A Note from the

Editor

Welcome to Pride It’s that time again people. Atlanta Gay Pride Festival is here! This will be my first Atlanta Pride in over a decade. I’m looking forward to experiencing the many different facets of Atlanta’s LGBT community. This will also be my first Atlanta Pride occurring this time of year. It was a very judicious choice to move the festival to National Coming Out Day. Not only is the weather going to be milder, but the relevance of Gay Pride is maintained because it centers on another important date for the LGBT community. There is so much going on at and around Pride, that it is nearly impossible to attend everything. I think it’s important to plan ahead for this weekend in order to get the most out of it, and have the best possible experience. So take a look inside at David Atlanta ’s concise rundown of Pride events, and schedule yourself accordingly. Take some time to share your wisdom with those who are new to our community. If this is your first Gay Pride, welcome to a wonderful new world. This week, in my interview with actress/comedian/jazz singer and activist, Lea DeLaria, she makes a wonderful point; Pride is our best opportunity to show the world ourselves and have visibility. I am very lucky in my job at David Atlanta. I get wonderful and unique opportunities to learn about worthwhile and diligent charities that are making a difference and a contribution in our world. As you stroll through the Pride Market, ask questions of the representatives and get a handle of where we are as a whole in the LGBT community. You will find, as I have, that Atlanta is full of charitable people full of love for others in their community. Whatever you do with this weekend, please have an enjoyable and safe time, respecting yourselves and your fellow Pride revelers.

So, what can we do to get our Pride back, when we’re a fractured community that doesn’t hang out with stereotype groups A, B, and C because they’re “not our scene”. Face it, we’re all Queer, and we should support each other beyond just our annual Pride events. Everyone should march in their own mind’s eye Pride parade, every day of their life. Maybe we can begin celebrating who we are, by just being ourselves. At the end of the day, no one is going to judge your individuality more harshly than your own self-given critiques. You owe it to yourself to let loose from time to time, and learn to embrace the rich diversity that’s in the Atlanta GLBTQ community. More importantly, be Proud of yourself. You know, and I know, it’s much easier to connect with someone that’s approachable and honest, than when someone is feeding you a line of bullshit.

How to Put the PR Back in PRide Why are we still continually obsessed with how others perceive our sexuality? And I’m not referring to just those in our GLBTQ community, but everyone that has ever interacted with another human being. Case in point, the men’s room in a non-gay environment is always quiet as a tomb. Or like that time when your straight friend interacted with their other gay friend like a normal person would, but then the moment their straight guy friends come into the room...it’s suddenly all ‘bro’ and ‘dude’ and back thumps. Do Gay people get a different set of social cues than straight people? If so, why? Why are we obsessed with being “too gay”? Who sets these standards, and why do we care?

Perhaps the steps to healing our community begins with sharing our strength, our stories, with others that haven’t been able to have the same experiences in life. The only way we learn is from the teachings of others. It’s my life motto that I take the ridicule and bullying of the world so that someone less strong doesn’t ever have to. It’s hardly a cure to all the horrible ways our community is treated, but I like to think I’m making a difference. Maybe not like some of our amazing activists in years past; but just my way of honoring those brothers and sisters that ultimately died to grant us the queer freedoms we have achieved over the many years since 1969. So please...go be the best you, and have a fantastic Pride weekend. Promise me you will find something wonderful and uplifting in your celebrations. And do tell, I want to know about them!! Tell me your best story from Pride~~ Obsessed@davidatlanta.com

So many of us are embarrassed when someone burns their flame brighter than any other person, in front of straight people. It happens all the time. What has society done to make us even notice that these things bother us to no end? (Like that horrible cow of a woman on Survivor. She referred to the gay contestant as ‘one of the girls.’ Huge mistake!! *spoiler alert* Her torch got deservedly snuffed out. #sorryboutit #ByeFelicia) We all let our inner diva out to play, but often in mixed social situations, I want my fellow GLBTQ members to not draw unwanted attention to themselves. What is worse is feeling horrible that I even feel that way. I should never for a moment be embarrassed by my community expressing and communicating the way they are. Some of us just fly that rainbow flag a little higher than others, and that’s ok. 16 // 10.08.2014

