Messages from the Division Leadership Team Lieutenant Governor Nini Buu Hello 6 North Penguins! Can you believe that another year has come and our division is now a year old? It's crazy to think that I am actually your current LTG and I am honored that I have the opportunity to serve this amazing division. With new ideas and new goals, this term te will be another amazing one as we con-足 tinue to strengthen our bonds and unify our division even more. This year I am excited to be able to not only help our members grow and serve as Key Clubbers who care, because it is our way of life, but also bring in new penguins to continue sharing this passion of service! Throughout the year, we must strive to uphold the core values of Key Club and to serve to our best ability because that is what Key Club is. We are a ser-足 vice organization and with every project, every fundraiser and every event we will be giving back to this amazing community that we are all apart of and we

will all con-足 tinue to grow. We will grow as individuals, as leaders and as one big pen-足 pen guin family. Together, we will reach new heights and serve as we reach these heights!

Fall Rally/Spirit Coordinator

Ashley Chen

Greetings my Division 6 North penguin ohana! At this moment, no words can describe how honored and proud I am to serve you as your Spirit/Fall Rally coordinator. Over the past two years, my passion for key club has grown tremendously. I learned that Key Club is an organization that has changed my life and helped me develop as an individual; I am extremely glad that I have decided to join my freshmen year. During my 2012-2013 Key Club term, I was ERHS’s club historian, giving back to my club by capturing memories made throughout the year. And now, I can finally contribute back to my entire division by bringing you, proud proud waddlers, my spirit, passion, and devotion towards this division. One of my goals for this term is to help guide each and every one of you individual key club members to know the cheers by heart, and maybe slap some war paint on all of you lovelies. I am really hoping that I can motivate (or maybe even inspire) all you wonderful single- tons to become as passionate, spirited, devoted, and loving towards this non-profit or- ganization as I am. So division 6 north, tell me how you feel, and let’s win that spirit stick at Fall Rally South in November! Waddling with Spirit, Ashley Chen

DCON 2013

S P A C E R

“During DCON 2013, I felt as if it were a family reunion seeing all of my ohana together again. I have learned many new skills and ideas I plan to share with my home club and division to make us stronger. My favorite part of DCON this year was Scott Greenburg. He is such an inspiration and managed to make me cry 4 times within 2 days. He's given me a different perspective on life. His workshop was my favorite workshop from DCON, I liked it so much I wanted to attend it twice! Along with the amazing workshops, there were general sessions full of spirit battles and inspiring speeches. We also got to elect the 2013-2014 executive board. Their drive was an inspiration to many. I also got to meet a lot of people, and thanks to Key Club I have made some of the best of friends. Last year at my first DCON, I discovered my love for service, my inner spirit, my best friends, my passion, and my drive to help out the community. DCON 2013 was a magical event that I will never forget and I encourage everyone to go if given the chance.” -Karen Nguyen, ERHS “DCON was truly bittersweet. Even though I got to meet thou- sands of amazing key clubber, I was heartbroken because this would most likely be my last DCON. However, I had an incredi- ble time meeting thousands of key clubbers. Everyone was so friendly and I was able to be myself throughout the whole time. That whole weekend was just filled with key club spirit, friendly vibes, tons of cheers and tears. I will never forget my DCON experience and all of the strangers that are now my friends.” -Charie Orillosa, ERHS
