“Tk one to 1.5 lakh is needed to get married in Bangladesh. But where can I get so much money? I have no father, no mother. Th known in Malaysia. I thought I’d go there and marry one of them. I was going to Malaysia to get married, not work,” — that’s what Rohingya woman who survived the trawler capsize, said. Ichmat Ara was on her way to Malaysia illegally by a trawler from Teknaf’s Rohingya camp. But on reaching the Chera Dip in St. Martin capsized. Though 15 people died in the incident, she survived. The Navy and Coast Guard members rescued 65 people alive and brought them Jetty. That’s where the reporter spoke to her.
