Half time talk

Half Time Talk. It appears the set up is fine E.G. players able to see the board, and sitting in their lines. Think about having two tactical boards one with BP and one with BPO, this was evident when discussing combination in the front half of the field. Think about the opening remarks, not sure to open with “This is hard work here? We Train 4 times a week?” maybe better opening with a positive, good effort in trying what we have been working, can we do it better? BP: • Back 4- 6 &8: Like how moving the ball? • Passing accuracy will come along (does this suggest giving the ball away) if so show the picture of options not taken • Shape is not too bad: too general (Show on the board) • CB Driving in/Overload midfield (be specific, when you drive in can you create a 2v1, hopefully they say yes, then the next question is with who? (Show is it outside? Or centrally or both? • Midfield shape ok- then followed by playing million dollar balls when there are better options (back this up by Showing) • Is it hot out there? (Rather than using this, maybe look at something, like the conditions today requires moving the ball between the lines quickly. • Move the ball around, move them side to side (Show) make them more tired than us (this is not required, keep focused on the main points) Defending from the front: • Board well set up • Good Q&A at the start • Instead of showing Indy where to go, get her to show you • Same goes for the other players (This will show if the players understand what is required. • Good Q&A when suggesting where the team wants the ball to go. • But then provide the solutions ask questions to get the outcomes, (no player provided a solution in this part)
