Social Media Bootcamp serves as an opportunity for the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs to explore and share with the masses the social, cultural and economic impact of new media platforms on delivering best practices of Service Sacrifice & Support (S3)for our veterans, wounded warriors and active duty service members. As technology continues to evolve, it has become abundantly clear that social media is the new springboard for networking, collaborating and sharing information on a global scale. Social Media Bootcamp includes panel discussions, workshops, keynote speakers, and job fair, each focusing on various aspects of social media, from enterprise, education and culture, to outreach and engagement of web technology. Social Media Bootcamp—showcases ways to convert government entities into borderless brands that communicate with the fringe about S3, via social media.

Social Media Bootcamp explores best practices and innovative ways to study the social, cultural and patriotic impact of social media on the 1 percenters who live S3 everyday while simultaneously connecting the fringe 99 percenters to S3 through collaboration, learning and the sharing of ideas.
