ROD TECHNOLOGY

[ DAIWA TECHNOLOGY ]

True one-piece feel. Lightweight and strong.

Daiwa’s V-Joint is the ultimate rod joint technology. Bias construction within the ferrule allows it to flex with the rod, eliminating the weak, unbending spot caused by ordinary ferrules. The result of this revolutionary technology is a multi-piece blank that matches the performance of one-piece blanks in flex, power and responsiveness.

V-JOINT

BIAS CONSTRUCTION • NO FLAT SPOTS

After 20 years of developing carbon based materials, Daiwa has developed the revolutionary V-Joint Alpha. Lighter and stronger than its predecessor, V-Joint Alpha features Bias construction with nanoplus technology creating lighter joins that offer a true one piece feel to multi-piece rods.

ROD TECHNOLOGY

X45 Construction

X45 solves the problem of rod twist and power loss.

Daiwa has developed bilateral 45° carbon fibre that is combined with 0° and 90° carbon, creating a rod construction that is highly resistant to deforming. This is X45.

X45 / X45X FULL SHIELD

Compression Bending Torque Resistance 45° Bias Fibre

X45X Full Shield Technology takes everything to the next level, and is 25% more efficient than standard X45 technology.

Daiwa’s traditional X45 technology is only able to be used in the internal layers of the blank. With the introduction of X45X Full Shield Daiwa has been able to introduce the overlapping X45X carbon to the outside layer of the blank which produces an astounding leap forward in blank performance and strength.

With increased torsional stiffness, blanks armed with X45X resist blank twist during casting and jigging. This characteristic prevents the blank from losing stored energy during the cast, ensuring that every bit of force you put into your cast, is transferred through the blank and ultimately to your chosen lure.

If you have not tried a rod with X45X Full Shield pick one up and give it a try. The elevated casting performance and feel will push your fishing to the next level.

AGS

Weighing a mere fraction of the weight of traditional guides (40% lighter than an equivalent sized titanium guide) AGS guides feature a solid carbon fibre frame construction that minimises weight, improves casting distance and performance, and delivers faster rod speed, reduced rod vibration and angler fatigue, and greater rod sensitivity. CARBON RESIN Daiwa has created exclusive graphite construction processes combining precise resin control with unidirectional graphite fibre to produce rod blanks with a range of graphite densities. The wide range of densities help produce an array of quality rods throughout the range with a vast selection of actions and tapers for anglers to choose from.

NORMAL CARBON

Normal carbon sheet has higher density of resin to link each carbon cell.

HVF CARBON

Reduced resin and increased carbon density to increase the strength and reduce weight.

SVF CARBON

Further reduced resin from HVF to increase the carbon density creating a thinner rod with more strength and further reduced weight. SVF COMPILE-X CARBON

Further reduced resin from SVF to achieve a higher carbon density creating a thinner rod with more strength and further reduced weight. SUPER SVF CARBON

Further reduced resin from SVF COMPILE-X to increase the carbon density to further increase the performance of the rod.

Z SVF CARBON

Further reduced resin from Super SVF. By arranging the placement of carbon material Daiwa creates a feather light rod that is sensitive yet maintains strength.

SPECIAL Z SVF CARBON

Created by the Daiwa’s unique technology, SPECIAL Z SVF achieves the lightest weight with extreme sensitivity and strength.

AIR SENSOR SEAT

AIR SENSOR is Daiwa’s ever growing range of carbon resin reel seats that are minimal in weight, yet high in strength and sensitivity. With a large range of styles being developed for specific techniques, increased function and comfort. AIR SENSOR is our ultimate high end, high performance reel seat.

NANOPLUS

Through the use of nano resin control technology in the blank construction process, Nanoplus allows for increased graphite density to be achieved within a graphite rod blank. The result is a lighter, more responsive and refined blank.

V-JOINT / V-JOINT ALPHA

Bias construction within the ferrule allows it to flex with the rod, eliminating the weak, unbending spot caused by ordinary ferrules. The result of this revolutionary technology is a multi-piece blank that matches the performance of onepiece blanks in flex, power and responsiveness.

Lighter and stronger than its predecessor, V-Joint Alpha features Bias construction with nanoplus technology creating lighter joins that offer a true one piece feel to multipiece rods.

3DX

3DX supports the lower power section of the rod by knitting carbon fibers in 3 directions to achieve a six wrap rectangular weave. Power to the lower section of the rod, increases power, eliminates blank twist and collapse, all the while reducing angler fatigue.

BRAIDING-X

Daiwa’s exclusive carbon technology, Braiding X is a low resin, high strength, reduced weight, high density, carbon weave that creates a blank that has maximum density, yet is super light, sensitive, and highly responsiveness. A super highdensity foam that is as sensitive as cork, but without its short comings such as wearing and discoloration. Strong, sensitive, hard-wearing and attractive.

AIRFOAM AUSTRALIAN DESIGNED

All Daiwa Australia rods are designed specifically for the hard fighting species and harsh conditions we are presented with here in Australia. With an array of technique specific tapers there is a rod to suit every situation.
