A Note from the

George Takei and the Importance of Staying Positive
I
’ve interviewed a number of celebrities during my time here at David Atlanta, and I’m not gonna lie – George Takei has been in my bucket list for some time now. So when I got the chance to interview him, I was understandably excited. I had so many questions to ask him, and that was before I watched his upcoming documentary, To Be Takei – the subject of our interview.
It’s not like I’m a huge Star Trek fan or anything; I grew up as a second-generation Star Wars fan, and I’m mostly familiar with Star Trek through the new film series (and that’s due to my love of J.J. Abrams for creating Alias and the general sexiness of Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine). But George Takei is just cool. He’s witty and intelligent, and he brings a real sense of passion to issues he cares about. Right now, that takes its form in two specific topics: LGBT equality and remembering the internment of Japanese-Americans in World War II. One of the things that struck me as I watched the film was Takei’s commitment to staying positive. I like to think that I have a fairly thick skin, but there are things at the world that certainly bother me and test my ability to stay positive. Those things seem like nothing compared to the experiences in life Takei has dealt with, and I don’t know if I could stay as positive as Takei does. That doesn’t mean getting angry about injustices – he’s clearly driven to fighting social injustice in various forms based on the experiences of his life. So when I finally got the chance to talk to Takei, it was one of the first subjects I brought up. You can read the interview for his response, but in my opinion, it’s a fascinating perspective on life. He brings up the rather remarkable speed in which marriage equality has spread in the last year as an example, and the importance of positive thinking in pushing for the success of marriage equality nationwide. He has a point. It’s harder to succeed in life if you’re constantly thinking negatively. It doesn’t mean being delusional about life, or settling for the successes we’ve had to date, but it does mean appreciating and acknowledging the relative speed at which marriage equality has spread.

How could I begin to argue with someone that felt my newfound platform was an obligation to speak on behalf of the Trans community? To lampoon a reality show that I’ve never been a part of, or a community of people that I am not a member? How do you remain politically correct in a situation where there was never a political agenda involved? Was I being a coward by not engaging, or realizing that it wasn’t the right place for a fight? Who knows. I’m just not a politically correct individual, and most of my fans will willingly celebrate that about me. In life, we all rub some people the wrong way, so sometimes we don’t always win friends. To those people, stand up and fight for your beliefs. I do every day. It’s never about making sure we don’t offend, it’s about the confidence and charisma that we exude when we want to fight for something. Engage your personality with others; it works. I challenge you to make the world a better place for our community made up of all its beautiful gender identified sexual orientations. Be obsessed with making a difference, even if it pisses people off.
Politically Incorrect Why are we so obsessed with political correctness? Is it a fear that we will be ostracized for expressing an opinion that doesn’t sit well with the status quo? Or maybe it’s an easy way to not make waves and not draw attention to ourselves; in this age of smart phone applications (like that disgusting and loathsome one called Secret), anonymity is becoming increasingly popular. Whatever the case, we have to evolve with our community as we herald in new futures of change in our language. We can’t casually throw out certain words that were once mainstream and not seen as politically incorrect in years past as they would be if used today. Now it would be cliché and only add “shock value” to run down the list of those exact words and phrases, so I’m just not going to...that would be just tacky! Instead, let’s engage in the language of the now... or present day phrasing, if you will. What is truly considered politically correct today, and what isn’t? For instance, in celebrating my personal victory of scoring a bi-weekly column, I had plenty of opinions offered. Most were the usual jovial praise from friends and loved ones, but some were negative. It happens anytime you post words for readers to see, but one that sticks out most is from a member of the Trans community that really felt that I had failed to not point out the “increasingly transphobic rhetoric” that RuPaul’s Drag Race was broadcasting to LOGO viewers. I tried explaining that it was a fluff piece celebrating our Atlanta community’s obsession with drag queens. I had no idea what might have been said back, because I deleted and blocked the whole mess when I realized I was about to begin an argument with some faceless social media screen name. 10 // 07.09.2014

