Pot Recycling

Daltons are facilitating a closed loop network for recovery of post-consumer, GCP injection moulded pots and trays. Our aim is to keep recyclables out of landfill by taking your used pots and having them shredded into plastic pellets. These pellets will then go back to our supplier, GCP, to make new pots.

Woven Bags

Daltons Laminated Woven Bags are specialised growbags for professional growing and transport of larger plants and trees. Our planter bags are manufactured using polypropylene laminated woven fabric made out of 100% virgin polymers.

Our woven bags are fully UV stabilised and this includes the stitching yarn and lifting handles. They can last for years in the harshest of climates. Drainage holes are provided in the lower sides and bottom of the bags. Our bags are made with a stiff material so that they are easy to fill and once open they can stand self-supporting.

Who are Desch Plantpak?

Desch Plantpak is a European based company that produces thermoform pots and containers, transport trays, marketing trays, seed trays, propagation trays and bedding plant sets for professional horticulturalists. By working together with growers Desch Plantpak formulates inventive, customer-orientated solutions that can simplify business processes or improve automation processes. All activities and innovations are targeted at improving the growers’ production results and optimising returns. They do that anywhere in the world because Desch Plantpak is there for the global horticultural sector.

With six production sites in four different countries on two continents, and dealerships and customers in around fifty countries, Desch Plantpak is a global player. Product improvement plays a continuous and important role in this. As well as this, all products are manufactured in an environmentally responsible way.

D-TECT® made of NIR detectable recycled plastic.

D-TECT® is NIR detectable so that the pots can be separated in the recycling companies. Moreover, D-TECT® is made from up to 100% recycling material.

What does this mean? Desch has immediately switched over to make all thermoform pots and containers in the terracotta color with a NIR-detectable terracotta inside instead of a black inside. Of course we will not have all products in stock from day one but there will be a transition from terracotta / black to terracotta / terracotta in the coming half year. This means that during this transition period there is a possibility that we do not yet have all products available in terra / terra but still in terracotta / black. D-TECT® can also be produced in grey / grey on request. In addition, all our coloured pots that are newly produced will also be provided with a detectable light interior so that they also meet the requirements for D-TECT® With D-TECT® products you are assured of NIR-readable pots and containers.

Square tubes give the opportunity for flat filling at the propagation bench and provides space saving along with water saving. Square tubes naturally guide the roots ensuring no spiralling of roots therefore giving the quickest initiation into the next size they are potted on to.

Regen 2000® Shield is able to eradicate liverwort while leaving the cultivated plant unharmed. Effective in seed trays and tubes where manual removal is not possible or practical. It is easy to apply and does not rely on sunlight, changes to watering schedules or heat to work.
