The Wikiendi Is Live & Alive At Nafasi Art Space Traditional Fusion Music from East Africa

“WIKIENDI LIVE! is a unique and vibrant live music event dedicated to showcasing traditional African beats and fusion. The platform features artists from Tanzania, as well as visiting regional and international artists.�


“On 29 April, the night in Dar es Salaam was hot, and the music was even hotter. Dar’s favorite night of traditional African beats & fusion was back - an electrifying music concert was performed that featured top live African acts, Kenneth Mugabi from Uganda, Isack Abeneko (TZ), and Marahaba Band (TZ).”


“Inside Nafasi’s great hall, visitors participated in CHAPCHAP, the monthly public art activity that is free and open to the public. This time, it was facilitated by Mwandale Mwanyekwa (Big Mama) as she teaches about how to work with clay. Each participant had a chance to choose a character and will make a mask out of clay, representing the character in any form.”

mong notable, tourist attractions in Mbeya region is Kaporogwe Falls which are a natural water drop on Livingstone Mountains. Counted as a thrilling attraction in Mbeya, Kaporogwe Falls are located some 25 kilometers from Tukuyu Township, a fast growing tourist locality in Southern Highlands of Tanzania. The thrilling 25-metre Kaporogwe Falls originates from Kala River, a tributary of the Kiwira River. A day trip to these falls is considered a big treat as the scenery is quite magical. Driving towards the Kaporogwe Falls is exciting as passing through green and fertile land on the journey to the falls has been described as life changing.
