SPANISH FORK/SALEM CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL AWARD Jesse Cardon There are few people who are as passionate about businesses in Spanish Fork, the city and the chamber as Jesse Cardon. He has served for the last two years as a member of the executive board of the chamber. Additionally, he runs a very busy business that has brought numerous jobs to the city, chairs the city planning commission, and, in his spare time, ran for city council. Jesse is constantly giving back to the community he calls home. Jesse said of living and working in Spanish Fork, “Before we even moved here, we were committed to not just living in Spanish Fork, but being a part of keeping it a great place to live, work, play and raise a family.”

LEGACY BUSINESS AWARD (over 15 years) Macey's In 1947, Walt Macey and Dale A. Jones started the "Save-A-Nickel-Market" in Rose Park, Utah. From these humble beginnings, Macey's grew from a small store into a multi-store chain through providing personalized service and genuine old-fashioned friendliness. After being purchased by Associated Food Stores in 1999, Macey's continued to be a destination for thousands of Utah families looking for a great deal on groceries. Macey's team members are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet and are constantly striving to make sure the guests are finding what they need. Team members are always looking for ways to make the shopping experience fun with things like samples, Kid's Candy Carnival and tailgating events, just to name a few. One event people wait for all year long is the Gigantic Case Lot Sale that makes Macey's the place to buy the case! All these factors and more are what help Macey's provide a happy shopping experience for guests both young and old. Macey's is truly a pillar of our community.

BUSINESS OF THE YEAR Dickerson Automotive Todd Dickerson, owner of Dickerson Automotive, has been an active member of the chamber for 15 years. He has served as a member of the chamber’s board of directors, including serving as board chair in 2017. His office manager Brylee Pace has become a fixture in the chamber as well, volunteering time and supporting events. Dickerson Automotive supports many youth and civic groups as well as events in the Spanish Fork and surrounding areas. The Dickerson Automotive Wheels With Heart program has placed several reconditioned vehicles with individuals who have struggled to find reliable transportation due to economic hardships. With help from businesses and community members, Dickerson Automotive is able to give a hand up and back to the community that has supported them for over 20 years.