Oh My! George Takei on George Takei Be honest. With the first two words in the headline above, you read them in a very distinctive voice, didn’t you? Yes, George Takei has a certain notable voice. It’s a voice that has served Takei well throughout his life, from his time as Sulu on Star Trek to his late-in-life coming out. It’s a voice that fights for LGBT equality and American awareness of internment camps on American soil during World War II, both topics with very personal connections for the actor. Takei’s life is the subject of a new documentary, To Be Takei. The documentary, which had a special screening in Atlanta during Stonewall Month courtesy of Out on Film and Atlanta Pride, is available now through August 6 on DirecTV Cinema. We spoke with Takei about the film’s origins, the importance of coming out and how he maintains a healthy relationship with husband Brad. David Atlanta: How did To Be Takei come about? George Takei: We were approached by Jennifer Kroot, the documentarian, and we really didn’t know anything about her. So we did some research – we saw one of her documentaries, and we were quite impressed by how she was get substance as well as wit cinematically, visually, to tell her story. So we agreed, and we thought it was an incredible opportunity to help us with our mission of advocacy for LGBT equality. And then she organized her team, the indefatigable producers Gerry Kim and Mayuran Tiruchelvam. And that was the other thing we loved – she was organizing a diverse crew, and she brought in Bill Weber as a co-director. He’s an enormously gifted editor. 14 // 07.09.2014
By Elijah Sarkesian
She and her team followed us for the three years following, and it really covered the landscape. Our primary home is in Los Angeles, but we have a condo in New York as well. She covered both places, and we made the pilgrimage to the interment camp I was imprisoned in during the second World War. She followed us there to Arkansas, and all across the country doing Star Trek conventions. And we developed a musical about the internment of Japanese-Americans called Allegiance, which we opened at the very respected regional theater, the Old Globe Theater in San Diego. So she covered the rehearsal process there, the development process in New York, and the readings and rehearsals we had in New York, and the opening of the play in San Diego. She went into a year of post-production, and we’re at this point where it’s about to be shared with the American and Canadian public. We’re looking forward to the first sharing with the audience on DirecTV, and then in August in theaters throughout the country and Canada. DA: The documentary is a fascinating look at your life. One of the things that stood out to me was when you made a comment about how you don’t believe in negativity, and how you just have a positive outlook on life. With everything you’ve gone through in your life, from your internment to general homophobia, how do you manage to keep such a positive outlook on life? GT: Well, I don’t believe in the victim mentality. If you have a negative attitude, you’ve already defeated yourself. I believe in the can-do approach to things, to being optimistic, because there’s every reason for optimism. I mean, look at what we have now. A year ago, the Supreme Court came down with two rulings: one that struck down the Defense of Marriage Act, and the other that struck down Proposition 8, which reinstated
marriage equality in California. It was something we dreamed about, but never really expected would happen quite so quickly like this, and it did. Things happen when you say it can happen, and if you say it can happen, that gives you the impetus to commit to it and work at making it happen. So I believe in optimism because it’s worked. Certainly, I’m the personification of optimism, and so I’m a firm believer in thinking positive.
my friends did vote for Schwarzenegger because of that campaign rhetoric – but he betrayed them all, because he’s a Republican, and he vetoed it. I was outraged. It was not just the veto, but the hypocrisy of it. And of course, we would find out later that at that time, he was carrying on with his housekeeper right under his wife’s nose, and had a baby out of that relationship. That kind of personal values, while saying LGBT people who want to legitimize their relationDA: You didn’t come out until ships with their partners, aren’t going to around a decade ago, during the happen on his watch. marriage fight in California. younger brother and my baby sister up very early and dressed us. My brother and I were in the living room, looking out the front window, and I saw two soldiers with bayonets on their rifles, marching up our driveway. They stopped at the front porch, banged on the door, and my father answered it, and we were ordered out of our home. My father had luggage that they had prepared for us, and my brother and I went out onto the driveway and waited. My father was with us. My mother finally came out of the house, and she was carrying baby sister in one arm, and a duffel bag in the other, and tears were rolling down her cheek. A five-year-old child doesn’t forget that. It was a terrorizing morning. And we were taken from our home to the swamps of Arkansas, to a barbed-wire prison camp with sentry towers and machine guns. We had to line up three times a day to eat lousy food in a noisy mess hall. My father took my brother and me to the mass shower. What had we done other than to be of Japanese ancestry? It was a horrible injustice. And that’s been my mission.
