Chapter 1 If money was no concern what would you do for free? I have been teaching all my life and working in businesses.
I ran many businesses since I was a kid one of the things that has always done is help others, and by teaching, giving them new skills, teaching new ways, teaching them things that they've never done before, that's given me my greatest pleasure. This goes way back to when I was a child, I remember when I was approximately 14 years old and I was going to a technical school my dad was a toolmaker, my dad was a very special man unfortunately he died when I was 16 years old so that took a big chunk out of my life but that's what happens. He taught me skills as he was an experienced qualified toolmaker and an excellent father, when I started my

8|Page Technical School ,unfortunately I had to wait to for the third year because they wouldn't let us touch these special machines, even though I had been using lathes and other machinery for years.
They just would not allow that, I got in a trouble by helping someone else using the lathe.
I remember one lesson with my teacher he was teaching us some engineering skills, I can't remember exactly, what it was, but I said to him, what we do at home as my dad has taught me this, he was so impressed because he'd never seen it that way before I was actually teaching teachers. This was in the area of my skills at this stage.
My next challenge was taking my niece and my nephew under my wings as at this time they had lost their father he was a drug addict, incredible intelligent, basically never around, so I took it upon myself that I needed to teach these kids skills and give them Life Lessons, that they'd otherwise have no opportunity. Most nights after school and often weekends I would go around to their place and go to the park play ball catch teach them other types of skills and take them on holidays so they could enjoy new experiences.

My time has now been transferred to my grandchildren, they are technically my step grandchildren but I love them like their my own grandchildren and again they are in a family situation, and I again took it on myself that I need to show these kids that there's a better way. And that by working and that doesn't mean hard, there are ways and means out there that can get them places, they just can't sit down on their backside, they have to, get out there and learn many things, treat people with respect, this is what I have enjoyed and have a sense of duty to do.

For whatever reason, many people see me as something a little bit different. I understand this now. I was doing my apprenticeship and I was also teaching young apprentices that was part of my job that when I learn something it was my duty to also to help them.
The teacher I had when was doing my schooling, saw something in me, which must have been different than others, as when the school was changing the teacher came up to me and privately said in my ear “Victor you need to go somewhere else as this is not the school for you I didn't say this but that's what you need to do�.
When I changed to the other Technical School to complete my apprenticeship the teacher got us to work in groups

11 | P a g e and work together as project, but he would not let anyone else touch or help on my project.
He private told me “don't let anyone else touch your work specially your partner� they just saw something in me. Which I did not understand at the time. I taught Sunday school, I'm not a very religious man but I believe that there is a type of God and you can believe whatever you like I'm not here to judge you on that that's not what I do but I believe that church was a great place socially, and that they're the majority of people in the church were very nice people, we all enjoyed each other companies at events.
When I was given the opportunity to teach Sunday school, I took it and it was a great lesson in my life to learn and to see the joy in these children and learn teaching skills. I taught Sunday school in my way, I'm sure sometimes it was not quite the way it should have been taught but I believe that, we were there to be fun and to be enjoyed and learn at the same time.
Today that's still part of my ethics, I want to learn, and I want to teach but we have to have fun at the same time, life is just too short for that.

I have been involved in a number of mentor groups, these mentor groups were for marketers and businesspeople, we were helping each other, presenting our own skills and ensuring that everyone else had these skills, and that we were improving ourselves all the time. That was the object, it was about helping and improving everyone it was not just about you.
I was working with some project teams, it was a great time with this project team, the team was given a task, it had to create a project from start to finish. The course had to be chosen and decided how it was to be presented, people had to be found to Back the project and pay for all costs. it was to be a complete presentation that everyone learnt a lot of new skills and taught something who attended.
One of the schools I have been involved in was RDA “Riding for Disabled� here I gave my time consistently every week and learning my level 2 as a coach while under a qualified coach.

13 | P a g e The RDA was set up to give people an experience that they have never had before, they were all types of handicapped people some you would not even know, and others were to the extreme.
Again, with the group of people that you help, the beginners start to learn, you see the growth in them, that is what I absolutely love the most and it is just changed my respect towards people who are different to us.
I became a coach teaching Jiu Jitsu, teaching young kids it is really about protecting themselves and hopefully one day it may save their life's. I hope they do not need it, but

It has not about the money I wasn't paid I was never paid it is something that I love to do, and I always tried to make those classes enjoyable, to see the feedback coming from the kids made me realize I was doing this for the right reason. I play squash competitively and on Fridays we train, often we'll have new people to come along and it's the same the senior players reach out and help them, give them pointers, it's not about telling them off for doing something wrong, it's about getting them to the next skill level.