Lea DeLaria Positively Butch

I

By Jonathan Bugg

caught up with actor/jazz singer/comedian, Lea DeLaria as she was taking a break from her super busy filming schedule. Portraying the zany, twisted and smart Big Boo on Orange is the New Black has definitely taken center stage in recent years, but Lea is never one to rest on her laurels. She will be in Atlanta this weekend as honorary Grand Marshal, and take the Coco-Cola stage by storm with her vocal and comedic talents. Her new album, House of David: DeLaria plus Bowie equals Jazz, features jazz covers of David Bowie tunes.

DA: When is the album scheduled to release?

LD: Ha ha ha, that’s hilarious.

LD: Speaking personally as a ‘butch’ because I think that it’s very important thing [to note], when you use the term

LD: It’s not scheduled really, but we’re aiming for spring of 2013. DA: So you are going to time it with with the new season of Orange is the New Black? LD: Probably.

DA: Going on to Orange, when you auditioned for them, they ended up creating or expanding the role David Atlanta: What inspired you to use music of Big Boo for you. Did you have any input into how from the David Bowie catalog for your upcoming she was going to be portrayed? fifth album? LD: No. They inform us. They give us what the character is Lea DeLaria: David Bowie is a person who I think is a musical and then we take it from there. The way they write it, and genius. He’s spanned four generations easily, and I’ve always what they have them do, that really informs and gives us [as loved him. Although his take on music is very modern, it’s all actors] the ability to make them real. I think maybe people heavily based in rhythm and blues. That makes it very easy think that because Boo is me. Like they wrote it as basically for me to put it into the language of jazz. It is just something me. So, it makes it very easy for me to do. that’s a great fit. DA: What do you like best about Big Boo? DA: What’s your favorite Bowie song? LD: I think I like the fact that she is this positive portrayal of a big butch dyke. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that in a televisual LD: I love Life on Mars, I gotta tell ya. and possibly film situation. DA: My publisher wants me to ask you if, once your album is done, you would be willing to come back DA: Yeah I don’t think that any other show has porto Atlanta and do a concert entitled; “Lea DeLaria trayed lesbians and transgendered the way that Orange does. performs House of David, with David?”

32 // 10.08.2014

‘Lesbian’ we conjure up a different image. I want to be very LD: That I’m gonna get some pussy! clear, because my entire career has been, ‘don’t judge a butch by its cover.’ That is essentially what they are doing with Boo. I DA: Ha, ha. Well as honorary Grand Marshal, you am just digging it way too much. probably will. It feels like a dream come true for me to play this role. Not just from a sense that I’m on the number one television show in the world (though of course career wise that’s a dream come true), but politically as a person who has never been in the closet, this is a fucking dream come true.

LD: Ha, ha. I can’t wait to see you try and figure out how to print that! Again, it’s all about the visibility. Pride is the biggest and best method that we have to have Queer visibility. I really think still, after all these years, that it’s the best tool we have for change and visibility.

DA: It’s gotta be a great platform for you.

DA: You’ve been top several Atlanta Prides before. What do you like best about Atlanta Pride?

LD: Hell yes! This is kind of the third feeding frenzy I’ve had as an openly gay person in the world of entertainment. The first one, was when I was the first gay comic to perform on television in America in 1993, when I did the Arsenio Hall show. The second one, was when I became sort of a Broadway Star. This will be the third, and each of those times, people come around and they put me up on the cover of Out Magazine, and those sort of things happen. This time I’m trying to use this platform for the greater good. In a way that I didn’t quite do before. I’m really pushing that whole idea of how we, as Queer, need to come together as a community.