GT: As you see on screen, we’re kind of different personalities. Brad is more organized and schedule-bound, and he does keep me on schedule. Thank God for that. I couldn’t do what I do without Brad to organize my life. I wake up in the morning, and he gives me my marching orders. I do get things done because he keeps me tightly scheduled. But at the core, despite our different personalities, we love each other. It’s as simple as that. And we have a standing policy. Even if we quarrel during the day, before we go to bed, we always kiss. And after a fight, we may still be festering, so it might be a kind of a haughty peck on the cheek. But when you do that, it puts everything in a larger context. And when you see things in a larger context, whatever had you guys so angry with each other just seems insignificant and really petty. It becomes laughable. That is the saving grace: a kiss at the end of the day, come hell or high water. DA: In one scene in the film, you get onto Brad about using the word “lifestyle” instead of “orientation” to describe being gay. To you, why is that significant?
GT: “Lifestyle” is what the word says – a surfer, or someone who enjoys collecting, that’s a lifestyle. Being gay, or lesbian or bisexual or transgender is not a style. It is an orientation, and that orientation is shared by people who have many, very different lifestyles. A banker can be gay, and the lifestyle of a banker is very different from Michael Sam, who is a professional football player, and his lifestyle is very different from mine as an actor who’s also a civil activist. That’s my lifestyle. And I’m gay. So it’s an orientation, and styles come in many different shapes, but we all share an orientation with different lifestyles. We are born this way. It is an immutable part of us. It’s organic. It’s not a style, which is something you may use for a period of time before moving onto a different lifestyle. I’ve been gay all my life. I started noticing that I was different in ways other than my Japanese ancestry at the time I was 10 or 11. The other guys would think Monica was hot, and get all bothered and excited. I thought Monica was nice, but it was Bobby that really excited DA: Speaking of Allegiance, I know you have some me. And I knew that I was different from the others. So even plans for it to come to Broadway later this year. in your innocence, you are organically who you are. It is an imHow are those plans coming along? mutable part of us. And that’s why it’s an orientation. Style is something that changes. It’s superficial. GT: Well, something unusual is happening this season. Usually, there are one or two houses that are dark. But evTo Be Takei is playing now exclusively ery theater on Broadway, and there are something like 35 of through DirecTV Cinema, and will be in them, are all booked up. Musicals have a way of not only reaching people intellectually, which I’ve been doing with college speaking tours and corporate speaking tours, but a musical can hit people in the heart. So we developed the musical, Allegiance. But we had to develop an audience for it beforehand, before we opened it at the Old Globe. So I began my social media campaign. But my base was essentially made up of sci-fi geeks and nerds – Star Trek fans. And I had to develop that into a much larger base. By trial and error, I learned that humor was what got the most shares and likes. So I started concentrating on the funny, and the audience grew. As it grew, I started injecting social justice commentaries on the internment, as well as LGBT equality. And it grew and grew, until this day, where I have 7.1 million followers on Facebook and over a million followers on Twitter. So the initial motivation was to develop an audience for our musical, Allegiance.

