TO BE A GOOD DESIGNER ? 1. To sell a product, it’s evident to attract the eye and tempt the public to buy, to consume. Find the way to influence peopleabout good things isn’t very complicated and stay honest. But when it’s about « bad » things, it’s another history… To sell products that make you fat or that are bad for health if we abuse, designers are pushing to “lie” to get the product as beneficial. For example, Poster advertising for the fruity pastis, représentd in the middle of beautiful and exotic colors cold, facing the sea, which makes you want to go there ... So, how to sell this products in wanting to do something good for the people ? To answer at this problem, I will propose to show a little glass on the poster for a small quantity, I will add a bottle of watter, and a measering cap in place of the plug for the pastis. This maybe details but the lectors see it, et they will stay reasonables. From this day, I will add to never sell alcohol bottles with a standard plug, but with a fixed measering ! In every shop.
2. What’s more, the majority of ads use some type of person to show people how they become, or what’s pictures will represented him if they used this product ! Or, to attract the eye or to retain the brand. For example, perfumes ads or deodorant such as AXE : Here, we search to tell that if we use this one, every girls, and the most beautifuls of the earth will come for the “AXE men”. Or maybe, angels will fall from the sky… But we know that everything is false !
3. Some products had beautifuls packagings but sometimes, it’s abused. The perfumes bottles for example, which want to distinguish oneself as Diesel don’t use some way very economics. In fact, the small bottle in its packaging is covered of lace, or printed leather ! Someone have little «medallions» around the bottle to look more luxurious, more fun, or more modern, just to attract the eye in the shops. This certainly brings a touch and a different feel when we take hold of the bottle. As regards packaging, some of them are made of iron such as Jean Paul Gaultier. More durable than cardboard or paper during recycling equipment… But is it really necessary to sell a product over another ?
