Future of Bacon Packaging: Outer Packaging
Outer Packaging To portray a premium brand, a black background has been used with a clean design presented throughout. There is a window on the front so that customers can judge the meat before they buy it. It is made out of waxed cardboard which is waterproof - this is so it won’t go soggy in the supermarket’s display or consumer’s fridge.

Future of Bacon Packaging: Handling
Handling To open this pillowbox packaging, the user lifts open a tab on the top. Then the user can take out the inner packaging which is a recloseable grip seal bag made from polythene. This allows the user to keep their meat sealed so it’s fresh for longer and place it in the fridge with no risk of cross contamination.

Future of Bacon Packaging: Range
Range There are five products in the Danepak bacon range, so five designs have been created to accommodate these. Different coloured pigs have been used to represent different flavours of bacon - maplecured, smoked and unsmoked. Different weights on the type have also been used to signify thick cut and thin and crispy variations.