Hey, Mr. DJ Victor Calderone Returns to Atlanta BY ELIJAH SARKESIAN 20 // 07.09.2014
D
oes the name Victor Calderone ring any bells? It just might. This legendary DJ has created remixes for a number of artists over the years, including Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, and most famously, Madonna. These days, he’s focused more on his residencies in cities around the world, but he’ll be making his first Atlanta appearance in a few years this Saturday, July 12 at Opera. Before his return, we caught up with Calderone to talk about how he keeps his music fresh, his impressions of Atlanta, and more. David Atlanta: How did you get your start as a DJ? VC: My older brother was a DJ, and growing up in my home, there was this huge record collection and DJ setup, and there was always music playing in my home. So I just grew up around it, and I would just sit in the room while my brother was DJing, and listen to him play records. That’s how I got into it. He taught me how to DJ, and we would share – literally, in our bedroom at the time – we would stay in our bedroom all day and just go mix for mix, playing back and forth, seeing who could pull out the oldest track, or something we hadn’t heard in a long time. He eventually stopped DJing, and I inherited his whole record collection, and I haven’t looked back since. (Laughs) DA: Do you have any pre-event rituals? VC: You know, it’s funny. I used to have a ritual. Back in the day, I used to go shopping for vinyl. Friday was my shopping day, where I’d go into the city and hit all the record shops and just spend literally the entire day buying music and getting together with other DJs in the city and finding those records. Now, there’s so much music coming out. My ritual is all week, and it’s become a full-time job shopping for music now. I’m literally listening to promos all week, and once it gets closer to the weekend, I’ll make sure that I’m sorting my playlist and figuring out what tracks I’m going to play for the weekend, that kind of thing. Filtering through it, you know. But like I said, it’s become a fulltime job because there’s so much music coming out now. There’s no particular ritual anymore. (Laughs)
DA: If you could collaborate with any particular artist on any sort of project, who would it be and why? VC: You know, it’s funny. In the past, of course, I’ve done a lot of remix work for big artists – Madonna, Beyoncé – and back then, I had all these ideas of people I wanted to collaborate with. The one person I always wanted to work with was Björk, and I never got the opportunity to do that, when I was doing all that stuff with those artists. I was doing one remix per week, at least, at the time. And I always had my sights on her, as someone I wanted to work with. And even to this day, I just think – I don’t know, about her sound and her voice that I would still love to work with her. I think even now, musically, I just feel like her sound would lend itself to what I’m doing, even though I’ve evolved and playing more techno. Her sound lends itself to what I’m doing musically, and it would still be a good collaboration. DA: You mentioned, of course, that you listen to a lot of music these days. Is there anything that stands out? VC: Stuff that’s been turning me on and inspiring me, that’s connected to what I’m doing, would be the stuff that’s coming out of Berlin. Guys like Len Faki, Mike Dehnart and Ben Klock – right now, those guys are really doing something special. It’s that Berlin sound. DA: Is there anything about Atlanta that stands out to you? VC: I used to come down to Atlanta a lot more. It’s been a while since I’ve been there. The last show I was supposed to do there was unfortunately cancelled due to a family emergency, so it’s been a while since I’ve been there. But my memory of what’s happening there is that it’s always been a really inspiring crowd to play for, a lot of really great energy. DA: What else is going on with you, professionally?
VC: I’m about to block out some studio time and get out DA: On a similar note, what do you do to make some new music, some original productions. It’s been a sure your music stays fresh? while since I’ve put out original material – over a year now. I’m really looking forward to that. I’ve blocked out VC: It’s kinda like what we were talking about. Staying on some time to get into the studio and collaborate, and I’m top of all the music that’s coming at us now. Before, I knew going to try to put out as much as I can. I’m really excited the artists and the music I was playing. Now, I’m collect- about that. ing 60-70 new tracks per weekend that I’m adding into a Victor Calderone plays at Opera (1150B playlist. Neon Trees Frontman Talks Reconciling Gay Mormonism, Atheist Bashing and Bear Lust
BY CHRIS A Z ZOPARDI
N
eon Trees frontman Tyler Glenn is still figuring out what it means to be a gay Mormon. Not just how both modifiers can exist simultaneously, but if it’s even possible that they do. The alt musician spoke candidly on the heels of the band’s latest album, Pop Psychology, revealing how he’s not letting other people – even the Mormon Church – define his relationship with God, the gay atheists who lambasted him for standing by his beliefs and one of the reasons he recently came out: to find love. David Atlanta: What does being a gay Mormon mean to you? How are you able to be both without feeling like a contradiction?