15 | P a g e It is fantastic thing, to see when they go up to the next grade and start winning.
I've taught kids and people to water ski all my life, I love to waterski that's one of my passions you know when you get older, and look so forward to it, but unfortunately your body is not quite so willing anymore. In my life of water skiing I have only had two failures and I've taught hundreds of people over many years, ranging from double skis, trick skis, surfing, single skiing, wakeboarding and barefooting those two people both and had the same common features they did nothing, nothing no other sport or hobbies, just sat on their back side and watch TV.

I felt loss in my life I've lost a lot of things seen death in front of me in a workplace accident, which was not a nice situation, I've lost a business, I've lost my wealth, I have lost family and that's not a great experience. I do not want you to go through the experience of all the learning that took me, my lifetime to learn

Chapter 2 What qualifies you to do that, and what differentiates you from other Mentors? I am not an overnight success it has taken my whole life and all my life experiences to get where I am.
I have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on learning, over 15 years in studying Marketing alone and I have spent most of my life at school and studying. As Warren Buffett says, “It takes 20 years to build your reputation and can take 5 minutes to destroy it�.
I have work hard to ensure you will not see any negativity on the internet about me, as integrity is part of my core value. I am a quite different type of person some people will like me, some people will not. I am not for everyone.

I started selling services to my neighbors at six or seven years old, doing odd jobs, not realizing this was the start of by business career Since I was 13 years old working with my dad or by myself. I learnt from my dad skills, that would make me an expert tradesman so I could excel in my line of work. In working hard and long hours I made good money, but I had little time for myself and realized that I was not in control of my own destiny.

I have always been there to help others in my life, that's just part of my nature and I have integrity. There are a lot of people out there who do not have integrity, one thing that I have learnt is that integrity is everything.
One of my life lessons was at a personal development courses, this particular episode came up to me and put me into a state of, I was in like shock and upset, I was asked to commit one hundred percent to our goal, to which, I thought I couldn't commit 100% and that's what they needed. That is what I believed Integrity is doing what you say you will do, and as we are not all perfect then, we would have trouble saying that we have integrity.
Then when the instructor pointed out this one important factor about integrity and how you can stay in integrity the shock and pain disappeared.

20 | P a g e What I learnt was it could just be a simple as saying I am sorry, I did not mean that or I forgot, I will now do what I said I would.
It is like when you fall off the horse it's about getting back up and keep riding.
Trust is to me is everything. I want the trust from my grandchildren, I want the trust for my friends my business fellow workers and I need the trust from you if, you join my group and I am showing you how to change your business and your restaurant make it grow you'll know that I come from truth.

Chapter 3 How Does That Make a difference in the lives of others? The greatest athletes, the greatest business people in this world, all have one thing in common and that is that they have a mentor and or a coach and that pushes them through stoppages and pushes them through boundaries, that they wouldn't be able to achieve by themselves. If this were not true, then why would all these top athlete’s top tennis players all those types of people have coaches and mentor? People especially now in the sport of MMA they will have a fitness coach, they will have a boxing coach, they will have a Jiu Jitsu coach, they will have a judo coach and a fitness coach they need all them to be successful in their chosen area.

22 | P a g e Without that coach or mentor, it is not going to happen, it just makes that much difference I was working with Brooke 35 she was a manager of a business and within just over 12 months quadrupled the revenue of that business, Brooke was one of those type of people that wanted to get on with life and improve and make a difference. She was not the type of person that would just sit on her backside and just wait for something to happen, that is not the type of person she was. I have experienced many types of people when I was managing my company, I had a manager called Steve who worked for me, Steve was a fantastic person lovely completely trustworthy a very good worker, but Stephen I would totally opposite to me. Steve could only ever do one thing at a time, and because he had only did one thing at a time that means there was always a backlog and everything was urgent, whereas I was the opposite.

23 | P a g e I would have 6 balls in the air juggling at 1 time and if I saw a new idea or something else that I had learnt that could make a difference in the company and grow, then I would do that So much to his annoyance because he did not like change. There are those types of people in the world and they are certainly not suitable for my coaching.
I Lost my dad at 16, he taught me many skills He came to me and said, that he did not always like my ideas, but he could see I was always trying to do the right thing for everyone and greatly appreciated it.

