Executive Summary Campaign Period: February 2020-February 2021 Target Audience: 16-28 Year olds Budget: $200,000 Research Summary: Research into the company and game helped guide decisions made for this campaign. Media Summary :An experimental unique event will be used to set the new season apart from past seasons. Summary of primary findings: Even after 4 years, Rainbow Six Siege is still thriving as more content gets added to the game each season. PR: With the high visibility that Ubisoft has on Social Media, this will be the main form of advertising as well as in game announcements. Evaluation: The use of post-event surveys and social listening will give insight to the success of the event.

Players Rainbow Six Siege is a tactical first person shooter. Pair up in a 5v5 match with your favorite operator and discover one of 23 different maps.


Event Overview This event brings a new way to announcing the next season in Rainbow Six Siege. In addition to how seasons are teased/ announced now, Ubisoft would host an interactive 2 day event complete with replica of the new map for the new season. Pros and all players alike will be able to participate in live matches of Rainbow Six Siege with a colorful twist, paintball guns.

Pro E-Sport players will be invited out to participate in the live match and able to stream the event on their channels. (Twitch, Youtube or Facebook)

Along with the paintball course, attendees will be able to play the new maps and operators early digitally.


Live Gameplay After suited in safety gear, coms and Go Pro's, teams of 5 will pick their paintball weapon of choice. Once each player has done so, the game mode is randomly selected and the preparation phase will begin. Kills will be determined by the amount of the opposite teams colors the player is covered in. Once a player is 75% covered, they are to exit the course. Rounds will be timed at 30 minutes each. If the objective is not met, the team with the least deaths/paint, is the winner. The winning teams will receive physical rank pins based on how they did during the match.


Hostage

Game Modes

The hostage is in an unknown location within the area of operation. Defenders hold the hostage until time expires, or eliminate the enemy team. Attackers need to either neutralize the defending team, or rescue the hostage and bring them to the extraction point without being eliminated by the Defenders. Keep in mind that if the hostage is killed, whichever team landed the fatal blow will immediately lose the round.

Secure Area

Attackers must locate the room housing the biohazard container and hold the position inside for at least 10 consecutive seconds. Defenders must prevent the attackers from locking down the biohazard room by maintaining a presence within the same room. The timer can be interrupted if any Defenders enter the room, Attackers must work to either eliminate them, or force the Defenders out of the room.

Weapons

Bomb

Two bombs have been placed within the objective location. Attackers must attempt to defuse one of the bombs by activating the defuser. Once activated, the defuser will take 45 seconds to disarm the bomb. The Attackers win the round if they can disarm one of the two bombs, or the enemy team is eliminated. Defenders must prevent the Attackers from activating the defuser, or disable the defuser if it has already has been activated. The Defenders can also win the round if they eliminate the enemy team.

Event Objective The overall objective of the event is to bring the community together in a new way. Going above the norm of simply announcing new content, this event would show the community that they are the reason Rainbow Six Siege continues to thrive with new updates every season. Bringing a more interactive event to the public will set a new status quo for the industry and set Ubisoft and the game apart from other comparable studios/games.


Market Research A pre-event survey will be sent to all players who have opted into emails and played Rainbow Six Siege in the last year across all platforms. After the deadline, answers will be analyzed to see if this type of event is something the community would be interested in. The type of questions used will favor towards the Likert-type scale. Return on Investment Keeping with the experimental nature of this event, how ROI is gauged will also be experimental. The following methods will be used to gauge ROI before, during and after the event. Social Listening After-event Survey Gamification Kee


Event Evaluation In order to evaluate the success of the event, a few things will be taken into consideration. The first being ticket sales for the event. Since this is the first of its kind, it will be important to gauge if this is financially beneficial to all parties involved. Besides ticket sales, three methods from our ROI model will also be analyzed.

Social Listening A dashboard will be set up to track the buzz around #PaintballxSiege tag. This will be analysed before, during and after the event.

Post-Event Survey Using the same question type as the pre-event survey, this post-event survey will gauge how players felt about the event. It will go out 2 days after the conclusion of the event to emails that are associated with ticket orders.

Gameification While the event as a whole fits into this category, additional perks for those who check in, tag social media and engage more with the event overall will be awarded.