Photos: Andrew Zaeh 24 // 07.09.2014
Tyler Glenn: Yeah, it’s interesting. Because there were things about the church they didn’t agree with, or they decided they wanted to live a different lifestyle regardless of sexuality, I had seen so many of my friends fall away from the church, even if they didn’t necessarily want to. They just felt like they had to pick one or the other.

yler In my life, I’ve never felt like I totally wanted to do everything that I was told I had to. I’ve always been that way, and I still have a lot of faith in God and in a lot of the teachings of the church. Obviously there are things I scratch my head at, but I’ve always been that way. I just wasn’t so quick to throw away that part of me and accept this other part of me, so I guess my situation is, I want to be open and honest and say I have these beliefs, that I have these feelings and I’ve acted on these feelings and this is who I am. I’m not ashamed of it. There have been a lot of people that have come up to me since (I came out) and said, “Thank you for being that way, because a lot of other people feel that way too.”
DA: The Mormon Church is tolerant of homosexuality as long as you abstain from homosexual relations. That said, how are you able to reconcile Mormonism and homosexuality in terms of establishing physical relationships? What happens when you’re in a relationship, and are you in one?
TG: I don’t think I would be the one walking away, but I would probably be removed from the records. I mean, I do go occasionally, but I haven’t actively gone to church in about seven or eight years. I’ve always kind of felt like I didn’t fit in, but at the same time I love serving the mission, I love the teachings, I love The Book of Mormon. There are a lot of things I really, really believe in. It’s funny. Coming out as gay – it was almost harder to come out as Mormon. I was surprised how many people didn’t know I was Mormon, that I was raised that way. I got a lot of flak from atheists, which is interesting. A lot of gay atheists were applauding that I was coming out, but bashing me because I decided to still remain Mormon.
TG: I wish I could find a relationship. I don’t want to sound like I’m on the prowl, but when I came out, part of it was because I want to find love. I want to find somebody. I’ve never been all about the random hook-ups, although I’ve had those experiences, but that’s just not who I am. Coming out was a release. DA: Of all the people you’ve come out to in your life I want to meet someone in a more open, normal setting and – your family, the church, the whole world – whose not just have to be covert on apps and online – hiding it. acceptance meant the most to you?
TG: I don’t know if it meant the most, but at the time it did. My producer (Tim Pagnotta) and one of my really close friends who I’ve written so much music with was the first person I came out to. I really wanted him to know what the songs were about. I got the courage to tell him and his reaction was so loving and so caring. I never associated any sort of love with being gay, and then he congratulated me and it changed my world. It encourDA: So, if your bishop does not approve of your aged me to tell my parents, my family and my band. I don’t know if it away from the church? means the most in retrospect, but it definitely had the biggest impact on me. I think reconciling – I don’t know. I guess when it comes to it, I will. You know, I identify as Mormon because I believe in it, and regardless if, at some point, they decide to say, you can’t be (Mormon), I still won’t let someone here on Earth define my faith or my relationship with God and my beliefs. I will still identify with those beliefs.

DA: From what you’ve said, it doesn’t sound like the Mormon Church had anything to say about your coming out. TG: Right, no one said anything. DA: Do you think the church lets you get away with more as a gay Mormon because you’re in the limelight? TG: I think they’ve dealt with so much PR backlash and that I’m pretty inconsequential to that. I heard from a lot of members and I’ve heard a lot from local leaders and they’ve said it’s a good thing that I did this, but there’s been no official stance. There was a long period of time to hold callings. But I don’t know, man. I would love that, where I thought, “I don’t have to come out; it’s not a big deal.” of course. oxx Tavern, an Atlanta staple, is the goto place for any occasion – lunch, dinner or just drinks. And Roxx’s perfect cocktails wouldn’t hit the spot without Scott Daniels. Scott’s been serving up drinks at Roxx for some time now and is definitely a welcoming familiar face. One of the things he loves most about Atlanta is it’s large size but small town feel, “big enough to enjoy, but small enough that everyone knows you.” We caught up with Scott in between making his signature Cucumber Spa Martini composed of fresh cucumber, Absolute Vodka and mint. What sets Roxx apart from other Atlanta restaurants? When you walk into Roxx, you know you are home. Great food, great drinks, great friends, and great service. A place where everyone knows your name (or what you drink)! What’s been your craziest experience as a bartender? We threw a birthday party at the bar for Mike Thrasher, a great guest. Hundreds of people showed up. Not even standing room was available. It was the best part of 2013. What’s the worst thing a customer can do? Not get my jokes. I have jokes for every occasion – sometimes I require thought! Dinner and a show is what I am all about.

