ixteen years ago, when Atlanta was hosting the Summer Olympics, God spoke to me in such a clear, precise and clairvoyant voice. He said, “Not everyone has normal children, but I promise you all will touch the world.” On November 21, 1996, she entered the world, an 8lb 6oz, beauty, Essence Mone’. 10 toes, 10 fingers, a head full of beautiful hair and a very boisterous cry…she was perfect. At two months old, however, I started to notice she was not meeting age appropriate mild stones. I had a three year old daughter already and knew Essence should be much further along in her development. Around 5 months, I was convinced she was deaf, but that was not the vehicle God would use for us to touch the world.
