IN BUSINESS ANALYTICS BIG DATA. BIG POTENTIAL.
Rigor. Relevance. Results.
DATA LEADERS
ARE IN DEMAND. Analyze this: The global consulting firm McKinsey & Company projects a shortfall of 140,000–190,000 big data professionals by 2018. The Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver can prepare you for this industry’s explosive growth. The Master of Science in Business Analytics will enable you to ask the right questions to make more informed, data-driven decisions. The skills that you will gain from this program are particularly relevant in a time when business analysts are in high demand, with strong professional marketability and competitive salaries.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS Let’s Get Technical. Through our partnerships with IBM/SPSS, Tableau, Hortonworks Hadoop, Microsoft and other leading technology vendors, Daniels is able to provide the most relevant tools in analytics in our classrooms. This gives our students the edge in solving complex, statistical problems to stay ahead of the curve. Experiential Capstone Project. If you want to work in the real world, you have to prepare for the real world. The capstone sequence begins early in the program to lay the groundwork, set the scope and develop a work plan for a hands-on consulting project. Throughout the program, students bring classroom lessons to life through this client-based capstone project that culminates at the end of the program. Mentorship Program. We want you to go places, so we connect each of our students with a Personal Board of Advisors (PBOA). Your PBOA includes a faculty member, career coach, current student and community member in the field who all guide you along the way to achieving a successful career. A STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Degree. This program is a STEM-designated degree certified by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The DHS expanded list includes designated degrees that qualify for up to 17 months of Optional Practical Training (OPT) for F-1 Nonimmigrant Students. Balanced Curriculum. The Daniels Master of Science in Business Analytics is one of the only programs in the country that balances the three pillars of business intelligence: data management, analytics and business decisions.
