What a Difference A Day Makes This week I am struck by the planning and work that has gone into AIDS Walk Atlanta. There are so many people and teams that have come together for the mega charity event in Atlanta. We’ve highlighted some of the AWA5K teams that have been fundraising throughout the year and are making a huge dent in AWA5K’s fundraising goal. They’ve done bake sales and jello shots, small parties and large parties, even large themed party weekends. David Atlanta has formed a team of our own. It has become a source of bonding and solidarity for our office, as we share both the challenges and successes in our fundraising endeavors. Being new in town, and seeing how much work others have already accomplished for AWA5K, I’m feeling a little guilty about my late start. But rest assured I plan to, like them, start fundraising in some small way through next year. It’s important to know where this huge amount of money raised for AWA5K will go. AID Atlanta, and the six participating agencies who benefit from AWA5K, provide a litany of very tangible services, resources, and research to help people affected by and/or living with HIV/AIDS in Atlanta. You may remember the other week when David Atlanta published an article on the growth and new expanded services that AID Atlanta is now able to provide in-house. Read in this week an update to where AID Atlanta is now as it completes its renovations and opens its doors better able to serve our community. Sandra Bernhard has even joined the AWA5K cause by not only offering up her talents in a commencement speech, but also in a one-night-only, two concert benefit. Sandra opens up to David Atlanta about her involvement with AWA5K, her contributions as a groundbreaking comedienne/actress/singer, and what she has in store for those lucky enough to attend her shows Saturday night. The point I am trying to make is that there is so much we as individuals, as teams, as organizations, as businesses, and as a community can do to make a difference in the world around us. By the way, please support me as I attempt to make some small difference, in the little time I have left before AWA5K, by donating at: http://2014aidswalkatlanta.kintera.org/ jonathanbugg

Deep Inside Hollywood
Tom Hardy as The Gay & The Straight Kray If you’re American, it’s understandable if you aren’t quite familiar with Reggie and Ronnie Kray. They were identical twins, one of whom was gay, and they were also notoriously violent British gangsters. In the U.K. they are the stuff of pop-culture legend. Morrissey wrote a song about them. A 1990 film called The Krays, starring Spandau Ballet’s twin brothers, Martin Kemp and Gary Kemp, won awards. So it was time to bring back their story for another go-’round with a film, now-shooting, currently titled Legend. It’s from writer-director Brian Helgeland and stars Tom Hardy (along with some prosthetic teeth and digital twin-making tricks) as the brothers, alongside Emily Browning, Christopher Eccleston and David Thewlis. Hardy is really the perfect choice for these roles, having proven he can play gay (RocknRolla) and also romance Reese Witherspoon (This Means War); he can simmer with barely restrained rage (The Drop) and he can explode in similar fashion (Warrior). Versatile folks, that’s what actors are supposed to be. This one’s due in theaters sometime in 2015, enough time to go catch up on the lyrics to “The Last of the Famous International Playboys.”
