This article highlights the available resources and provides links to access these educational resources.

Recently, DANTES transitioned its

hard copy material into digital publications and information guides at no cost to service members. These digital materials offer a variety of eGuides, ebooks, and online

eBooks Available Through DoD/Service Online Libraries eBooks on DoD MWR Libraries The Department of Defense (DoD) Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Libraries provide free library resources to service members and their families, which is a particularly helpful benefit for all active duty service members, including the National Guard and Reserve members and their families who may not have access to installation libraries. In FY 21, DANTES purchased several ebooks that are located within the core subscription for the MWR Libraries. These ebooks are easily accessible through each Service’s online library portal. The subscription includes the following ebook titles: The Best 386 Colleges 2021- in-depth profiles on colleges and universities, best-of lists by interest, and student-driven details to help potential students choose their best-fit school Paying for College - strategies for lowering costs, the latest information on financial aid, and more ASVAB Prep Plus 2020-2021- strategies and realistic practice for all sections of the ASVAB and AFQT Cracking the GMAT Premium Edition strategies, review, and six computer adaptive practice tests for the GMAT exam Cracking the GRE - strategies, practice, and review for the GRE exam To access these eBooks, service members should visit https://www.militaryonesource. mil/recreation-travel-shopping/recreation/ libraries/morale-welfare-and-recreationdigital-library. Service members can also access different digital libraries by logging into Military One Source and clicking on a selected library (e.g. EBSCO Learning Express). Certain libraries may require service members to register and create an account, but the resources are still free. Service members can also stop by their installation library to get more information on these free resources.

Once the app is downloaded, VolEd Counselors will be able to enter an access code for viewing additional content under settings at the bottom of the app’s dropdown menu. Modern States Modern States Education Alliance is a non-profit organization dedicated to making high-quality college education free of cost and accessible to any person who wants one. College Board and Modern States have partnered together to provide CLEP prep sources available at no cost to service members as part of the Freshman Year for Free program. Each CLEP exam has its own self-paced, online video course (taught by top professors) and was developed in association with the owners of each exam. The content can also be downloaded to a personal device for offline viewing. Visit the https://modernstates.org/course/ for more information. CLEP Upon registration for the CLEP exam, military members will receive a free eGuide. Joint Services Transcript Booklet The Joint Services Transcript (JST) is an academically transcript presenting data for accepted United States Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Coast Guard service members.