LD: I just like the way that everybody came together. Everybody was there to have fun. I really appreciate that. It wasn’t like the gay boys are over here at the disco, and the lesbians are at the drum circle. It was like, everybody was in the park, all together, enjoying each other and the entertainment and parade. It feels like a real community [in Atlanta]. I love that. DA: Any advice for lesbian performers just starting out?

LD: Yeah, be sure to know how to bartend and wait tables. I DA: You like the term ‘Queer’ over the whole LGBT... think everybody just starting out in this industry needs to have something to fall back on. You’re not going to make it right LD: Yeah, I fucking hate all that LGBT stuff! I think that’s just away, but stick to it. Oh, and don’t fucking play an acoustic one more way of fractioning us and making us just a bunch of guitar! different groups that don’t talk to each other. Under the umbrella of ‘Queer’ is a much better way to label that. DA: Big Boo, in the first season, makes very...let’s say ‘creative’ use of a stolen screwdriver. Then she DA: If you had to pick just one gay issue to fight for, goes leaps and bounds beyond that in the second what would it be? season, with peanut butter and a dog. What did you think when you found out that you would be doing LD: Um, that we all have one good hair day off. Yeah, that should that? be the number one thing on the gay agenda. Seriously though, it’s very difficult for me to answer that, because there is so LD: First of all let me just say that we don’t know what hapmuch that we need to do. Trying to choose one becomes very pened with that peanut butter. [The audience] infers whatever ridiculous. I just try to be visible and let people, in the rural parts they want from that. I think sometimes they sit around the writof the world, [see an example of] a positive butch dyke. Maybe ers room and go, ‘what’s the weirdest thing we can think of? through my example, they can see that they’re not the only ones Ok, let’s give that to DeLaria!’ They know I’ll do anything for a out there. That’s still very relevant, believe me I know from all laugh. I am the one person in the show that will do anything the messages and instagrams that I get. We forget sometimes, for a laugh. in the big cities, what it’s like elsewhere. I get messages from girls in India that say, ‘if they knew I was gay, I’d be murdered.’ DA: Can you tell me anything about what might happen in season three? So I think probably my biggest fight, and something that I’ve always tried to get behind, is just pure and open Queer visibility. LD: Yeah, I can tell you I’m in it. Seriously, that’s all I can really Having said that, I don’t believe in outting. It’s ridiculous how tell you. I don’t think I’m speaking out of line when I say that no much time we waste as Queers talking about whose out and one is going to be disappointed with season three. It is really, who isn’t. really good. DA: People like Perez Hilton.. LD: Fuck him! Such a fucking waste of time. If we spent half the time that we spent talking about Tom Cruise, talking to the government, we would have had our rights 10 years ago. DA: What does Gay Pride mean to you? 34 // 10.08.2014

I can’t wait to get to Atlanta for Pride. I’m really looking forward to it.

STEEL MAGNOLIAS at the Alliance Theatre, directed by Tony Award winning actress Judith Ivey

T

he Alliance Theatre is pleased to announce the cast and creative team behind its upcoming production of Robert Harling’s Steel Magnolias. The quintessential story of family and friendship, this moving, Southern classic tells the story of six complex women sharing life’s ups and downs in the safe-haven created in a home beauty salon. The story follows a group of strong, spirited women who tackle life’s triumphs and tribulations together with classic Southern humor and style at Truvy’s Beauty Parlor in Chinquapin Parish, Louisiana, and centers on Shelby, who moves from wedding to childbirth to medical complications with a love of life and a willingness to face its possibilities bravely.

By Holland Baird

“This community of women is such a delightful and touching story to tell,” Director Judith Ivey said. “It truly is an ensemble play for if we didn’t have one of the six there would definitely be something and someone missing in the story. Their histories deepen this story beyond its surface of humor and teasing. The intelligence of that humor is based on those histories and relationships. It really is a love story celebrating the woman as well as the human being.”

