Kisha and Lorenzo Armstead are the founders of The Popcorn Bar. The husband and wife duo began thinking about opening a popcorn store after visiting many popcorn shops while on vacations. They noticed that many of these shops usually had a line of customers. After some research they discovered there was definitely an opportunity for this type of business here in the Houston area.

After doing the research, the couple decided to just go for it! The Popcorn Bar opened its doors on April 26, 2012. The Popcorn Bar offers gourmet popcorn in a variety of flavors. Gone are the days of just plain ole butter popcorn. Yea, they have that too; but you will also find all sorts of popcorn flavors---Banana Pudding, Buffalo Wings, Pickled Cowboy... don’t let the names fool you. The above mentioned names are the store’s top sellers. It seems the most unlikely, unthinkable flavors are either the top sellers or customer’s favorites. The flavor of the popcorn really tastes like the name implies ...Fried Pickle? Once you taste it, you will definitely exclaim, “I get that.” You name it, they’ve got it. If they don’t have it, they will figure out how to get it. There is something for everyone. The Popcorn Bar also sells gift baskets, sports tins and pails, candies, nuts, and trail mixes. The business has gotten off to a great start. This is largely due to the company’s mission which is to have a superior product and provide great customer service. Popcorn is a great American snack food, the perfect addition to any event. The Popcorn Bar would love to add this popular treat as a compliment to your event. Weddings, quincineras, parties, reunions, staff meetings, movie night, etc. — Whatever your event, they can POP for you!
