Following on from the success of her Serial Killer Next Door tour, psychology expert Emma Kenny continues her journey into true crime and explores the mysterious and manipulative world of cults.

What is it about the power and allure of cult leaders that makes them able to control the minds of their members? And why do these so-called spiritual leaders turn into malevolent murderers?
Killer Cults provides the answers, delving into the psychology of these charismatic killers and their followers, and analysing some of the most notorious and infamous cases, including Jim Jones and The Peoples Temple, David Koresh and the Branch Davidians and Marshall Applewhite's Heaven's Gate. Within the pristine walls of his private psychiatric clinic, Doctor Prentice is interviewing a new secretary. Geraldine wants the position but seems underqualified and uncertain about her parentage. Mrs Prentice appears, flushed and in urgent need of a drink, following an illicit encounter with Nick Beckett, blackmailer and bell boy at the Station Hotel. In the meantime, Doctor Rance, a government inspector and Sergeant Match, a policeman, arrive amidst increasing chaos with searching questions of their own.
What The Butler Saw is Joe Orton's final, most ambitious play. A manic farce and masterclass in fearless comic writing. No institution, political view or tradition is safe, as Orton focuses his wicked sense of humour on a range of targets. He brings together an array of distinctive characters, placing them in a series of improbable situations, unflinchingly exploring comic territory few playwrights before or since have dared to visit. Contains strong language and subject matter which the playwright very much hoped audiences would find offensive.

Based on the book by Rachel Bright & Jim Field. Adapted & directed by Sarah Punshon. Music & lyrics by Eamonn O'Dwyer.
Nicoll Entertainment present a Rose Theatre, Curve, MAST Mayflower Studios, and Unicorn Theatre production.
'No matter your size, we all have a mouse and a lion inside.' A heart-warming tale about confidence, self-esteem, and a shy little mouse who sets out on a journey to find his roar.
In a dry dusty place where the sand sparkled gold, stood a mighty flat rock, all craggy and old. And under that rock in a tinyful house, lived the littlest, quietest, meekest brown mouse.
Fed up of being ignored and forgotten by the other animals, Mouse wishes he could roar like Lion. But, as he discovers, even the biggest, bossiest people are scared sometimes ... and even the smallest creatures can have the heart of a lion!
Based on the best-selling story by Rachel Bright & Jim Field, this joyous new stage adaptation featuring puppetry, music and song is directed by Sarah Punshon (The Jungle Book), with music and lyrics by Eamonn O'Dwyer (Brief Encounter).

As a standalone activity or to complement a visit to a show, we can arrange a one-hour tour of the Hippodrome, introducing young people to the history of the building and what it would have been like to attend the theatre in the 1900s. Standalone tours are charged at £50 per class. If you are already bringing your class to a production, we can provide a free tour, either earlier that day or at another date.
During your visit, we can offer bespoke workshops to support the work that you are doing with your class, for example set design, technical demonstrations, and local history studies. These are typically charged at £75 per class for a one-hour workshop.
'We had a wonderful morning at the Hippodrome and would like to thank you and the team on the day for such an informative and well organised event. The children learnt a lot and really enjoyed the set design workshop.'
