Secretary’s Scoop
› FALL 2013
It’s incredibly hard to believe that the summer of 2013 has come and gone-okay maybe it’s not officially over yet, but autumn will be soon upon us! Many of us in the NJ District are either preparing to take on the upcoming challenges of the semester, or are already beginning their fall classes. It is a busy time of the year, without a doubt, so it is during this time that club secretaries should really make sure to stay organized! In this issue of the Secretary’s Scoop, I will go over a few things that I hope will help you accomplish this! With fall recruitment and general meetings, your club has a lot of opportunities to make an impact on your campus for new students. Don’t miss this chance to really “wow” potential members and to embody our motto: “Live to Serve, Love to Serve.”
Yours in caring and service, NJ District Secretary Dawn Kreder
With SkyDrive, you can share a link to a spreadsheet that shows members just how many hours they have reported.
Have members edit a Facebook Group Document or file on your club’s Facebook pagequick and easy!
Administrative Hours – significant time (more than 30 minutes) spent making phone calls, sending emails, or attending meetings for NON-service events
Use Google Forms to have members input their hours through a survey. This is useful for figuring out which projects are K-Family or interclubs.
Having members email you or your clubs account each month is also an easy method to use!
Social Hours – attending a pizza party, board game night, etc. that was organized by your club to promote fellowship within the club
Most Hours in July: Rutgers with 247.5 hours! NJCKI’s Total Service Hours: 4,424.5
