Dear EB 2015 Candidate, Awesome times ahead, huh? I just remember that very moment when I decided to run both for LCP and LCVP. I had so many meaningful conversations and powerful discussions that encouraged me to give my best for my entity. This decision, regardless of your personal motivations, should be a decision made with your heart and a strong clarity of mind for the best of your entity because at the end, we’re all contributing to something bigger than ourselves where the priority is the sustainability and success of this time tested leadership development model, the continuity of an impossible organization that brings out the best of the global youth for a positive impact on society. I just want to be clear on some points before you decide to apply: 1. Preparation Comes First: Read as much as possible. Meet your role models and discuss with your mentor about the clear steps on becoming the best version of yourself for the term. Remember you’re not preparing for a process, you’re preparing for getting elected and start your term with all the necessary tools and skills. Note: Get prepared. Even if applying is ONLY a possibility and not a decision made. By time you decide upon your plans you will have all this resources clear. 2. Clear Growth Paths: Your entity is not in that current state due (only) to your current EB. Your entity is strong and mighty or weak and risky due to the previous three or four EBs. Be sure to understand every single milestone achieved or failed in your recent history. That brings you to your current reality. 3. Do it for the impact: We develop leadership for a positive impact on society and that´s our wakeup call every morning. Be clear on working for this for an entire year. If you don´t simply feel it… please, please, please step back! 4. It´s a persistence race: It’s not the faster nor the most intelligent the one who finishes an EB experience. It´s the most resilient. It´s the most capable of standing up when things go out of control and embraces the changes in the proper way. 5. Put your will, dreams, heart and your most ambitious desires on this application: Do this application as no other. Do this application as if it was your last. Do this application with humility and ambition. Your EB year is your debut in AIESEC. Get ready for a truly life changing experience dear candidate, speak with intention, read, study, and give your best! Onwards,
MCVP OD and Your MC 14.15
