And third, since when does having an online conversation translate into the same emotional and personal nuances you would experience with a live interaction? I have a clever suspicion that your endgame is just to bring home a man to mom and dad that you perceive to be better than you are; so they’ll be proud of your accomplishment in finding the perfect guy. But that’s a tale of psychology for another day. For now though, look around the restaurant or store you’re in; and notice how many people stay glued to their cell phones instead of interacting with each other. I’ve been guilty of it, especially if people are boring the shit out of me; but I do make the effort to connect with the loved ones I’m with, and you should too. There’s courage in online interactions, but all the emotions cannot be played out in the same way. Human connectivity is important in all relationships. After all, your Prince Charming may be looking around the room while you’re checking in on Facebook; never knowing Mr. Right is right there all along is the worst crime of all...and who wants to miss out on that?
Romeo, Romeo Wherefore Art Thou...Top or Bottom?? Why are so many of you single gays, and open couples, obsessed with finding your Prince Charming? I’ve read all of your social app profiles, and your itemized lists of traits needed in your ideal partner(s) are laughable. First of all, all of you are bottoms. So naturally, you all want a top of your very own, but that’s easier said than done. Before we move deeper into this column, let’s just take a moment to reflect on the percentage of tops that are currently living in Atlanta. I’m guessing 25% maybe, but certainly not more than 30%. In playing with those completely made up numbers, that means that only 2 or 3 out of 10 gay men in Atlanta are actually tops. And boy, are we ever busy. So a heartfelt thank you for those that have taken a chance on lil’ ole effeminate me. I will always appreciate the abundance of bottoms. But that’s beside the point! There just aren’t enough of them to go around, so someone call ‘Imported Tops’ immediately! Meanwhile, nut up and learn to top already. Secondly, you want them to all possess eye-rolling qualities like ‘looking for butch and masculine only’, or ‘into straight acting’...which is honestly the most fucking ridiculous expectation of all. What is ‘straight acting’? You either suck dick or you don’t. And let me tell you, if you have a dick in your ass...you’re not acting too straight. Those kinds of laundry list expectations can be kind of over the top, don’t you think? 20 | 2.4.15

Bad Jew
An Onstage Debate For Jewish Propriety By Zak Horn
Bad Jews plot centers around three of the younger family members as they come together after the sudden passing of their grandfather. Daphna (played by Galen Crawley) and Jonah (played by Louis Gregory) open the show in Jonah’s small, but very nice studio apartment in New York City. The two converse, about her cousin and Jonah’s older brother Liam who has missed the funeral because he was out of town. The beginning of the play with these two characters is very slow paced as we get to sit through one of Daphna’s many “Super Jew” rants about how everything everyone is doing is wrong while Jonah desperately tries to ignore her desperation for some kind of attention. The jokes and the chemistry between these two characters seem to fall a little flat as they set up for the rest of the story and try to find their comedic footing with some of the timing for the jokes to land. When the arrival of Liam (played by hottie Wyatt Fenner), who brings his non-Jewish girlfriend, Melody (played by Rachel DeJulio) enters the scene, then the chemistry with all four actors really begins to click and the comedy finally seems natural and not forced. Rachel DeJulio and Wyatt Fenner do shine the brightest throughout the play with their one liners and long rants about what tradition and family means to them. DeJulio’s comedic timing is absolutely on point throughout her entire performance. Liam and Daphna’s arguments over what is to be a “Good Jew” and a “Bad Jew” are terrific and very intense performances between the two 24 | 2.4.15
of them helps both of their characters really stand out on stage towards the end of the play. The play also focuses on the Jewish faith and traditions as the two siblings fight over who gets to keep their grandfather’s necklace that survived with him during the holocaust. Some areas can be a little bit touchy for the non-Jewish audience due to Daphna’s rants to Liam’s non-Jewish girlfriend, Melody, about her being inferior to her because she is not of Jewish faith. But that also helps drive home the point about how proud Daphna’s character is about being a traditional “Good Jew” and how much it would mean to her to get her grandfather’s necklace.

hey say that one of the top five most stressful things a person can go through in life is the loss of a loved one. Having to deal with the emotions, funeral, and the loved one’s belongings after everything is over just adds to the amount of pressure a family must endure throughout this difficult time. That’s what the main characters are struggling with in the Joshua Harmon’s comedy/drama play, Bad Jews.
Siblings Daphna and Jonah open the play in a small, but nice apartment.
Bad Jews is a very intense play that begins at a slow pace but finds its footing when the entire ensemble comes together and delivers a very honest story about life, death, family, and what it means to be a “Bad Jew.”