Keanu Reeves and Rolan Emmerich will take you to New Angeles In the future, a young man breaks free from the boredom of the everyday by entering a virtual reality called “New Angeles.” In this new place, he has a fresh identity, a new destiny, and he solves real-world mysteries that will shape his former life. Sound vaguely like… oh, say… The Matrix? Minus the red pills and other easily rearranged plot details? It’s OK if it does – all art borrows or steals from somewhere. So, if your sci-fi idea borrows from earlier, groundbreaking sci-fi ideas, who’s to say it’s wrong? And furthermore, who better to produce a weekly TV series based on this premise than Neo himself, Keanu Reeves? The actor, alongside producing partner Roland Emmerich (currently in post-production on the period gay rights drama, Stonewall), have set up the idea and are going to see how far they can run with it. Casting and pilot are next and, really, with this kind of muscle behind it, it’s surely going to land somewhere running. Stay tuned. Franco’s wants to “Crash” into Fight Club’s Pahlaniuk
Naked Nick Jonas. We repeat: naked Nick Jonas Now you know why Nick Jonas has that body: he’s about to star on Kingdom, a series for DirecTV about MMA fighters. The show, also starring Frank Grillo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Matt Lauria (Friday Night Lights) and Jonathan Tucker (Parenthood), is about the lives and rough times of MMA fighters living in Venice Beach. Another thing Jonas wants you to know is that he’s going to be naked on the show – a fact he recently dropped in very close proximity to another expression of gratitude for his gay male audience – and his character may well turn out to be gay or bisexual. So, to recap: a series about sweaty guys stripped to their shorts, beating each other up, where at least one of them is having sex with both genders. Send thank-you cards to the entertainment professional of your choice for this one, and prove your love for DirecTV by watching it all go down very soon, on Oct. 8. 10 // 10.15.2014
James Franco, who keeps directing indie film after indie film – when he’s not busy jumping out of Jimmy Fallon’s birthday cake with a shirtless Seth Rogen – is going to make another indie film. He’s acquired the feature film rights to Fight Club author Chuck Pahlaniuk’s 2007 novel, Rant. He also may take the title role in the movie as Buster Rant Casey, a demolition driver who participates in something called the Party Crashing derby, where drivers intentionally crash into each other for the physical thrill of it (recalling J.G. Ballard’s novel and David Cronenberg’s film adaptation, Crash, about people who become involved in auto accidents as part of a sexual fetish). Filmmaker Pamela Romanowsky (Adderall Diaries, co-produced by Franco) may write and direct. It’s early days for this one, so expect more details to follow. Also expect to see Franco direct/write/produce/star in several other projects in the meantime. Who needs sleep, anyway?

SENSATIONAL
SANDRA
Gutsy. Edgy. Ballsy. Outspoken. Genuine. BY JESSE A. HANCOCK

hose are just a few words often used to describe the iconic Sandra Bernhard, who returns to Atlanta the weekend of October 18 to kick off the AIDS Walk Atlanta and to perform two intimate shows at The W Midtown. “I’m going to see you all soon in Atlanta,” said Bernhard. “Get all the children out because when live performers come to town of my stature, I expect it to be sold out!” Another great way to describe Sandra is “diverse.” She’s an actress, comedienne, singer, author, and mother. These days you may see her in guest starring roles on sitcoms like Hot in Cleveland or Switched at Birth, or working the talk show circuit. You may hear her singing live onstage with her band. You may find her at a book signing or out supporting a worthy cause. With over 40 years in the biz, she’s also internationally known and loved. She just announced the Australian tour of her live show, “Sandyland,“ in 2015. Never failing to entertain, we caught up with Sandra Bernhard to talk about her shows, playing a groundbreaking role on TV, Joan Rivers, being a mom, and why we should cut Rihanna some slack.

David Atlanta: Why did you agree to be involved SB: A group of people who are open to going on a journey with with the AIDS Walk Atlanta? you, people who want to go on your airline and fly as high as possible. Sandra Bernhard: This was part of the offer I was given on my visit to Atlanta, and I’m always glad to do it. DA: I read online that you once said being on the 80s sitcom show “Roseanne” (1988 – 1997) as one DA: I know there will be many people there who of the first openly gay characters was both a blesswill be glad to see you there supporting the cause. ing and a curse. SB: Of course, of course! It’s my pleasure. DA: What do you think of Atlanta? SB: I’ve been coming to Atlanta for years. I’ve always enjoyed the kind of sophisticated, groovy, Southern vibe of Atlanta. You know? It’s a nice mix, culturally and ethnically, and everyone seems to do ok in Atlanta. That’s a good thing. DA: You’re performing in two shows here in Atlanta at the W Hotel. It’s a very nice, intimate venue. How do you like performing in a small venue?
SB: Actually, I never said playing that character was a blessing and a curse. The statement was taken out of context, but at this point it doesn’t really matter. Being on Roseanne and playing that role (Nancy) was really, really fun. Nancy started out being marRoseanne didn’t decide ried to Arnie, Tom Arnold’s character. So who are some of your favorite female cogroundbreaking. mediennes?
SB: Yeah, it’s a little less formal setting than what I’m used to. The organizers reached out to me. I’ve been trying to get back into the Atlanta market, and it has been a while since I’ve been there, so this will be a nice re-introduction to my shows and what I’m doing now. As for the venue, I like intimate. It’s not a problem for me. DA: What can audiences expect at your shows?