You’ll hope for a day that will be a scorching hot ball of fire. What you’ll get will be the complete opposite, and it’ll be hard to keep your eyes open. Get in a vigorous workout to break the fog. Follow that with a few lattes and you’ll be good to go for the rest of the day.
You may have to establish yourself as group leader today. Your pals won’t have a problem with that, as they don’t want the responsibility. Rule with the wisdom of Solomon today. It’ll be far more effective than being bitchy and mean, although not as much fun.
TAURUS (April 20 – May 20):
SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21):
Sometimes a guy needs to let go of unneeded attachments. Sometimes a guy carries around too much extra baggage. Sometimes a guy needs to know when to just let go. This could be you today. So took a hard look at your personal baggage, and just let go.
Your boyfriend will create problems for you today. His demands will be outlandish and his mood foul. It’s never easy being the whipping boy, but grit your teeth and hang in there.
GEMINI (May 21- June 20):
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 20):
You’ll express your opinions in loud and forceful tones today. People have come to expect that of you, but you still seem able to strike a few raw nerves. So expect today to be scrappy, with people telling you to put up or shut up. That second choice would probably be smarter and a lot less painful.
Annoying and meddlesome people will sorely test your sense of humor today. They’ll eventually work your last nerve, bringing you to the brink of explosion. Chant your mantra to get through this trying day. Then go home and pop ‘The Golden Girls’ into the DVD player. Now that’s funny!
CANCER (June 21- July 22):
CAPRICORN (December 21 – January 19):
Buy a gift for the person you love best today: Yourself. You spend so much on others it may be time to treat yourself. You won’t get extravagant but you deserve something special.
You keep a finger on the pulse of technology, and no one can accuse you of being a dinosaur. They can, however, rightfully accuse you of being a nerd. But you take that as a compliment, so wear your badge with pride today. Go out and show guys a nerd can be sexier -- and a lot smarter -- than an Abercrombie model.
LEO (July 23 – August 22):
AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18):
You’ll need supreme confidence in yourself to get through some tests today. They’ll seem daunting, but success will open a lot of doors. That will be something you could really get used to, especially after having so many slammed in your face in the past.
Sudden changes may rock your world today. You’ll be blindsided by most of them, but keep on keeping on. No matter how harsh, changes are a part of life. Dealing with them in a mature and professional manner is the only way to get though them.
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22):
PISCES (February 19 – March 19):
Your plans to be organized will go quickly out the window today. This may cause some dizziness and disorientation. Repeated tries to bring things back to an even keel will be futile. This sounds like a good time to curl up in the fetal position.
Mind your own business today and don’t involve yourself in drama and catfights. Let the rest of them slug it out while you focus on your own life. The hammer will fall, but not on you, and you’ll come out of it smelling like a rose and first in line for good karma.

ome bitches never cease to amaze me. Especially when it involves the almighty dollar! Instead of worrying about what a motha fuckah is gonna do for them financially, these whores need to wake the hell up and support themselves, goddamn it. And shame on the ones who put up with this shit from them. I’m sorry but no dick, no matter how big and no pussy or ass, no matter how tight and gushy ... is worthy of this sense of entitlement. If you’re gonna pay for it, get what you need at Rentboy.com or Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club ... without having to pay maintenance fees nor sign a long term contract! This week’s FavoriteBitch is all about the You Can’t Sit With Us crowd. Enjoy!