Gwen Stefani on ‘late’ introduction to gay community, teaching her kids individuality and why she’s politically private GS: I don’t remember there ever being too many rumors about that. I think everybody knew my story, because when Tragic By Chris Azzopardi Kingdom came out I had broken up with Tony (Kanal), so everybody knew that “Don’t Speak” and all those songs were about rom bed in her Los Angeles home, Gwen Stefani insists she that, so I think that’s probably why (there weren’t rumors). Girl” in 2004). That shirt was not meant to be a big statement. It can work for that, but it doesn’t have to be for that. It wasn’t meant to be like, “Oh, I’m making a huge statement here.” What I’m saying is that this shirt can work for anybody. It doesn’t matter who you are, what you do and what you think – love is love. Take it whichever way you want to take it. DA: In the spirit of the emojifilled “Spark the Fire” single, what’s your most used emoji? GS: These days, luckily, they have a little spark and fire and cloud emoji, so I’ve been using those a lot. The thing is, they’re right up my alley. Emojis are the perfect thing. Like, of course we have to have those! DA: I’m surprised you didn’t invent them, actually. GS: I wish that I did. I feel like they invented them for me. (Laughs)
DA: There are obviously lots of gays who adore you, but how aware are you of all the gay love for your hubby, Gavin Rossdale? GS: Girls and guys love him because he’s a beautiful person. The thing about him is, growing up in London – it’s such a cool place to grow up because there is so much freedom there, and there’s so much exposure to so many different people and art. It’s just a different way of growing up compared to (my) growing up in Anaheim. With all the music that we grew up to – and the British invasion and Vivienne Westwood and everything that I love about London in the ’80s – it’s been really amazing to be able to have a friend and lover like Gavin because he is from London. He’s a smart, interesting person, and he’s this connection to something I was a fan of growing up and getting to know London, where I think so much music and fashion has come out of, and which has so much history for me.
DA: Pharrell called “Spark the Fire,” which he co-wrote and produced, a feminist anthem, but you say otherwise. What does that song mean to DA: Let’s take it back to No Doubt’s “Staring Problem” you? and all those “cute girls” who made you jealous. These days, who can’t you stop staring at? Daddy Issues:
O
kay, guys, let’s admit it—we’ve all either heard or used the stereotypes that describe the relationships between younger and older men: The common, “He’s just looking for a sugar daddy,” or, “He just wants some fine young thing to show off to all his buddies.” Are these sentiments borne of jealousy, or are they true? Or does it even matter? Well, after talking to quite a few of you recently in my quest for answers, I’ve found that most guys of all ages believe, that in the absence of an imbalance of power, a Spring/Fall romance can be mutually rewarding for many reasons. Let’s hear from the young guys first!
Falling For Your Spring Chicken
- Many millennials find the mystique of rugged Gen-Xers alluring and just plain sexy! They like their deeply developed sexuality, and being attractive to these guys boosts their confidence and self-esteem.
By Jason Mietelski
- Older guys that have an air of playfulness seem to be the hottest. They’re mature when they need to be, but they maintain a sense of humor, enjoy being silly and having fun.
LEARN THE BENEFITS TOWARDS PURSUING ROMANCE WITH SOMEONE FROM A DIFFERING AGE GROUP. SURE THEY’RE HOT, OR SURE HE’S MATURE. BUT HAVE YOU REALLY THOUGHT ABOUT IT?
- Older guys who are willing to put up with the whims and dramatic flair of their younger partners are also on the “hot list”. These young guys also love having a “knight in shining armor” who will rescue them, cuddle with them, and make them feel safe. - And when I posed the question: What if he’s looking for an LTR and you’re not? Well, sometimes older men just want to hook-up. These guys know how to take charge and have a good time without reading too much into the experience.

As far as the older guys, here’s what some of them had to say: - Some are drawn to a youthful look. Being attractive to a younger man makes them feel sexy, alive, and young again.
Of course, the reasons for engaging in these romances are just as complex as our humanity. Sure, some younger guys admittedly have “daddy issues”, which is often a need to be cared for and loved; and others have control issues, enjoying their ability to wield power over their men. Then there are the 30+ guys who would never date someone more than a few years their junior, and those who would only entertain a brief NSA sexual encounter with a younger man.
- They’re hungry to experience new things: art, music, and style they feel can only come from a newer generation. In the same way, these guys also enjoy sharing their experiences with younger partners. Bottom line is, it really doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks about your relationship as long as you’re both happy and what - Younger men make some of these guys feel more re- you’re experiencing is mutually beneficial. lifestyle
A
bonus about living in Atlanta is having the opportunity of seeing celebrities. Spotting a celebrity in the general public setting is not uncommon these days. Therefore, it is rare to get star struck, unless you are caught by surprise. However, what happens when you cross paths and make eye contact with a well-known gay porn star? One can only imagine the questions and thoughts that begin to enter your mind. Is he as hung, as it seems in the movies? Would you perform well in bed if you were given the opportunity? If things took a turn for the relationship road could you see yourself dating a porn star? Porn stars are viewed differently than the average Hollywood star. It seems the reason could be that you see them in a different perspective. You may feel like you know them on a more personal level because you allowed them into your personal space while you watched them perform during your favorite jerk off movie. Watching them on a computer screen is one thing, but what happens when you meet him in person, and he begins to talk or even flirt with you? What happens if you allow your feelings to grow for this guy? Would you allow yourself to date him? These are the questions my close friend Tony asked himself. One summer night while visiting friends in Fort Lauderdale, Florida a tall, slim, athletic built brown hair and gorgeous blue-eyed guy approached Tony. Tony, who NEVER meets a stranger, was stunned when the guy began making conversation with him. He quickly snapped back to reality and start conversing with the guy. While entertaining the guy with his great conversation, Tony thought to himself “This guy looks familiar.” After the bar announced it would be closing soon, he and the guy decided to exchange numbers to meet the following day. The next morning, Tony wakes up to a sweet text message reading, “Good morning Handsome, I do not want to seem like a creeper, but I must tell you that it was a pleasure meeting you last night. You truly seem like a very genuine person and that is hard to come across these days. I hope you are available and willing to meeting some time today.” Tony, ecstatic about the morning text, quickly replies and they both arrange a time to meet for lunch later that day. Later that afternoon, Tony and the guy arrive at lunch, and they both immediately pick up where they left off the night before. After a indepth conversation, Tony mentions to the guy that he looks familiar. The guy laughs and said, “here we go”. Tony gives him a puzzled look and says what is wrong? The guy takes in a deep breath and begins to tell him why he may look familiar. After hearing the news that the guy is a well-known gay porn star. Tony begins to feel weird inside. He quickly thinks to himself, “Oh my goodness, I’ve jerked off to this guy performing in porn movies.” At the end of the lunch date both guys hugged and exchanged nice words and said their good-byes. They both agreed to remain in touch with one another.
Would You Date a Porn Star?
by Bryan Tillman 46 | 2.4.15
After returning home, Tony began to ponder about the thought of being in a potential relationship with a porn star. As the weeks and months passed by, Tony and the guy alternated weekend stays between Atlanta and Fort Lauderdale. On a random fall afternoon while walking in Piedmont Park, the guy asked Tony his thoughts about making their relationship official? Tony smiled and replied by saying, “ Let’s give this a shot.” After twelve months of dating, Tony and the guy agreed that the distance along with other factors interfered with their relationship. They both made the mutual decision that the best relationship would be a friendship for their lives..