SB: Stylistically, I’ll have my band with me, The Flawless Zircons. My Southern musicians are driving in from North Carolina. I did some gigs down there a while back, and they were fabulous! So they’ll just drive in, and we’ll pick up where we left off. We have a great blend of rock-and-roll and some cover tunes. Then in terms of what I’ll be talking about, it’s everything from my travels to being a mother and, sort of, my life against a backdrop of music and great monologues with funny asides. It’ll be very upbeat, fun, zhooshy, and crazy . . . kind of all over the place. DA: You’ve become quite a musician through the years. I’ve seen some of your performances online, and it looks like it’s going to be a really fun show. Do you sing a lot in your shows?
SB: Lily Tomlin was a big inspiration when I was growing up. I love a lot of comedic actresses like Kristen Wiig, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Melissa McCarthy, and Maya Rudolph . . . that whole generation. There are so many funny women on so many shows now. I think Julia Louis-Dreyfus on Veep is brilliant. There is so much more material and more roles for funny women now. It is a great time for women to sort of break out. It’s very exciting! DA: Speaking of funny women, what did Joan Rivers mean to you, and what will you miss most about her?
SB: Her death is terrible and tragic. I knew Joan over the years. She was a perennial and one of the ballsy-est women in show business. She was incredibly brilliant and disciplined. It’s a shame, but maybe she wasn’t as well as people thought she was. Bad things happen sometimes. It’s really sad. I don’t think it was malpractice. I’ve actually been to that clinic, which one of my doctors owns. It’s state-of-the-art and amazing, and I just don’t think it was the fault of the doctors. I think she just reacted to the (surgery) trauma. SB: I’ve always kind of prided myself on my singing and song- writing. It’s a really important element to me as an entertainer. DA: Likewise, the sudden death of Robin WilI always like to give my audiences ‘the full Monty.’ liams shocked many people. How do you think people who are in so much emotional pain are DA: What makes a great audience in your opinion? able to be funny onstage with so much pain in their personal lives? davidatlanta.com // 15
She broke up with Chris Brown and is fiercely independent. She seems to be doing her own thing, so she should be celebrated, not kicked to the curb. I find that totally weird. DA: How about celebrity nude photo hackers? SB: First of all, in my day if you had nude pictures of yourself, they were hard copies. Unless you took them to the drug store to be developed, I guess you were in control of them. There is nothing wrong with nudity. If you’re into being nude and you put it on the Internet and you’re famous, you better be damned sure there’s nothing on there that you feel compromised by. I’ve been hacked and had to shut down accounts. It’s the Wild West on the Internet, and if you have nude pictures on there, you can’t turn around and cry the blues that you’ve been exploited. It has nothing to do with exploitation. It’s what’s there. People can get to it, and they can sell it and make money. If you feel good enough about those pictures that you had them up there in the first place, then stand behind them. I wish I had sold them and made the money, but guess what? Somebody made money. It’s common sense. It’s much to do about nothing from my angle. DA: What do you think of the new changes at ABC’s The View?
SB: It’s a real escape for a lot of people. It’s a relief and kind of like a valve on some steam that’s ready to blow. I think some people get into it for that reason, and their sadness or edge or whatever drives them to unhappiness also serves them well to make people laugh. I think that was his particular issue. DA: Has your daughter, Cicely, indicated that she’d like to be in show business, and if so how do you feel about that? SB: I think it’s a great new lineup. I’m friends with Whoopi (Goldberg) and Rosie (O’Donnell), and Rosie Perez is suSB: I think at most she may become a writer. I don’t know per fun and smart. I’m hopeful that the show will have some glutted, and I don’t think she has the personality that can take more common sense now. I’m also hoping I’ll go back on. rejection. I don’t blame her though. No one wants to be reject- I haven’t been on in a long time since I went on and mixed ed. I didn’t either, but I knew what I wanted to do since I was it up with Elisabeth Hasselbeck. In addition to raising funds through the sales of JELL-O shots at Heretic and Price’s handmade ribbons, this summer the team held two well-attended dance parties at Joe’s on Juniper, complete with DJs, community sponsors, and of course, their dance moves. “The customers loved it and even joined us,” Price shared. While dancing may be at the heart of this super team, the AWA5K cause is close second. “As a nurse, I provide what HIV education I can whenever I can,” said Team LGBT Dance member Chris T. “It just doesn’t feel like that’s enough, though. I’m not smart enough to be one of the researchers figuring out how to beat this virus, but I can do this. I can walk. And I can show my support for all those people fighting and beating this disease every day of their lives.”