Dear I See An OraQuick In Your Shopping Cart, To hell with seeing red ... start seeing green! Once he’s fucked every nymphomaniac and dried up hole within a 25 mile radius, begin pimping that motha fuckah out for some gay-for-pay action. Tired old trolls pay way more money than lonely old women. NEXT! Dear Miss Tiger, I went and brought home a man I met while performing in drag up in Indianapolis. He stays at home, won’t cook and insists we go out to eat. I’ve got a pageant coming up and we have to budget the money. I’m not cheap but we just can’t afford to eat out every night. What in the hell have I gotten myself into? -Anonymous Atlanta Diva
Dear Miss Tiger, My friend Katie married a guy who’s really rich. She totally ditched me now that she’s hanging out with a bunch of rich housewives from her new neighborhood. It’s not my fault that my husband isn’t rich and it’s not my problem that she changed. What should I do? -Heather
Dear Toss That Motha Fuckah And Make Chef Boyardee Your New Bitch, If you insisted on having the worst Indianapolis had to offer, you’d been better off sashaying to the mall and dragging back some bargain basement makeup from Merle Norman. NEXT!
Dear Flying Stand-By In A First Class World, Ummm ... it’s totally your fault you married a broke-ass motha fuckah. Had you done like Katie, you’d be counting paper instead of loose change at a Coinstar. NEXT!
Dear Miss Tiger, My wealthy friend is fucking this really hot guy who works at the dry cleaners. I’ve tried telling her that he’s never gonna be able to provide luxurious things for her. She just won’t listen! Am I wrong? -Gay Best Friend
Dear Miss Tiger, I’m a spoiled “Daddy’s Girl.” I’m looking for a man that pampers me the way he does. Finding one is difficult! I’m wondering if you might have any suggestions for me? -Natalie
Dear Leave Stanley Steemer The Fuck Alone, Maybe the closest he’ll ever come to a Persian rug is cleaning it ... but when it comes to the carpet between her legs, the bastard owns it!
Dear Bitch You Ain’t All That, Need advice? Write, Tweet or Facebook me and get the Speaking of ‘pampers’ ... answers you’ve been looking for, Hunty! Looks like daddy’s little girl can’t be potty trained ... so let that bastard keep on dealing with your goddamn shitty diapers. NEXT!
Miss Tiger
Dear Miss Tiger, I just found out that my boyfriend is escorting big time. I’m seeing red! He says I shouldn’t be jealous because all of his clients are lonely old women. I really don’t want to work so maybe it’s alright. What do you think? -Monique 66 // 07.09.2014

Why is it in Atlanta that it seems to be a secret to like and admire men with hairy, beefy (read: bearish) builds?
Wear your hat, biatch, and shut up!
If I stop the car so you can walk across the street, I better see some hustle out of you! Knees to chest bitch, KNEES TO CHEST! I have two friends who are experts at sucking the life out of every Facebook post they make. They have to be two of the most miserable people on Earth with all their griping, whining bullshit.
It’s a damn shame how I can find someone just so-so cute when they’re cleanshaven, but the minute they grow their beard out, I’m like DAMN, he’s hot as hell! I think I’m a beard slut.
I hate being in debt. Is it wrong that one of the things I look forward to having in an LTR is splitting the cost of things? Of course love and shit is important too, but sharing rent gets me hard.
I hate that people say I’m stuck up. I’m just really shy.
Am I the only one that thinks “puppies” are just leather boys that don’t know how to act right?

Furry bellies are yummy.
It’s funny. This twink says, “Fit, looking for same.” I’m sorry, but you don’t look fit. You look scrawny and hungry! Go eat something!
All I want is a husband, kids, and a house with a porch. So why am I living in Midtown sleeping with a different guy every week? When a friend gets back with a guy that treated him like shit, I’m like, good luck – you’re gonna need it!