advice
It’s easy to become addicted to the ‘high’ intimacy because pleasurable dopamine activity is boosted in the brain, just like drugs. This new interpersonal relationship is likely to take center stage instead of your recovery, setting you up for relapse into heroin. The drama of a breakup would surely put you in peril. Sobriety is a program of rigorous honesty with both yourself and the world around you, WHITE. Since you have determined to embark into a risky relationship during early recovery, you have got to tell him the truth. To stay clean you must come clean. Dear Dom, I hooked up with this terrific dude. He’s got the looks, the car, the house, the career. But the sex was just blah. Should I give him a second chance? Accept Do-It-Over Sex
Dear Dom,
Every Single Question... Every Single Answer
Boredom in the bedroom, ADIOS, is all too common. And, the problem might not be his alone. There are plenty of reasons for lackluster lovemaking: stress, alcohol, recreational drugs, lack of sleep, low testosterone. Medications can also play a big factor, especially high blood pressure meds and anti-depressants. Hell, you might just be a lousy lay. But there is hope with these suggestions. Dom’s Top Tips for Great Sex. 1) Anticipate: Whether it’s a romantic two-man bubble bath or a hardcore lube-to-the-elbow session, set the scene for sexual success. 2) Communicate: Share kinks & fantasies. Do you need a firm spanking? Do you like to roll play? Maybe you just like regular vanilla sex. Your man will never know if you ain’t talking.
Dear Dom,
3) Penetrate: Be it toys or tongues, oral or anal, ball gags or butt plugs, no orifice should ever go unexplored. Remember, happy holes am 29-year old male currently in treatment for drug ad- make for happy endings. diction. I have been clean & sober for over three months and now in a halfway house. I met this great guy. We’ve Dear Dom, been on a couple of dates and seem ready to go to the next level. The trouble is I didn’t tell him I’m in recovery. I was dating this dynamite dude for almost a year until I’m afraid he’ll freak out when he hears I was addicted to he dumped me...by text! I am so pissed. What would you heroin. What should I do? do? Will He Insist Togetherness Ends
Confused And Lonely Lover Means Everything
Keep up the recovery, WHITE. Heroin use in Georgia is exploding, If someone hasn’t got the cojones to break off a year-long relationespecially in metro-Atlanta. Nearly 100 people have died here due ship in person, CALLME, I have just three words to share, “Fuck to the drug since 2011, according to the Fulton County Medical him. Delete!” Examiner, Dr. Kris Sperry. You’re only as sick as your secrets. And this one proves you’re still pretty darned sick. Almost everyone with success kicking a drug habit warns against entering into an intimate relationship during the first year of recovery. Keep your dick in your pants. This is a time when you’re not clear-headed. You have more free time than in a treatment center. But that, combined with newly reemerging emotions, makes this a very vulnerable phase. Stay celibate. Stay sober. 64 | 2.4.15

S E S S I O N You’re cute. Just not followback-onInstagram kind of cute.
Think your tricking with my friend changes how I view you? Yeah, keep believing your ego.
My dick is not a chew toy. I would be happy if you don’t treat it as such. Being nice to someone you have issues with doesn’t mean you’re fake. It means that you were taught good manners.
And That’s when I realized you’re not that fucking great.