A Team Effort: AIDS Walk Atlanta

housands will lace up their shoes and hit the pavement in support of HIV/AIDS when the AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K (AWA5K) fires its starting gun on October 19, and while every contribution is valued greatly, there are a few teams who are doing more than walking the walk, they’re talking the talk (and one is even dancing that dance). These five teams have put their money where their mouths are, and, combined, are on track to help raise nearly $100,000. Meet the extraordinary teams going the extra mile for the 2014 AWA5K.
Team Angels in Disguise Saving Lives (AIDS) After losing an aunt, an uncle and both of her parents to AIDS, Team Captain Yolanda Meadows knew she had to make a difference. “I always knew I wanted to be an advocate but for many years I was afraid to speak about it due to fear of rejection and stigma,” Meadows shared. “In 2008, I was finally ready to not only talk about it but make a commitment to others affected by [HIV/AIDS]. I formed Team Angels In Disguise Saving Lives, which stands for AIDS. “ Beginning with two friends in 2008, Meadows remembers the team’s first walk. “I didn’t know what to expect. The atmosphere, the people, and the energy was amazing. I asked two of my friends to come out and walk with me for fun and they are still with me raising funds all these years later, but we have now added a family of over 40 more people. I could have never imagined my team would grow so quickly raising more and more funds each year.”
Team LGBT Dance “Dancing is what brought us all together,” Team Captain Rebecca Price said. “We share a love for dance and dance regularly at the Heretic on country nights.” Now in their third year participating as an AWA5K team, Team LGBT Dance is dancing all the way to the bank.
Growing year after year, Meadows has built the strongest Team AIDS yet for the 2014 AWA5K. Through partnering with businesses near and far, the team is on track to reach its $15,000 fundraising goal. This year the team held Margarita Madness at Zocalo, partnered with a local East Atlanta boutique for Wine Down the Weekend and even partnered with Prasm Clothing out of St. Louis for a portion of sales from their popular multi-color wristband collection.
With a $5,000 fundraising goal, Team LGBT Dance, at press time, had exceeded their goal and raised more than $6,700 With a family of more than 40 now, Team Angels in Disguise Saving Lives, has become a second family for many who have with additional weekend fundraisers planned. benefited from AIDAtlanta’s services. 18 // 10.15.2014
“In 2011, my brother who utilizes the services of AID Atlanta, came out to walk with our team for the first time,” team member Lynnie Harrison shared. “He was unfortunately unable to complete the walk as he was severely ill. The day after the walk, the clinic rushed him to Grady. That week was a true testament to the impact AID Atlanta has on its clients’ lives. The care and immediate attention was unparalleled. Without AID Atlanta, I know we would have lost him that year. I am happy to say that he has been very healthy since that time and has walked with our team every year since.”

I still smile ear to ear every time I think about that.” This year’s Christmas in July bake sale became the top fundraising bake sale event for the team.