If you are the type of person? that wants to make a difference for yourself, help others then I will be the right person for you. Olivia was a schoolteacher, Olivia was in a coaching program, she was planning a project. Olivia was one of those people who was very comfortable with herself, she wasn't that she didn't like change she was just comfortable, she was happy to be where she was she didn't want to upset anyone she didn't want to stand on anyone's toes, just happy to do a job and to go home. She came to realize by herself that there was more she wanted to make a change, and what difference did it make by me coaching her?
She completed her project she got out of her comfort zone, she went and spoke to people that she would not normally do, she asked for help, which she wouldn't normally do, and the project was a complete success. The congratulations that she got, when people saw her in a different light, was well deserved and they then asked her what was it that made a change?

Her answer was I just had someone to push me and coach me, now she is gone on to do many other things. I teach Jiu Jitsu and I made the comment many years not to give up and help others. I knew that it may save their lives. One of my younger students a very quick learner, very astute, quickly takes things on, listens, really she's the perfect student, she came up to me and said to me “Victor, I hope this is all right I had to take down a person�.

26 | P a g e I was shocked, and then she said, “there was a schoolboy bully who was bullying me, and he came up to me and he was bullying me and wouldn’t leave me alone, so I took this kid down�. MY first reaction was WOW! This kid did not know what hit him, she did not hurt him, but she held him down so that he could not move or do anything. he was in shock, she got up and walked away and that kid has never bothered her again. When you can get results like that, that could save lives I am just so thankful that I have been given this opportunity to help others and help people like yourself. At the end of the year when I was teaching Riding for Disabled, a concert was put on, it was toe show parents what their children could do. One of the things that we found over many years is that the parents are the one that hold their children back,

27 | P a g e It was one of our first Parades at the end of the year, and it was running horribly overtime, I had a father he kept coming at me, telling me that he needed to get to the other side of town as he was already late that it's going to take him an hour plus to get there, I heard this probably three times ,I got the he felt a bit frustrated and he was getting angry, luckily he wasn't prepared to pull the child, out we managed to stop.
Finally, his child got to do his performance, in the last part, they had to come trotting down the outside with the helpers, this child was not able to look after himself 100%. When this child trotted down the outside of the arena the smile on this child’s face beamed from ear to ear, it was a joy to see. The really interesting thing was it after that the child have finished the dad picked up his son and was heading off and stopped and said “thank you so much for what you've done for my child I've never seen that in him before,” and it's still to this day brings tears to my eyes, as his father went from angry to so thankful and so fulfilled. When you teach and you teach for the right thing’s miracles can happen.

After each lesson of Jiu Jitsu, time is taken to spar, here we practise with a partner what we have learnt on our journey. After each spar which is between 3 to 20 minutes, we say thanks and shake hands, or a light knuckle knock thank you. Regularly I hear from the newer students “thanks victor I really enjoy sparri9ng with you as you always teach me something” or” I always learn something new from you”. There is no point in betting them up just because I am better than them.
They joy comes from teaching and seeing them gain their new belt, that is the win.

Chapter 4 Precisely what do you transfer to others that saves them the 15-30 year learning curve? I really do not want you to go through the things I have been through, the agony of those days when it just was not working, and I was going broke.
I want you to be able to go through the good times and succeed like others have.
Through my past, I remember many great times, when you win that job you so wished for, or the profit margin is just going through the roof, customers are rolling in the door and you don't know how you're going to be able to serve all the customers that are coming in your door.

That’s what can happen when you get all your ducks in a row, in my system, I will be able to transfer skills and techniques and systems, you don't need to have talent, these are all things that you'll be able to learn over a period of time.
It will not happen overnight as they often say but he can happen.
A lot of my system has been used by others it comes from practical experience, it comes from other businesses, it comes from other marketers and restaurants like yourself that have used these systems.
That is why we know that it is going to work it is not a theory it is been tried true and tested.
Before you can make changes to improve your restaurant, you need to have a change of mindset, and that is the number one thing.

I don't accept everyone and anyone , but if you go through the process of being chosen and I accept you and then you accept me as your mentor, then there is just absolutely no way can you fail. Because in this process I will be holding your hand throughout the whole system, to succeed you have to make all the moves, you can't do nothing, or just sit on your backside, you've got to be able to do the work and that will ensure that there is no failure. Chapter 6 Please share three techniques we can learn now that will impact our lives and those we touch? Why do some restaurants succeed so magnificently or so significantly whereas others are just pale behind them and are hidden?
I believe there are three things one is message, the other is market, and the third is systems.
Those successful businesses they understand this.
You are going to learn in these techniques is – One it is about it is about the message it is about speaking to your ideal customer.

