STOMP ELLIES!
Before I start my letter, I am so so SO proud of each and every one of you all for helping WIN THAT SPIRIT STICK BACK! It has been THREE YEARS since we’ve won and I still can’t believe we brought it back home. There are no words to describe the feeling I felt while on stage. Hearing the energy and passion in that theater was surreal. With the spirit you guys have, I’m sure we’ll be winning that stick next year too ;).
It’s almost time for Christmas! By the time this newsletter comes out, TODAY (December 1st) will be the LAST DAY to sign up for CTC, as well as our annual Rose Float Decorating! This is one of our BIGGEST service events of the year. Let’s keep up the great work and keep serving with all that passion. I’m sure we will be able to surpass our goal by the end of this term! As we enter the last month of quarter 3, keep working hard, we’ve only got FOUR months left before our term ends at DCON 2023. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us! Stomping through Service, Chloe Hartanto
FALL RALLY 2022
RALLY SOUTH 2022
Fall Rally Fall Rally
With our bright and early call time everyone was boarded and ready to head out by 7 am; after reviewing the chants on the bus we had finally arrived and were ready to showcase our spirit! Members explored, got on rides and participated in spirit battles with other divisions until 3 pm when our spirit session began! After an incredible battle during Fall Rally South, session 4, Division 35 East took the spirit stick home! The entire auditorium was shaking from the Ellie spirit we brought to FRS and your DLT couldn’t be prouder! After all the hard work at our pre-fall rallies we stomped our way through all three rounds and “made other divisions notice” everytime. The entire division was so exhilarated with our victory that after a few chaotic attempts of taking division photos, the Ellies took off and had a great day at Six Flags. I am so proud of our division and so thankful for all of these amazing memories we’ve made together!

Zoomtober Night
On October 30th, IPoly Key Club attended D35E’s Zoomtober/Night Market DCM! It was located at Big League Dreams in West Covina, where the Region 13 Night Market was held a few weeks prior. In compliance with the dress code, our members came dressed in proper zoom meeting attire: dressy tops, with casual and comfortable bottoms. The event began with something appropriate to the formal theme, the Division Council Meeting, where clubs shared their old and new business. After the meeting concluded, it was time for the Night Market to begin!

The promising menu consisted of fair foods like esquites and fried oreos, and even fancy drinks like Shirley Temples: a simple concoction of sprite, cherry-flavored syrup, and maraschino cherries, which our own officer board mixed and sold! Some of us even went around advertising our refreshing product with a megaphone. The event concluded on a high note with a productive spirit session in preparation for Fall Rally South on November 12! General member

Rowland Heights Buckboard Parade
During the month of October, Nogales Key Club was able to volunteer at the annual Rowland Heights Buckboard Parade. It was really special to be able to participate this year because it was not only their 50th anniversary but also the first parade they’ve held since COVID! Volunteering involved helping set up the festival in the park (booths and stage decorations), running the Kiwanis booth during festival hours, and cleaning up afterwards. Although it was a gloomy day with light rain, we enjoyed ourselves working alongside Rowland Key Club while encouraging people to guess the weight of the pumpkin and sharing information about Key Club International at the Kiwanis booth.
Our members also had a chance to explore and interact with the other booths, vendors, games, petting zoo, and the park playground in their free time. One of our senior members, Isaak Thongdy, shares, “My favorite part was the interactions I had with all of the different vendors and volunteers. The most exciting part for me was being able to help create an atmosphere that brought joy to people.” At the festival, our members were actively supporting the Nogales regiment, TNDC, and the football and cheer teams that participated in the parade. Overall, it was another great opportunity to be involved in our community, and we can’t wait to see what next year’s Buckboard Parade has in store for us.

On October 21, we hosted an Evergreen Elementary Family Fun Night. This was the first event to start the new term. With so many new faces during the general meeting, we expected lots of students to join this event. And as it turned out, the number of sign-ups exceeded our expectations. Our members not only volunteered with helping out at concession stands, but they also got to have some fun. As soon as the night started, many children flooded into the school and ran around as they were excited to play the games. Music was blasted and our enthusiastic volunteers helped around. This event was an exciting one to kick off this year. General member Valerie said, “It was my first time volunteering at such a big event for KeyClub. It was a fun and exciting experience, and I can’t wait to participate in more in the upcoming weeks!” Just like Valerie, there were many first-timers that have gained this new experience also. And as the night slowly quieted down, volunteers went home satisfied with the work that they put in.

In the past month, Walnut Key Club members volunteered at the INSAN Community Health Fair in Pomona. The event lasted from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM and members could choose from 2 different shifts. There were a variety of different activities that members were tasked with at the event. These included helping with set-up, registration, handing out food, clean-up, etc. Walnut Key Club member Joe Li recalls that

Envirosci X Key Club Gardening
By: NicoleRowlandRinaldi,In early November, Rowland Key Club worked with our school’s Envirosci club to work on our school’s garden. It has been left untouched for the most part since the pandemic, but this new project will revitalize the garden and students can grow plants to benefit the environment. “It was a good teamwork activity,” remarked Jordan Chang, one of our Key Club members. Members were able to build planters for future plants and possibly decorate the garden in the future!

Let’s Meet our Officer of the month!
What’s your position? I’m the current secretary of the Covina Key club!
What has been your favorite event so far? Fall rally south is definitely one of my favorite events this year so far. It was so much fun asking other divisions “how do you feel” and hanging out with my friends for the day!
How do you feel this year has gone for your home club? this year has gone by so fast for our club omg! i’m so proud of covina key club and our accomplishments! We definitely made fun memories and only hope to make more!
Ho, EditorWhat new things do you want to implement for your members for the upcoming year?
I want to be able to have prizes for our members of the month to encourage others to work hard so they too can eventually be members of the month!
Favorite Keyclub memory?
it’s so difficult picking only one key club memory.. but it’d probably be rose floats or fall rally south! Rose floats were a super fun experience to have! I met other key clubbers and helped decorate the rose floats! Fall rally was also a favorite since you can only do it during key club! If you haven’t gone to a fall rally at least once, I’d definitely recommend going!!