The Steel Magnolias creative team is led by Director Judith Ivey. Ivey, a two-time Tony Award®-winning actress, directed sold-out staged readings of Steel Magnolias in New York and Los Angeles to celebrate its 25th anniversary and benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in 2012. The six dynamic women in Steel Magnolias will be depicted by Becky Ann Baker (Broadway: Good People, TV: Girls) playing the cheerful, straightforward Clairee, Mary Pat Gleason (TV: The Guiding Light) playing the delightfully cantankerous Ouiser, Deirdre Lovejoy (Broadway: Lucky Guy, TV: The Wire) playing salon owner Truvy, Beth Broderick (New York Theatre: The Mousetrap, TV: Under the Dome, Lost, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch) playing the steady M’Lynn, Sarah Stiles (Broadway: On a Clear Day You Can See Forever) playing Truvy’s newest beautician and new girl in town Annelle, and Zoe Winters (Off-Broadway: 4000 Miles, Much Ado About Nothing) playing the glowing newlywed Shelby, M’Lynn’s daughter. Sarah Stiles and Annie Potts were both part of Ivey’s 2012 New York Steel Magnolias benefit, with Stiles reading as Annelle and Potts reading as Truvy. 42 // 10.08.2014

Christopher was pronounced dead at birth, but miraculously survived. Doctors said that he would never be able to walk, talk, or think for himself. Today he has proven to himself, and to the rest of the world, that his disability, cerebral palsy, is a gift. No doubt, growing up in rural Louisiana as a black and disabled man was challenging for him. He understood very early on that he would be discriminated against because of his race as well as his disability. People shunned him aside and assumed he had nothing to contribute to society. Life got especially difficult for him when he became comfortable enough to let others learn about his same sex attraction. The fact was, many made him feel unworthy, and therefore he felt he had nothing to contribute to this world. Coming out of the closet as a disabled black gay Christian man forced him to dig deeper and find peace within himself. He found the courage to speak up for himself in a world that doesn’t allow a person with a severe disability to have his or her own voice. Even with a college education, he had to deal with the discrimination faced in the work place; never knowing if it was because of his disability, his race, or his sexuality. It took time, but he stayed true to the vision he had for his life. Currently, as the CEO and Founder of Unconfined Life Institute, he shares his triumphant story of survival, success and perseverance, in spite of being segregated on multiple levels, to thousands each year as a motivational speaker, life coach, and author. He is using his gift, education, and experiences to help people all over realize that they too can live an unconfined life. Christopher is the perfect icon for equality, inclusion, and diversity. Come meet, greet and get a signed copy of the book, ‘No Longer Confined.’

Getting Your Pride On! Pride is a busy weekend for everyone; no good-gay can pass up all the activities that Pride has to offer: the parks, parades and parties can be overwhelming. That’s

1

Plan Ahead. Whether you are planning for retirement or planning for Sunday brunch, preparation is key. Don’t show up at a brunch empty handed because you were too busy to make your famous brunch delight. Prepare your special dish in advance of the festivities. A little effort will make things look effortless. Your retirement is the same.

Be a giver. “We are Family” and families take care of each other, so give to your favorite LGBT charity. Your donation may be tax deductible but, more importantly, it will make a difference.

4

why we sat down with Jeremy Reese of Mitman, Reese and Associates of Ameriprise Financial and he shared with us his tips on having a memorable Pride.

2

Protect Yourself. Protect one of your greatest assets, your skin. Use a good sunscreen to protect your skin. Should you have other protection needs (such as life insurance, disability, and long term care coverage) we can help you with that too.

3

Always remember: your self-worth should greater than your net worth. You are not defined by the car you drive or the clothes you wear. Do not buy into the hype that “things” are going to make you happy. Instead, set your priorities toward your financial future by setting a plan in motion.

5

Make it happen! Dreams can come true, but it takes effort and planning along the way. Find something that is important to you and work towards it.

