As the lead practitioner and owner of Pearls of Change Wellness, LLC, Glenda has worked avidly to provide mental health support to those throughout the Lone Star State and the state of Georgia, by offering individual and group counseling, training, education, and resources to the public and private sectors. Glenda was nominated as one of Top 5 Preferred Mental Health Practitioners in Texas for 2020 by Cigna Health. In addition, she was chosen as the mental health clinician to represent Texas by the Boris L. Henson Foundation, founded by actress Taraji P. Henson, for their “Let’s Talk” free virtual therapy campaign.

A born Native Houstonian and graduate of Dwight D. Eisenhower High School, Glenda earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from the University of Houston-Downtown, a Master’s of Business Administration in Management from Letourneau University, a Master’s of Science in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University, and is currently in pursuit of her Doctorate in Health Psychology from North Central University. Glenda’s passion and inspiration for raising awareness over the importance of mental health support came from her own personal experiences as a child and her desire to make sure that others 58