Team Ready4Hope Team Ready4Hope has knockout creativity. Combined with influential community connections, it shouldn’t be a surprise that at press time, Team Ready4Hope has raised $48,972 in its fundraising for AWA5K. “I think it’s important that we keep this cause on the forefront and not be pushed on the backburner,” said Team Captain and AWA5K Team 10th & Piedmont Max’s Men Extra-Miler Mike Woodside. “We are so close to finding the cure, but this shouldn’t mean that we become complacent and stop “Our team name, I think could be the most unique,” said Team 10th caring.” & Piedmont Max’s Men team member Matt Belcher. Tabla: N An unexpected turn into the delights of India
othing about Tabla’s sophisticated appearance suggests that it is an authentic Indian restaurant. Elaborate tapestries, statues of various multi-armed deities, ornate lanterns and other stereotypical accoutréments are nowhere to be found in this modern, uncluttered eatery. Tucked away behind the Federal Reserve Bank and the 1010 Peachtree condominiums, Tabla sits below the new high-rise apartments at 77 12th Street. An understated entrance flanked by al fresco seating leads the diner into a posh, metropolitan lounge with smart looking barrel back chairs facing some large yet cozy banquettes. Heavy masonry and stone tiles hang from fiery red walls in the lounge, a clever use of color that tends to induce hunger. Opposite the bar is an impressive variety of wines from all over, proudly displayed in a temperature controlled case. Richly upholstered counter stools wrap around the bar, extending the theme of comfort from the lounge all the way to the dining room. Large glass urns holding various infused liquors sit atop the bar waiting to be mixed and poured by a skilled hand. The drinks here are much simpler than most “craft” cocktails nowadays, making them refreshingly approachable.
By Jameson Parker in house. Owner Sandeep Kothary believes this essential step makes his some of the best and most sweetly fragrant curries to be found in the city. The tikka masala is a staple, often singled out to gauge the quality of any given Indian kitchen. Best paired with paneer (a soft, fresh cheese made without the use of rennet), this creamy tomato and fenugreek sauce would impress the pickiest vegetarians. Their rogan josh is a warming dish of tender lamb, stewed in a curry of cardamom, cloves and Kashmiri red chilies. Forgo your cutlery and use pieces of truffled naan to scoop up the lamb. In all, Tabla offers eight different curries that can be paired with your choice of meat or vegetables and easily shared. While you wait for the curry to cook, do yourself a favor munch on the kurkuri bhindi. This is, to my surprise, one of the best okra dishes in Atlanta. The thin julienne cut is crispy at the edges, yet still retains okra’s trademark chewiness towards the middle. My favorite “small plate” is the spinach chaat. Flash fried baby spinach is somehow crispy and tender at the same time. Mixed with tomato and red onion, the chaat is drizzled with a creamy yogurt chutney and is fun to eat with an order of roomali roti bread.
A surplus of exotic teas, spices and herbs provide these classic cocktails and old standbys with an array of new flavors and colors. The saffron infused gin martini is strong and straightforward with a gorgeous golden hue. Chai infused bourbon breathes new life into their Old-fashioned without trying to reinvent the wheel. The bar really succeeds with the Delhi Mule. Fresh ginger root and spicy chilies permeate the otherwise pristine vodka, giving a real kick of flavor and much needed heat to this trendy staple. My favorite has to be the refresh- The back of the dining room has large windows that look diing Dirty Desi, Tabla’s answer to the mojito. Pimms No.1 and rectly over the huge tandoori ovens where all the breads are St. Germaine are expertly mixed with gin and muddled cilantro. made to order. The minimalist décor of the dining room serves to enhance conversation at the table and gives Tabla’s food a What the drink program lacks in innovation and originality, it chance to speak for itself. Leave the kids with the sitter. This more than makes up for with the use of bold flavors borrowed local treasure is for mature adults who appreciate honest Indian from the kitchen. The Triple Crowning of Atlanta’s Royalty
W
e all know that Atlanta takes its drag pretty seriously. When you add a huge pageant crown up for grabs, drag could become downright vicious. Now imagine three pageant divisions competing all in the same night! This Sunday Jungle Nightclub will be holding a drag pageant like no other, a triple crowning of three divisions: Miss Atlanta Showgirl, Miss Atlanta Grand Diva (at large contest), and Miss Atlanta Rising Diva (Newcomer). A triple crowning of three divisions: Miss Atlanta Showgirl, Miss Atlanta Grand Diva (at large contest), and Miss Atlanta Rising Diva (Newcomer). This evening will be honoring their current court, Showgirl-Aria B. Cassadine, Grand Diva-Evelyn Caldwell, and Rising DivaEvah Destruction. Pageant creators, Antoinette Marketing Group, have been producing pageants in Atlanta