recording David Guetta’s and Nicki Minaj’s performance of American Music Awards in 2011.

Write down the sequence of moving image and sound. Describe it in about 50 words. Take into consideration the

following things: 

How many cameras are used and why?

How do camera movements combine with sound and special effects?

What is the role of the sudden close-ups?

The costumes, the lights, the setting etc.

In conclusion, editing is very important!

EDITING A DOCUMENTARY Read the following email from Donna, an editor: Hi Ann! My flight has been delayed. Sorry! Can you start on the clipping? You’ve got the shot list. Start with the tracking shots and then move on the interviews. It would be nice to intercut them with some sequences we took on the border.

Regarding the atmosphere, we will use some sound effects but also drones. I’ve already got the royalty-free compilation CD, so we don’t have to pay for the music.

Please tell, Gina, the other reporter to come to the editing studio. Get her to lay down her voice and then she can go. I know she is expected to do some recordings. Neil has prepared a script for a her and an EDL. I’ll be with you tomorrow evening Thanks,

Donna