Jeremy Reese is a Financial Advisor with Ameriprise Financial in Atlanta. He specializes in retirement income strategies, domestic partner planning and wealth management. He can be contacted at 678-871-2222 or mitmanreeseandassociates.com.

What Does Pride Mean to You?

Phoenix: Gay Pride is a celebration of how far we have come in society and in this world. A celebration of how proud we are to be able to be who we are. I hope generations to come, keep sight of why we have Gay pride. Its more than just a weekend to party hard. Take a moment to remember those who literally fought or were killed, just so you could do something as simple as holding someone of the same sex hand....Happy Pride Atlanta! Stay Proud.

Adam Lane Turen: It’s a way to show the world that being gay makes us proud, but that it’s only a small part to who we are as human beings... It brings great energy and strength and joy into the community. It’s a way to reach out to the silent voices who feel they have no one to turn to. But when they see the huge population come together, gives them hope and courage.

George Brusick: The meaning of Pride has changed for me over the years, considering all the progress that has occurred. I feel extremely fortunate to be witnessing the cultural evolution we’ve all seen. As LGBTQ acceptance grows throughout the western world, I’m proud and excited to be alive and part of this community during this fantastic period in history. It was only the relatively recent past when gays and lesbians thought we would always have to hide our true lives so I’m proud and grateful for those whose efforts have contributed to all we can celebrate during this exciting time!

54 // 10.08.2014

Bill Berdeaux: Pride is about being proud of who you are inside and out and not hiding it. It’s about not being ashamed to openly love who you love. It’s not so much about showing how different you can be. At the end of the day, it’s all about love. Charles Swint: Pride for me is a time to celebrate a community that has given me so much. Every year I am amazed at how many people come out to support the LGBT community. I love seeing the diversity of our city. It’s a weekend to let the city know we matter. We are all in this together, so why not party . Larry Hammack: Pride for me is a time of reflection and celebration. As an older gay man, growing up in a small Georgia town, we didn’t have any sort of Pride celebration... we had to hide from everyone in the town! I moved to Atlanta in the late 70’s and stretched my fairy wings.. reveling in the fact that there were so many of us. Atlanta was the Mecca for the South and although the community was larger and seemed ‘together’, there were no Pride celebrations. After my exit from the military in 1991, I moved back to Atlanta and was THRILLED to see Pride celebrations! I jumped in with both feet and participated with the Gay Veterans group. My heart swelled to see so many people congregating to celebrate the spirit of community, to share in the fun, the tears (AIDS quilt) and general feeling of ‘belonging’. Yet something is missing... the struggles we as LGBT people have to endure, especially here in the bible belt. This year, with the phenomenal court victories over same sex marriage, I feel like the older generations, including the defiant drag queens in Stonewall, have finally seen the fruition of the efforts, sweat, work, humiliation and whatever it took to get equal rights. The LGBTQ youth of today and tomorrow have a distinctly different attitude than we did.. and rightly so. I am optimistic that while we have a way to go yet, the future is so incredibly wide open for the younger generation... I only hope they truly realize the gigantic strides that have been made within such a short time and they still have a part to play in the furthering of LGBT and humanitarian issues. Pride is knowing we are better off than we used to be, but we still have a long way to go.

are presented, such as in Iris in Los Angeles or here in Atlanta in Amaluna, now being presented at Big Top - Atlantic Station off of 20th Street. Loosely (we mean very loosely) based on Shakespeare’s The Tempest, this is a successful combination of plot structure and spectacular, both athletic and acrobatic. Amaluna invites the audience to a mysterious island governed by Goddesses and guided by the cycles of the moon.