for the past eight years, and taken their current titleholders to a new level. They have displayed not only their talents onstage, but have showcased their talents in a recording studio as well with several music videos. “When Evah, Evelyn, and Aria won I saw an opportunity to work with three entertainers that I knew had vocal talent and the willingness and ability to work together,” states AMG owner, David Wright. “I wanted to do something no other pageantry system had done before. With social media these days the drag industry is changing and in order to bring the art of pageantry back to the forefront we have to change too.” The contest will begin at 6pm Sunday October 19. Each division will compete in four categories beginning with Creative Presentation. Each division will have a different theme for presentation. All Rising contestants will be showcasing what “The Future of Drag” holds for all of us, all Grand contestants will show us that “Everybody has a dark side,” and Showgirl contestants will give us “Showgirl” realness. Each contestant will have three minutes to showcase not only their interpretation 28 // 10.15.2014

of the theme, but who they are as an entertainer. The contestants will all go on to compete in Evening Gown, Question and Answer, and Talent. In order to keep the pageants moving and within a reasonable time frame, entertainment will be provided between divisions only by the current titleholders, Evelyn Caldwell, Aria Cassadine, and Evah Destruction. The evening will be hosted by Other Show Cast member and veteran drag entertainer, Celeste Holmes, as well as former Atlanta Grand Diva and current Continental Plus Tahjee Iman. In addition to being a great showcase of competitive talents, the Showgirl Division will be in part a fundraiser for Lost-N-Found Youth of Atlanta. All contestant entry fees will directly go to the organization that raises awareness and funds for the LGBT Youth of Atlanta and surrounding areas. The winners receive crowns, sashes, plaques, and over $1500 cash between the divisions. Tickets to the event may be purchased for $10 at www. facebook.com/events/380479002102994

The Beginning of a New Era AID Atlanta’s Road Map for the Future
A
By Jonathan Bugg
ID Atlanta is one of six recipients of funds from AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5k, but what are they doing with that donation? This morning I attended a media luncheon where I saw first-hand what changes have been made.
doctors monitor the status of a fetus in an HIV positive motherto-be. Along one hallway there is a whole wing of mental health services that are being offered. Again, AID Atlanta was judicious with its décor, utilizing beautiful couches and recliners donated by West Elm. A new Wellness Center includes several treatment rooms where the chiropractic, acupuncture, massage therapy, and nutritional counseling needs of their patients will be met. An in-house pharmacy that will be stocked and ready to dispense prescriptions drugs as needed for AID Atlanta’s patients in a few weeks. The new CEO Dr. Jose Diaz stated that they previously “had the ability to treat 396 patients,” and with the expansion and added in-house services “can now serve 4,000.” Dr. Diaz is especially proud of AID Atlanta’s new medical testing laboratory, where tests that previously would have cost hundreds of dollars, can now be performed in-house for just a few dollars. Imagine all the great things that saved money can do.
AID Atlanta is not stopping there, Dr. Diaz went into specific detail of AID Atlanta’s road map for future accomplishments. He plans in the next year to add a two-chair dental suite among other things. While AID Atlanta’s future looks pretty well mapped out, Dr. Diaz impressed upon us, that in order for them to continue to There are a lot of tangible services that have been introduced grow, they still very much need the support from the community. into AID Atlanta’s in-house services. A new pediatric exam room has even had a friendly mural painted for HIV positive children So raise all the money you can for AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5k, every that will receive medical treatment there. Women’s care has dollar raised helps organizations like AID Atlanta that are making taken a step up as well with 3D imaging devices that will help a huge difference.

Best of Me: We can all agree that when writer Nicholas Sparks found an equation for bestselling material; Love + Loss + Hope + Tragedy + Rain Kiss = One great love story. Telling the story of Dawson and Amanda, two former high school sweethearts who find themselves reunited after 20 years apart, Best of Me looks to be everything we’ve come to expect from a Sparks film, especially in the casting with uber hunk duo of James Marsden and Luke Bracey. Dear White People: A group of black students at an Ivy League college are putting the smackdown on all the white students and their unconsciously racist attitudes and activities, including an “African-American-themed” fraternity party. The film looks to be well cast and definitely explores modern racism in a funny, yet straightforward approach.

