Concept Statement:
The “Concealing and Revealing” derives from the experience I visited Great Ocean Road which is the most beautiful landscape in Melbourne. The landscape reveals itself differently after you turn over the cliff. Your vision is regulated by those curved contours. I adopt the curved shape to create the Concealing and Revealing atmosphere. Then I introduce eight glass atriums to introduce sunlight into the building as well as give people different visal experience. The curvered speration line between airside and landside also provides different spaces for people to have coffee with his friends within “one space”. The extruded Lounge boxes are not only used to offer additonal services including children play grounds and VIP lounges, but also form part of the facade facing air side. All these features try to create the concealing and revealing experience. Encourage people to explore the building to find out their own favourite spot.

PINK POROSITY
Storefront of Silver Factory (Andy Warhol) The idea of this store front is to encourage everyone engage with the design of the storefront and each factory person will have their own private and independent gallery to exhibit their works this is inspired by andy warhole’s 15minutes The architectural composition is to put the solid pink box in the center surrounded by extruded glass boxes which can be extruded to form the facade of the storefront according to designers needs. Factory people design the facade through the extruded glass boxes which are independent small gallery too. People will enter the semi-public long ,dark narrow, corridor to watch andy’s films, finally they will arrive the private pink solid box in the center which is the theaterett the free access entrances, semipublic corridor and the private pink theaterette forms the porosity of pink in terms of visiting sequence during that process visitors will experiencing from bright glass galleries to dark quiet film corridor, then gather at the center-theaterette. This is a storefront which connects the public to the factory, it will give people different visiting experiences both hironzontally and vertically as well as let people use their sensories to feel the design of this storefront.

DESIGN THESIS Victoria Parliament Extension Australian Politic Research
There are different types of discussions in this building, formal informal private, they all visually connected, from long section people in the auditorium can see the open offices as well as the roof top gathering spaces, people on the ramp can see all these activities. These are the glass boxes people looking into the assembly, the short section is to show the auditorium, two discussion rooms and some cafe and other activities happening in the building also how the trees are planted on the roof. To summarise, the new media centre introducing different types of discussions, exposing politicians negotiation process as well as using glass boxes punch into parliament to create the new communication between media centre and parliament. that is it, thank you.
