From The ltg!
Hey ghosts! It is finally the holiday season, which means more opportunities for service and giving! I would like to thank every member who attended our DCM on December 13th. I appreciate each and every one of you for waking up early for a morning Division Council Meeting! As that was the last DCM of 2020, that means it is time to announce our SpooKEY points winner. Drumroll please….. The winner of our contest was…… Inderkum Key Club! Congratulations to members from Inderkum; your hardwork and passion for service is extraordinary! As we step into the new year, we will also be leading into elections processes. If you are interested in running for Lieutenant Governor for the 2021-2022 term, please email me at d07w.cnhkc.ltg@gmail.com ASAP! Any member can run for LTG, and the only requirement is you must be a dues paid member. If you are interested in running for club officer positions, please contact your respective club officers for more details about your club’s policies. Thank you for reading, and I hope to see you all soon!

RIVER CITY On November 14th, our club held a recyclables drive. Our members could drive up to drop off their recyclables and earn service hours. A board member then took the recyclables to a recycling collection center. We were glad that we were able to hold an event that would help the environment! On Saturday, November 21st, our members were able to attend the November DCM. During this meeting, each club discussed events that they held and participated in that month, plans, or updates. Attendees were also able to learn about division updates and the service project for November, Cranes for Cancer. The DCM was a good way for our members to reconnect with other clubs.

Our club was happy to be able to participate in this event and help to create hope for cancer patients. On Friday, November 6th, we had our club meeting for the month. We discussed membership dues and senior awards with our members. Our members were also able to learn more about DCON and division t-shirts. During the meeting, we also introduced the events that would take place during November, which included a Veterans Day Card Making, a Recyclables Drive, the November DCM, and the Cranes for Cancer service project.
D AVIS Ghosts collaborated with the Do Something Davis club to support hospital staff and patients. We brought decorations to Sutter Hospital.
On November 14th, Key Clubbers joined DHS Red Cross club to write cards for hardworking Red Cross volunteers, hospital workers, and firefighters. Key Clubbers also dropped off new/gently used coats and jackets, new socks, long underwear, gloves, and hats to those in need for the Winter Shelter Clothing Drive. 08

On November 28th, D7W met over Zoom to fold paper cranes together while watching Ponyo! These cranes were to be shipped to cancer patients. It was a chill and relaxing event, and members were able to complete their service hours through a fun and safe way. Thank you to all those who attended and stay on the lookout for more events this month!
Service project idea! Here is a service project idea your club can host, created by our lovely service project task coordiantors!

Have members create some form of artwork, write a letter, or both to cheer up foster kids during the holiday season. This can be done over a zoom meeting. After members have completed this step have them scan their work on their phones.Service hours will come from how long it took members to create their letters/art, either on an honor system or zoom where everyone can be sure the truth is being told. Letters to Foster Children also accepts artwork that has been created online through platforms, such as Google Docs and Canva. After members have scanned their work they will email it to letterstofosterchildren@gmail.com.
