David Noonan
‘Noonan’. Derived from Gaelic meaning ‘Beloved’ Unlike the name Murphy (ref. Callum) which is the most popular Irish name, Noonan is one of those rare and special names. In fact so rare that when typed into Microsoft word it says ‘fragment, consider revising’. However it is not a name you ‘revise’, it’s a name you are born with. You may only come across a ‘Noonan’ as frequently as you would come across an Egyptian vulture. I kid you not, that is a very rare sighting! So if you do come across a ‘Noonan’ be sure and say hello. Recent sightings of Noonan’s have included the Eiffel tower, Lake Windermere and as far as Hong Kong. And now due to recent admiration for the name, it has prompted a facebook appreciation site to be set up by newly ‘beloved’ fans. One such comment read, ‘I love your name so much I am going to name my kitten after you’. Another one surprisingly read, ‘My cow no longer Moo’s, it Noo’s!’ The Bible has even jumped on the bandwagon pledgin
