... as Chief Interface Officer at interactive consultancy firm IconMedialab, directing teams of up to 37 multi-disciplinary professionals across three cities (Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona). Dealing with internal needs, project requirements, resource management and client acquisition.

... as Vice President, Creative Director or UX Manager for large multinationals (Salesforce, Groupon, Microsoft, Nike, and what is today Etrade). Building and coaching their teams as well as architecting their digital strategy from scratch (e-commerce, mobile, web, services, social).

I thrive in the discipline of experience-making and take delight in adopting the end-to-end viewpoint when meeting complex UI-driven initiatives, especially if they are supported by the larger concept of brand perception and have technology constraints from where to stir-out a solution. Defining overarching themes and cross-functional benefits among interlinked services are my specialty. My schooling in both Industrial Design and Fine Arts (two Bachelor degrees from RISD) plus former studies in Architecture, make me quite comfortable on the convergence of front-end technologies (hardware or software). I am able to see the potential on apparently disconnected solutions (new or legacy) and apply their fusion of benefits to any given problem. My approach is very hands-on, maintaining myself sharp on the trends, techniques, tools and technologies of the trade, and using such knowledge to anticipate changes and future ramifications in the industry.
