I would like to recognize daniela, sandra, ingrid, pablo, alejandra and arely for stand up for all our mexico commercial customers that were affected due to the implementation of h2h and also for put the best practices first to ensure to accomplish the compliance side as possible. during march h2h was implemented to the stores but some test were not previously done so that caused few issues, were all credit notes were issue as cash opening the register at the stores causing an overage so the cm took that money and create a payment to the ar account. that causes a fiscal variance and customer complaints. the teamwork with the field to properly treat all those cases to provide the best customer service with the limitations we had. after that they did the cancelation of the wrong fiscal documents they could detect. also, the cash credit notes were hitting the ar account as well causing a double benefit to the customer opening the register and affecting the credit the team had to daily identify those they called each store and help them to do a sale of adjustment for each wrong transaction this issue caused almost 600k fiscal impact on our customers accounts so the team also needed to do a cancelation of all documents to be on compliance as possible. and all credit cards payments at the store did not go through the ar system impacting almost one million pesos during those days. the team needed to work with the field to process all those payments manually asap to avoid accounts suspension. there are still more issues to be fixes but with minimal impact. thanks, team, for all the extra effort, the manual work and for help the different it teams to gather all the information as needed to be able to fix the issues due to h2h.

Join the celebration of all our coworkers who have reached a milestone of 5 and 10 years, during Q4 FY24

Ray of Hope Award

Since 2019, Miguel Ángel and Idaima have taken the initiative to support a very noble cause: supporting the “Chain of Love Against Childhood Cancer” orphanage, through a plastic bottle and cap recycling campaign. They took on the task of coordinating communication, collection, and delivery of the collected material for further processing. Idaima and Miguel’s initiative benefited children with cancer, helping them cover the costs of their medical treatments, lodging, and basic needs such as food and education.

For this outstanding effort, both were recognized with the “Ray of Hope” distinction. This recognition is awarded to AutoZoners who have demonstrated extraordinary compassion and help others, a community, or a cause in a significant way. Congratulations Idaima and Miguel, thank you for living our values!

We celebrate the first year of operations! -

BTSSC Tecnológico

Thanks to the hard work of this great team, the building located in front of the Tecnológico celebrates its first year of operations today! To mark the occasion, we had a small gathering with healthy snacks, emphasizing that we are 1TEAM working every day to provide WOW Customer Service!

At BTSSC, we are committed to the environment!

During the last quarter of FY24, the facilities team completed the implementation of the solar panel project for the Hemingway building. This high-impact project for the company and the environment will provide electrical energy to our operations, significantly reducing costs and promoting sustainability

“Running the Extra Mile”, cause

The civil association ‘Brindemos Alegría para Vivir’ visited both BTSSC buildings to share a bit about the valuable work they do at the shelter, supporting children and adults with disabilities who also lack family support. The association’s work is 24/7, 365 days a year, and lifelong for the shelter’s users. This means that the people there receive permanent support with recreational activities, but above all, for their physical, emotional, and psychological development.

This commendable work is made possible through various supports they receive from the private sector, such as the ‘Running the Extra Mile’ race by AutoZone BTTSSC. For this reason, we invite you to join the cause, and if you haven’t done so yet, sign up today to bring a hug of hope to those who need it most.

Added Value Expo

The Added Value Expo was held on August 28 and 29 in both BTSSC buildings. During the Expo activities, projects developed during the fiscal year were showcased, which added value to AutoZone, either through their impact on savings or by generating value for the company. The directors of Merchandising and Contact Center, Angeles Licona and Alex Simental, shared experiences and advice on how we can take our work and careers to the next level.

To conclude the expo, project tables were set up so that AutoZoners could learn more about the initiatives that were presented, and the “WOW Players Wall” was unveiled, which contains the names of all the AutoZoners who received an Extra Miler recognition during FY24.

TownHall Special Edition

On September 4th, we welcomed members of the SSC leadership team to BTSSC: Michelle Borninkhof, Jameere Jackson, and Rick Smith, to lead a special edition of the TownHall. During the session, relevant data about the evolution and growth of BTSSC was shared, serving as a prelude to the announcement that Rick Smith would be handing over leadership of BTSSC management to Jameere Jackson. It was undoubtedly a special and emotional TownHall with a touch of nostalgia, where important achievements of BTSSC were remembered, highlighting Rick Smith’s key leadership in recent years.

On July 19, 2024, a catastrophic event unfolded as a faulty update from CrowdStrike, a renowned cybersecurity company, caused widespread crashes in Microsoft Windows systems globally. This triggered a massive IT disruption, throwing businesses and services into disaster. Amid this digital chaos, a group of dedicated AutoZoners from BTSSC went the extra mile. Collaborating closely with the SSC, they quickly triaged the problem and devised a strategy to fix it. Despite the complexity of the issue, which required manual intervention on each affected computer, they did not waver.

In the midle of night and early morning hours, these AutoZoners mobilized. They arrived to the BTSSC offices and began the task of manually applying the fix of computers on site. With precision and determination, they worked through the night, ready to assist AutoZoners arriving early in the morning. Their tireless efforts and unwavering commitment ensured that the incident was managed with minimal disruption to operations. This team went above and beyond, demonstrating exceptional dedication and teamwork in the face of a global crisis. Thanks to their extraordinary efforts, the company continued to operate smoothly, turning a potential disaster into a testament of resilience an our AutoZone culture.

Thank you AutoZoners, for your commitment and support!
