BEHAVIOUR IN THE FIELD DURING TRAINING SESSIONS
During training sessions all Coaches must: 1
Ensure the physical and emotional well-being and safety, at all times, of the children in their charge
2
Assume a constructive and pro-active attitude that "embodies" the SFERA principles and which thus involves the children on an emotional and positive feeling level, thus facilitating learning and giving a sense of belonging to the group.
3
Maintain control of the group, through an appropriate positioning on the field, by means of the use of appropriate language and gestures, raising the level of attention of the children, keeping them away from any possible distractions (parents, other children, etc....). To attain these objectives the Coach should assume in his interactions with the group an attitude of leadership which is not authoritarian, encouraging and correcting all children in an adequate manner.
4
Follow in an attentive manner the training program described in the Training Guide, varying and adapting the XP to the contingencies of the moment and the group's needs.
5
Communicate at all times with the entire group, using an appropriate language for the age group, using simple and concise terminology to facilitate rapid transfer of teaching content.
6
Provide stimulating and pleasant XP which make use, when possible, of the ball; these XP should entail involvement of the whole group and should be completed with the attainment of the objectives set in the programme's design. Moreover breaks and pauses should be minimised, in order to take maximum benefit of the time available in order to provide the children the greatest possible number of experiences.
7
Inside the sports facility and particularly in the presence of the players the coach must not smoke
8
Demonstrate to players the exercise/athletic skill to be carried out
9
Avoid idle time but always allot appropriate time to recuperate
10 Make one's presence felt by all 11 Encourage and correct everyone equally 12 Arrive on the field with a detailed programme 13 Adapt and modify the XP in case of unforeseen circumstances 14 Propose exercises suited to all and in which all players can participate 15 Motivate and explain the rules to players
