CLUB RECAP

Westlake High School

Key Club Member Social: Bracelet Making for PTP Westlake High School Key Club created an event where we sold pizza to raise money for the Pediatric Trauma Program. We met with new and returning members to make bracelets to sell for PTP and talk about plans for the upcoming year. Our treasurer, Gillian Li said that “Making bracelets to help fund raise for PTP was a great way to have fun and bond with the new Key Club members. It was also a great way to relax before school started!

CLUB RECAP

Westlake High School

For this month’s DCM some of our members went hiking at the beautiful Paradise Falls Trails. Julia Zhong claims “It was a really fun experience. I made a bunch of new friends from other schools in our division while also getting a bit of exercise on the hike!!”

CLUB RECAP

Oak Park High School

The August DCM this month was super exhausting, but absolutely worth it. It was a great way to get to know new people, reconnect with good friends, and get some exercise too. Falls was absolutely beautiful and only a slight mess with both of D42E and D42W trying to cross the baby river to climb the other side. We also saw some animals on the way, which was definitely a highlight of my day. There were loads of cute ducks in the water and Bob pointed out a snake in the brush for us to try and get a look at. Overall, it was an amazing DCM and I’m so glad that I went. - Amanda Lurey, OPKC co-president

CLUB RECAP

Agoura High School

This month, members of Agoura's Key Club attended the DCM at Paradise Falls. We enjoyed the scenic hike and meeting new people. Agoura's officers also held an officer meeting at Starbucks where we discussed potential fundraisers, activities for meetings, and planned for club rush which we will have next month. We look forward to club rush so that we can recruit new members and begin our activities.

CLUB RECAP

Simi Valley High School

For the month of August we had our school’s club rush from the 28-29. We gave otter-pops and cookies on the 28th to people who signed up and otter pops and warhead candies on the 29th. We were able to recruit many underclassmen which is really exciting! We also plan to have our first meeting on Tuesday, September 11.

CLUB RECAP

Royal High School

Key Club Mini Club Rush on August 15th was a blast! There were many new faces signing up to Key Club as well as many returners coming by to say hello! Even though it was on a very short notice it was very successful mini club rush, possibly because we handed out candy. We hope that our main Club Rush coming up will be even more successful than this one!

CLUB RECAP

Royal High School Royal’s first Key Club of the 2018-2019 session was a hit! We saw many returning members to key club as well as a lot of new faces who were all interested in what Key Club was. We had a good turnout even though it was on short notice. We hope that the rest of the year goes as smoothly as the first meeting did!

Royal’s Key Club held a Krispy Kreme fundraiser at the first football game of the year where we made a tremendous profit. We sold out of Krispy Kreme doughnuts before the football game started! All of our profits will go to fund PTP! So if you wanna donate and get a doughnut come out to Royal’s Football games!
