The Brief Paralegal Eagles To create a logo and promotional material to help a law firm expand as a business. It is a new business that is requiring a logo, business cards and mock ups to help visualise the company. Background Paralegal Eagles are defence lawyers who have recently been in contact after a previous project that I had created. Paralegal Eagles want an iconic eagle symbol that is creative and unique. The full finished logo is to be completed in colour Deliverables - Logo
- Business cards CONCEPT FOR THE BRIEF For this brief I will be focusing Eagles into an iconic figure to help format the logo. The research will be based on iconic symbols and a variety of eagles in different perceptions.

Research Law firm logos Researching previous law firms and their logos. Within the research, it was aimed towards iconic figures within logos as well as their brand recognition. Gold Pier for example, look like a welcoming yet their eagles stance is firm, representing that they are criminal lawyers. As well as their logo icons I researched various type that is used within firm companies. I also researched into colour and gradients as the eagle in the top right hand side was a iconic logo which uses a law icon (weights) and the eagle (my clients icon)

Research Brand name research Further on to the previous research, eagles is a centre point in this brief. The client has a firm name of ‘Paralegal Eagles’ and wants me to design him a logo that consists of ‘something’ related to an eagle. Further to the clients needs, I have researched into iconic eagles and their shapes. They have sharp angled wings aswell as a sharp beak. This is what could lead onto the intial ideas/ development stage. Eagles will be the main icon for the logo/business cards.

Initial Ideas Initial sketches Starting with designing eagles, I wanted to experiment further away from the obvious. I decided to look back into my research and look at different shapes and sizes of eagles. I had then suggested for my client to choose an icon that woudl work well for his business. It should be a logo that would look most like a firm business as well as telling the audience the brand name through the logo - Paralegal Eagles

Devolopment Making an iconic logo The logo consists of a icon of an eagle that has been flipped round and made bolder until in a wave of ‘wings’. I wanted to create something that wasn’t the obvious. It wasn’t an eagle ontop of type, it was the eagles wings/feathers that are combined together as a gradient that goes to the brand name Paralegel Eagles. It was also important to look at different typefaces that could compliment the logo to make it look more like a law firm logo. On the right is the development stage of the wings/feathers as well as the type choice which ended being calligraphy - Lucinda.

Final Outcome Business cards - Logo - Mock ups After recieving client information, I am satisfied to be handing over a logo that looks professional and unique. From peer feedback I have been told it looks like a law firm and the caligraphy matches the logo icon. I have also designed business cards for the client who has now ordered 100x business cards from a local Leeds trader from Leeds College of Art. The business cards are done very neatly, as well as very professionaly and they look like law related therefore I am satisfied with the final product. The mockups are done to show the client what the business logos would look like in person and on a business hang-out sign.
