ADULT & CONTINUING EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES ACE is now offering scholarships for qualified professional and workforce training.
We have PAYMENT PLANS! Payment Plans are available for tuition totaling more than $199. One time $30 fee required. Plan requires half down, with two equal payments thereafter. Payment plans must be set up upon enrollment. Debit cards, credit cards, or ACH withdrawals only.
We have GRANTS! Grants are a way to help pay for technical and vocational workforce programs. ACE now has two grant opportunities for individuals interested in construction or logistics. See pages 5 & 6 for more information.
We have SCHOLARSHIPS! Scholarships are forms of aid that help students pay for some or all of their educational needs. Unlike student loans, scholarships do not have to be re-paid. Listed are a few programs and fees offered through ACE.

Adult and Continuing Education uses Burlington English curriculum to help students begin their English language journey. Burlington English focuses in areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing, with access online anywhere, anytime combined with face to face classroom activities. Students can effectively improve their pronunciation and comprehensibility giving confidence to communicate in any situation(24 hrs.) NOTE: Gainesville ESL classes will be face-to-face only using Challenger and Life Prints curriculum.

Certificates in high-demand occupational fields. We offer award -winning programs that lead students to gainful employment. Students may also qualify for tuition assistance through various agencies.
PROFESSIONAL TRUCK DRIVER I/II In just four weeks, you can be on your way to a new career with the professional truck driving training program. Get hands-on skill development and instruction coordinated with the U.S. Department of Transportation. To qualify Must be 21 years or older. Must provide proof of HS Diploma/ GED. Have an acceptable driving record, Complete and pass a Department of Transportation Physical Exam. Have the ability to read, write and speak English. Meet the requirements of the Motor Carrier Federal Safety Regulations. Qualifications of Drivers classes are offered every other Monday, and tuition includes physical, licensing, and books.
ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN If you're looking for a stable career that is important in the everyday lives of people around you, this course could be just right for you. This hybrid course has an emphasis on industrial maintenance environments and provides an intensive overview of the skills necessary for electrical maintenance, including math, inspection, safety, quality, electrical systems, automation, motor controls, and assembly. This accelerated section of the online course will take around 66 hours to complete and is offered through our JobReady education partner. Along with the online portion, you will also receive 44 hours of hands-on experience from a licensed electrician teaching you some of the basic construction electrical skills you will need to start a job in the electrician career field. You will learn everything from bending conduit to installing a breaker box.
Tuition assistance through Texas Workforce Commission available if you qualify.
There are no prerequisites for this course and should take 110 hours to complete. Once competed, you will qualify for the electrical systems certification exam through SACA.

HVAC/R TECHNICIAN The HVAC/R Technician course is a self-paced, instructor supported online course that will prepare you for an entry-level career in the HVAC/R industry by providing hands-on guidance for service, repair, and solutions. This course will provide the necessary information to pass the following entry-level certificate exams: • HVAC Excellence ESCO Group: 17 Employment Ready Certificates • NATE: Ready to Work Certificate • EPA 608: Section 608 Universal Technician Certification Upon course completion, you will also receive a voucher package for the HVAC Excellence Employment Ready Certificate exam* that includes: • 1 Employment Ready Certificate for Electrical • 1 Employment Ready Certificate for Air Conditioning • 1 EPA 608 Voucher It is recommended you have a high school diploma or GED. CERTIFIED LOGISTICS TECHNICIAN The Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) ® certification program is to recognize, through certification, individuals who demonstrate mastery of the core competencies of material handling at the front-line (entry-level to front-line supervisor). (70 hrs.) Online The CLT program consists of two parts: • Foundational-Level Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) ® Certificate • Mid-Level Technical CLT Certification (CLT)
The CLA section provides students with the foundational broad knowledge they will need to understand the world of supply chain and related core competencies. The CLT section provides students with the mid-level technical knowledge needed to understand the world of supply chain logistics and related core competencies. Upon successful completion, you will be awarded the nationally recognized CLT certification through the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council. VOCATIONAL PROGRAMS-ONLINE ENTREPRENEUR BASICS Considering owning your own small business? Want to know some of the basics of being an Entrepreneur? North Central Texas College, in partnership with Denton ISD Adult Education and Literacy, is proud to offer a personal enrichment course in Entrepreneur Basics. Learn how to create a business plan, including assessing business feasibility and prepare the management and financial plans. Take home a step by step approach to attract and keep customers, with an emphasis on customer-driven marketing decisions and building a strong brand. Spring 2022 MECHATRONICS (Electro-Mechanical Tech) The Mechatronics course is a self-paced, online course that provides an intensive overview of the skills necessary for the mechatronics industry. You will learn math, inspection, safety, quality, electrical systems, automation, mechanical systems, fluid systems, pneumatic systems, and robotic systems in Mechatronics. Electro-mechanical technicians operate, test, and maintain unmanned, automated, robotic, or electromechanical equipment. (140 hrs.) This course is given in partnership with Denton Adult Education and Literacy program. Contact Denton AEL at 940-369-0410 to see if you qualify for tuition funding through their program. The AEL program will have a class start date established in January 2022 and operate as a hybrid course (part on-line, part in classroom).
RESIDENTIAL ELECTRICIAN Discover a self-paced, instructor supported, online course designed to teach you general and electrical safety procedures, use of common hardware and materials used in an electrical system, how to read and understand building plans, and more. In addition, you will be prepared for electrician licensing tests. By course completion, you should be able to pass a residential electrician licensing exam and start an entry level career as a residential electrician or electrician apprentice. (144 hrs.) Online

OSHA 10 Introduction to specific training techniques involving the safe handling of blood and air borne pathogens as well as general safety, proper use of PPE, and security on the premises. Addresses the right to know and SDS. Outlines Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, inspections, penalties, and compliance.

CNC LATHE TECHNICIAN Computer numerical control (CNC) lathe production technicians transform raw materials into finished products used in commercial, automotive, medical, and aerospace products. CNC lathe production technicians produce parts that range from simple bolts of steel to titanium bone screws for orthopedic implants. QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN When products like cell phones, computers or automobiles leave the factory, it's the quality assurance technician who makes sure they work. Also known as inspectors or testers, quality assurance technicians work on a wide range of challenging projects across multiple industries. (140 hrs., 12 months to complete.) SAFETY TECHNICIAN Safety technicians collect data on the safety and health conditions of the workplace. Safety technicians work with occupational health and safety specialists in conducting tests and measuring hazards to help prevent harm to workers, property, the environment, and the general public. SKILLS FOR SMALL BUSINESS Through the Texas Workforce Commission, Skills for Small Business program has dedicated up to $2 million to the backbone of Texas business community-our small employers. Funding for training is for full-time employees, newly hired or have been employed by the business twelve months prior. The program pays up to $1,800 for each new employee and $900 for existing employees per 12-month period.
Texas premier upskilling program, SDF grants provide sitespecific, customized training opportunities for Texas businesses and their employees to increase skill levels and wages of the Texas Workforce. Success comes through collaboration among economic development partners, business partners, and eligible grant applicants, which include public community or technical colleges.
