Helen Conte

Senior Vice President/Group Manager – Business Banking, Comerica Bank providers and nonprofit and faith-based organizations. Conte joined Comerica Bank in 2006. She is skilled in commercial and small business lending including working capital, real estate, business acquisitions and several others. She also oversees credit and risk management for her respective portfolios. At Comerica, she completed the Leadership Development Program and served on the bank’s internal Diversity Initiative. She earned her degree in 1992 from Houston Baptist University’s College of Business and Economics. Her civic and community involvement with Comericasponsored initiatives includes organizations such as March of Dimes, United Way and Junior Achievement. Conte has also served on the board of directors for Houston Business Development Inc., a nonprofit corporation that provides micro loans to small business in the greater Houston area to stimulate economic growth and community revitalization. She served on their executive board and chaired their loan committees. Married with three young and active children, Conte spends many hours volunteering at her local little league and serves in various capacities with her children’s elementary school Parent Teacher Organization. Like many unsung heroes during Hurricane Harvey, Conte and her family took care of their neighbors and family during the storm all while assisting commercial and small business owners and other colleagues who were impacted by the storm. Her leadership at the bank was instrumental in Comerica Bank’s efforts to “raise the expectation of what a bank can be” at one of the most volatile moments in the city of Houston.