CHRIS Kids

Though the show is notable for having a cast that is 70% female, Amaluna also has some striking displays of male athleticism (and bare chestedness), for us boys. Most notably is the lead, Romeo who is simply breathtaking and is featured quite nicely in both the only traveling water-bowl and for his strength on the floating bar (think very controlled pole dancing 30 feet in the air).

he name rolls off your tongue....RRRRamone, and he’s the hot new(ish) bartender at the den of all things tequila, Las Margaritas. The 26 year old has been bartending for three years, and making tasty south of the boarder cocktails at Las Margaritas for three months. While his looks are exotic (El Salvador), he’s just a home-grown Atlanta boy through and through. We even went to rival high schools! What’s your favorite drink to make? My favorite drink to make at Las Margaritas has got to be the South Beach Monster. It’s this huge frozen margarita made with Patron, with one or two latin beers turned upside down in it. I always know people are ready to party when they order this one. I also like our Latin Flight with three different tequila concoctions based on three different countries, laid out on a snowboard. They are called the Doné Martha, Brazilian Buns, and the Columbian Cocaine. What are your favorite customers? I really like when my customer are interactive. I mean, talking is why I got into this business. It’s definitely not fun when they get to tipsy and get a little bold. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve been asked to do while tending bar? One time this customer asked me to get on the bar and do a little private dance for him. 70 // 10.08.2014

rama doesn’t take a break for the Pride parade, Hunties! While beads and corporate sponsored trinkets are thrown from floats ... bitches are throwin’ temper tantrums and their ex’s shit out on the front lawn, okay??? This week’s installment of Favorite Bitch is all about bullshit during Pride and motha fuckahs in the closet.

Dear Miss Tiger, How do I come out of the closet? HELP! -Twink In Hiding Dear Open Your Mouth And Let Nature (Or A Big Dick) Handle The Rest, NEXT!

Dear Miss Tiger, Last year, I kicked my lesbian lover out of the house the morning of Pride. Should I have waited until after the Be proud, fierce and fabulous. And for those who are parade? still in that closet - Let this be the week of your mo- -Dana tha fuckin’ gay lives. Tell the world you’re gay during National Coming Out Day on Saturday and celebrate Dear I’ll Throw A Motha Fuckah And His Shit your newfound gayness during the parade on Sunday! Out On Christmas Day, Love Ya! And with that said ... NEXT! Happy Pride, Atlanta!

Dear Miss Tiger, I’m a college freshman. I found a campus bathroom that nobody really uses. My boyfriend and me went inside and I gave him head until he busted a nut. Well, my dorm mate was taking a shit. He heard the commotion, crawled under the stall and busted us! Nobody knows I’m gay! What should I do? -Jordan Dear Glazed Like A Goddamn Donut, When motha fuckahs up in the dorm see a white crust around your mouth, trust me ... they sure as hell don’t think ya been eating a Krispy Kreme. They know you been eating dick. NEXT!

Dear Miss Tiger, Last year I won a contest for ‘Best Ass’ at a local gay bar while celebrating Pride. I was quite drunk and don’t remember getting nude on stage. I want to party at that same bar during this year’s Pride, but I’m afraid guys will remember me showing my ass all over the place. What do you think? -Christopher Dear You’re Really Not That Special, Darling ... If a bathhouse full of tops gang bangin’ the hell outta one hungry bottom, in a fluorescent lit room, can’t even remember who they just fucked ... you ain’t got shit to worry about in a parade full of thousands!

