Profile Denichiro “Denny” Otsuga joined CSU Ventures in 2012 bringing over 10 years of technology commercialization experience to assist translating research results from CSU to create positive impact on society. Denny received his scientific training in plant molecular genetics earning a Ph.D. from University of Utah before working in their Technology Transfer Office. He gained his industry experience from a biofuel feedstock development biotechnology company in Los Angeles area, where he was responsible for developing relationships with universities through research sponsorship and technology licensing. In addition, Denny was the founding Director of the technology transfer office at South Dakota State University then served as the Executive Director of intellectual property commercialization unit at the University of Kentucky. Denny will be providing his service to further enhance CSU’s land grant institution’s mission. 1
