4.3.1_UNDERSTANDING MOVEMENT IN THE SYSTEM

The force from spreading the system begins to open up all of the spaces between units. The initial twist from the connected strips causes the units to splay out. Due to this connection type, stress on the system now causes it to grow out in both X and Y directions.