38 | P a g e If you’re a restaurant say an Italian restaurant and you're talking to a vegan, and trying to get your message across to this person to come to your restaurant, and you have no idea they're a vegan and you're spending a lot of money on your ads, or your marketing. And that is the who you are reaching, then you are just throwing money away.
The majority of dishes in an Italian restaurant would have meat, therefore that is not your ideal customer. You have got to think about and have a look at what is your ideal customer.
The second part to this is who else has your customer?
If you want to grow your business, then you need more customers, where do you find your new customers? you could spend a lot of money advertising & marketing, maybe it is there is an easy way to find out, who else has your customer?
Again if you are an Italian restaurant there may be a school down the road or a night school that teaches Italian, the

You could advertise your business, maybe you could put some brochures out there, but who else would have your customer. Have a look to see who that is.
Thirdly -What is your customer worth? how many times does your customer come back, how much do they normally spend? we need to know these numbers, as later on will be looking at return on investment, and if you don't know your numbers and you don't know what your customers worth, then we don't know how much to spend to get a new customer.
The next part we are going to look at is do you know where are your customers hiding?
You may be already using social media, or you may not believe in social media on any of those platforms.

Each platform is a little bit different and caters for different types of people.
You need to know which one your customers is on. If you have got an older customer age group then they are more likely to be in Facebook, if they are Professionals, LinkedIn. They could be in a certain area of here in Melbourne.

If that is not your type of customer you need to look and find out, do your homework, where are your customers hiding now?

42 | P a g e What does it cost to get a new customer? If you do not know the cost of getting your customer how do, we know How much to spend on marketing.
To get a new customer there are people who say it cost 3 times 7 times 15 times the cost of getting a new customer.
What that means he is it if you're spending say $1 on your customer to walk into your door that you've already got, and instead you want to get a new customer to walk in the door you're going to spend $15.
If your new customer spends only $10 and it cost you $15 to get them in the door you have lost $5, the math’s here say there is no profit in getting a new customer.
It’s the a lifetime value that will change that ,more importantly what's the lifetime of your customer worth, if you know this then you can go and work out what it cost to get this new customer and u know how much you can go and spend to have that new person walk into your door plus how much are return on investment.

Marketers says, “a person who can spend the most amount of money on getting a new customer will win�.
We need that person to win is you!
How are you going to reach out and touch these customers, these new potential customers or even your old customers what is the best method? If you are a factory lunch shop and where you in the middle of industrial area, there is a good chance, today that they still may have a fax, I know I used to send faxes
Do I have to use email, do I have to ring them, do I have to use social media, and if I am using social media, what social media am I going to use to be able to reach my customer?
It may be different for a new customer and your old customer, that is something the only you can discover.

No matter what touch point system you are using it is got to be right for you, because each business and each area and each type of area is going to be different’
We need to look at our systems and what has definitely been noted over time is that if you do not have systems in place the chances of failure are horrendously high, systems are what makes the business, they allow you to walk away and the business run while you're not there.
This is very important you don't want your business to be totally relying on you, yes you've got to watch over it, it make sure that people are doing the right thing and check-in but you just need to look at the big overall picture you're not looking at the small things otherwise you could just drive yourself a bit crazy.
It is important to have these systems in place, once we have the systems that you need in place, then you can automate it.

45 | P a g e Systems that you automate are things like- email system, where your contacting and sending information out all, offers out to your customers or to your potential customers, Ordering and delivery systems.
You may automate Facebook, social media , blogs etc. there are systems out there that when you post it will post to your blog site it will post to your social Pages it can post to a multitude of places all the same time, so just by writing one article and sending it out it's gone to everyone and all your sites.
Bulk create, you can write a set of posts, then get them sent out 1 per week, then you can set it up next 7 weeks, you don't need to do anything, until the next batch, get someone to write articles for you or promotions. pay someone.
They could write ten of them at a time and again automatically post them.
If you have a special of the day ,you need one for every day that you're open, if you're open 5 days a week you need five specials of the day, at 6am every morning or 6pm the night

Do not do everything yourself as this will just lead to failure and personal breakdowns, it's impossible to do everything you can't cook, clean, wash, talk to customers, plan, work on the business, sometimes you have to Delegate.

You need to have a birds eye view of your overall systems, you may take on the main parts the most important jobs, and then those other non-critical jobs you can automate, or get someone else, it can be one of your staff members or hire someone.
