new source of pleasure and sharing – something their fans will not want to miss. This art of living is infectious like a laugh that resonates from one end of the world to the other and that we want to follow.
