P LAR BEAR

EDITOR’S NOTE Hey KEY-uties! Welcome back to school! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer and did a lot of volunteering opportunities! If you didn’t then this new school year is a chance start being active in our community and help your Key Club to be one of the outstanding clubs in our division or district. Why not right? Always aim BIG! I wish everyone have a wonderful year and use your purpose to serve wisely and always ready to serve our community. I never really talk about myself much but what keeps me going always lively and positive are the smiles I see when I helped someone no matter, how small or big deed I have done. I love getting those feelings in my heart and I hope that you do to when you serve! Thank you for always reading our newsletter! Always stay updated and I hope to receive more articles and visuals by sending them through my email d06s.keyclub.dne@gmail.com.

Serving with a roar,

SCHOOL As Heritage is getting ready to spring back into the school year, Heritage Key Club had a final summer service opportunity for the members. Mrs. Clough needed help setting up the classroom for the 2016-2017 school year so she invited Key Club members to come help. The room is now all decorated and ready for teaching. As the Key Club advisor, the members also set up a “Key Club Wall with awards and resources, including timecards, medical release forms, and the latest newsletter. Although there were not too many service opportunities, this year we hope to recruit a lot of new members and keep an ongoing spirit. Club rush occurs in the last days of August, so we have a lot to plan for September. 3C EE9 6F 3

WHAT’S UP

This month, Chaparral Key Club of D06S’s main goal is to prepare for the start of the 2016-2017 school year. The officers of this term have been working diligently on planning events, collaborations, and fundraisers for the new members and returning members in the fall. We have been participating in our group chat about our ideas as well as having a physical meeting to discuss Key Club business. We have prepared fun nights, special collaborations, fundraising treats, and a lot more as we are so excited for this new school year. We would all be confident to say we are ready for the school year along with new members and serving the Division 06 South’s Key Club. 3C EE9 6F

Linfield Key Club has had a sleepy August, but that has not stopped our members from reaching out to the community. Regardless of summer break, many Linfield key clubbers have been keeping community service in mind; many of our members have participated in mission trips, house builds, and other service projects. We hope to take this time apart and put it to good use. Linfield Key Club hopes that some of these summer service projects will serve as a means to base other key club related service projects off of. When school starts up again, it is hoped that the Linfield Key Club will mesh together their unique August experiences in order to foster an exciting, innovative and diverse year of Key Club filled with outstanding community service.