Dear Miss Tiger, Wanna talk to me LIVE about this kind of bullshit and My little brother needs to come out of the closet! It’s more? Then join me October 20th on Derek and Romaine not like everybody doesn’t already know he’s gay. Any • SiriusXM OutQ 106 at 9pm ET! fairyscopes ARIES (Mar. 20 – Apr. 19): Today you may feel a passionate attraction for someone intelligent this week. Conversations with this person could touch on some deep issues, such as spiritual matters or the nature of the universe. You should be deeply affected, not only by the person but also by the subjects. Wait until after Pride to clear your head. TAURUS (Apr. 20 – May 20): This could be a quiet week. You could spend some time reflecting on past achievements and future goals. It’s important to get a clear picture about the past so you can draw conclusions and make plans. If you have a family, you’ll be interested in activities that everyone will enjoy. Make some time to get together. GEMINI (May 21- Jun. 20): All the positive energy seems to come together this week as you experience a rush of sensual passion. An unexpected encounter could not only fulfill this desire but also bring you closer. If you aren’t already committed, expect to discuss it soon. Exercise restraint. Your lover could panic if you push too hard. CANCER (Jun. 21- Jul. 22): The arrival of a surprise visitor for Pride could generate mixed feelings. On one hand, you’re glad to resume contact with this person. On the other, it could create extra work for you - as if you didn’t already have enough on your plate! Recruit others to help so you can enjoy your weekend. LEO (Jul. 23 – Aug. 22): Someone who’s been ill might phone you this weekend. You could invite this person to join you for a little social gathering we call Pride. Several people could be involved. All of them will have some interesting and useful information to offer. Natives of Leo in particular might attract your attention. Enjoy your day. VIRGO (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22): This week, your sensual nature is in full bloom. If there’s a romantic partner nearby, that person should be on guard! A chance to be alone probably won’t present itself until the end of the weekend. If you don’t connect with a potential partner, at least you’ll have a good time. Hang in there and be patient! LIBRA (Sep. 23 – Oct. 22): You might have to play nurse this week. A partner could claim to feel unwell, and you might expend energy trying to make your friend feel better. Don’t overdo it. There may be psychological factors at work. Your friend could be jealous of the attention you’ve been giving your other friends. Be attentive, but within limits! SCORPIO (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): You’re generally focused on the material world, but something about the energy generated causes you to look within. You might think about the joys and pains of past Prides and wonder how they affect your life. This is a positive, healing process, so don’t fight it. It won’t interfere with what’s going on around you. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22 – Dec. 20): A group event like Pride could put you in contact with people interested in doing a healing meditation. This sort of activity can work wonders to strengthen the bond among those performing it. You might not talk much during the discussions, but you’re apt to be in total agreement with the idea. Enjoy your weekend. CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 – Jan. 19): Happiness reigns in the home as everyone feels the energy changing. It seems that the end of one cycle brings closure, and now you’re free to start a new journey. You are apt to feel a rush of intuition, which could reveal positive events coming up for you. Doubts may cloud your impressions, but let them go. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18): Are you going to go away soon? If not, you may be planning a trip for another month. You might have agreed to some overseas business travel. You should feel especially energetic, enthusiastic, and optimistic now. You’ve done well thanks to your diligent work, and you should continue on that path. PISCES (Feb. 19 – Mar. 19): Instinct and determination drive you toward unconventional plans for making money. A finance counselor could be involved. You may see this as an opportunity to restore your ailing bank account. You may have future purchases in mind. Consider your plans carefully. You’ll want to be sure it’s what you need.

Bitch SESSION SEND US YOUR BITCHES! Text 404.969.BTCH, tweet @BitchSessionATL or email bitch@davidatlanta.com *This page reflects the bitchiness of the community not David Atlanta or its publisher (although we’re bitchy too!)

It’s okay to be ugly, it’s okay to be a bitch… but never both.

I called your boyfriend gay and he hit me with his purse!

Don’t talk about yourself too much…we’ll do that for you when you leave.

That’s okay, I know I’m not your type. I’m not inflatable! Don’t you realize that there are enough people to hate in the world already without you putting in so much effort to give us another? 112 // 10.08.2014

Atlanta has some of the best and worst tops.

Nice outfit. Now, go stand on that street corner and make some money.

Well, I hope the next guy you kiss has something extremely contagious on his lips!

If your old enough the remember Backstreet, you’re too old for TomorrowWorld.

The smartest thing to come out of your mouth was a penis.

So excited to see super diesel dyke Lea DeLaria hit the stage this weekend! Back off cunts she’s mine.

Would you like some sun? Cause you’re shady as fuck.

Is blocking someone on Grindr merely because of disinterest or an objectively rude response?