fairyscopes presented by: the armorettes
ARIES (Mar. 20 – Apr. 19): Your fantasies could come true when it comes to relationships. This could be the moment you’ve always dreamed about, so get ready. The attractive, romantic person in the corner has been keeping an eye on you all night. Your blood is pumping faster than ever. Remind yourself that all dreams can come true.
LEO (Jul. 23 – Aug. 22): Take your loved one out for a romantic dinner. Escort them on a ride to fantastic places. Consider having a bottle of wine at a playground. Decorate your house with candles and burn some incense. Create a mood that will calm the nerves and soothe the soul. Your sense of romance is right on target.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22 – Dec. 20): Your imagination of how your romantic life should run is hooking you up with different opportunities. The situation you seek is within your grasp. Make sure that you aren’t trying to manipulate a certain person into becoming the person you want them to be. If you’re unhappy in your relationship, perhaps find someone new.
TAURUS (Apr. 20 – May 20): While you normally like all of your relationships to be extremely nurturing, you may find this isn’t always possible. There’s a disconnect between you and a partner that could be hard to rectify. Time is really the only thing to resolve the problem. Remember that all of your relationships can’t always go according to plan.
VIRGO (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22): When it comes to romantic relationships, you might find that you’re playing a game of hideand-go-seek. It could be that you’re purposely trying to hide in order to test the stamina of your opponent. You might want to take a new approach now, one that involves an effort toward connecting instead of distancing.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 – Jan. 19): Your dreams work nicely in your head, but the problem is how to turn them into a real life scenario. Be careful of taking too intellectual of an approach. When it comes to relationships, things don’t normally happen logically. You’re going to have to leave a great deal up to chance, so just learn to deal with things as they come.
GEMINI (May 21- Jun. 20): A project that you’ve been working on may be coming to a climactic peak. Discuss your progress with others and get honest feedback on your work. A piece of art should stir some sort of reaction inside another person. Consider ways in which you can challenge the people around you.
LIBRA (Sep. 23 – Oct. 22): You’re apt to be somewhat fickle when it comes to love right now. The key for you now is freedom. The problem with this mindset is that it might be misinterpreted. Your partner may think you simply aren’t interested. Remind your partner that it’s OK to love someone while also needing space.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18): Love and personal relationships are likely to take on dreamier and more romantic tone now. Your eyes are apt to sparkle as you speak or even think of the person you care about the most. The unmistakable glow that surrounds you is likely to attract others to your side even if you aren’t in the market for a romantic relationship right now.
CANCER (Jun. 21- Jul. 22): Be aware that love is likely to wear a disguise this week. There’s something fanciful about the way this new romance will manifest. Don’t think that love always has to be planned. There is a strong sense of spontaneity associated with this love interest. Don’t dismiss those who don’t seem practical enough for you.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): You may be confused when it comes to matters of the heart. Perhaps you feel cheated when who you desire doesn’t give you complete attention. The fundamental security of your being is your responsibility. Find a way to incorporate your dreams into the dreams of others instead of working toward opposite goals.
PISCES (Feb. 19 – Mar. 19): When it comes to relationships, be careful about insisting that everything be done only your way. It could be that you have such high expectations of your partner that they will never be able to live up to your standards. Basically, you’re setting the stage for failure by demanding that the person for you be of a certain make and model.

I like to smile at people who don’t like me because I’m an asshole.

Does every asshole know every other asshole? If I wanted shade coverage, I would of chose a tree for help!
If abs are ‘made in the kitchen’, why can’t I bake up a batch?
Those southern bell personalities are nothing but trouble! I guess having our Pride Parade four months after Pride Month is better than nothing, but it really makes Atlanta look like a second tier, if not third tier, city. 68 // 10.15.2014
Fellows like you don’t grow on trees; they swing from them.
I love the fact that you have hot friends that wear skimpy clothing.
The pity party routine has been done. That shit ain’t gonna fly for long. All bitter queen’s true colors eventually shine through. Pity, you think you’re so smart.
Man! It was an underwear party, not fashion week, you dumb turbobottom! Bye!
You are doing everything you can to turn me off...
The only thing I hate worse than a lazy top is a lazy bottom.
